DISGUSTING!!! We left and was told no refund. $ 140 rate-absurd. I would have slept in my car first. Smelly, musty, dirty, bug in bed-the windows would not open. Moved to The Chalet Motel– not fancy, but clean and decent.

Do not stay with these nasty, nasty people! They at AT Thru Hiker scoundrels. They list in the guidebooks that food boxes can be sent to them. They do not mention a fee. Many businesses between Georgia and Maine will accept supply boxes and charge $ 1 or $ 2. They list that fee in the guidebooks. These crooks charge $ 25 to pick up a box if you don’t stay there. That’s robbery to begin with, but not listing it in the guidebooks is just sleazy.

A quaint Vermont family run motel. Small rooms, comfortable beds, old tvs, and an inexpensive nightly rate. I wouldn’t stay here for a week, but a night or two is fine. Out of the manchester motels on this side of route 7 it’s the best deal.

This owner is COMPLETELYUNPROFESSIONAL and it was the worst motel experience I have ever had!!! STAYFARAWAY~ STAYANYWHEREELSEBUTHERE! We booked the room during one of the worst snow storms in a few years and alerted the owner we were driving from CT to VT. We were told it would be $ 68, but then when we arrived was charged $ 81. There are extra fees of $ 3 each for the phone and internet; I was told when I questioned the total.(Why not just say its $ 81, since they don’t ask if you even want the phone & Wi-Fi?) After haggling with the owner over the extra charges, he looked me straight in the eye and said, «The heat is on and the room is warm.» COMPLETELIAR! After driving for hours in a massive snow storm and alerting the owner I was going to be late, 2 times, I walk into my room finally at 11 pm, and it was 50 degrees! On top of that the rooms have these old, small, electric baseboard heaters that take at least an hour to even turn on. So in the meantime my only option was to get under the blankets to get warm, since the room was freezing. I was then greeted by a huge, disgusting, dead black fly between the supposedly, clean sheets!(Yeah right.) The next morning(we had the heat on as high as it would go all night and it was still not even close to a comfortable temperature, I go to take a hot shower to wake up and you guessed it ~ NOHOTWATER! After taking a cold rinse(with no soap, shampoo and stained towels), I proceeded to wait 2 hours for a plow to come(there was snow up to my car doors, at least 2 feet). 9 am came and passed(Stratton Mtn. opens at 8am) and still now plow. After all that, we had to dig and push my car out of the parking lot, with no shovel and of course no assistance from the owner! When I called to reason with the owner and try to request a refund, I was yelled at and told, the room was warm, the shower was hot, I should have said something in the morning, and on and on. Okay, it must all have been a bad dream then~ I wish it had been and hadn’t cost $ 81! What kind of business owner yells at a customer when they have a grievance?
