You can get a tan and have ice cream all in the same place. Ball Park Ice Cream opened up over the summer at the Tan Lines Tanning Salon, but the ice cream takeout windows are outside on the exterior end of the strip plaza, directly across the street from Gill Stadium and a short walking distance to the baseball fields, a very convenient location. It’s a very basic«no frills» ice cream stand offering 24 flavors of hard ice cream/sherbet/yogurt. There’s no soft serve ice cream here, BUT the Cremeland Drive-In on the other side of the stadium, does offer soft serve ice cream. The items on the menu are named after baseball plays including*: Cones & Cups: Single($ 2), Double($ 3), & Triple($ 4) scoops, Grand Slam: Banana Split($ 5.95) Bases Loaded: Ice Cream Sundae($ 4.25-$ 5.25) Steal: 24 oz Frappé($ 4.00) Closer: 24 oz Ice Cream Soda($ 4.50) Sacrifice: 24 oz Root Beer Float($ 3.95) Bunt: Brownie Sundae($ 4.75) *2008 prices not including tax Bottles and cans of pop available too! I hit a Grand Slam, which had 3 scoops of ice cream(I chose cookie dough, chocolate, & strawberry) with a very ripe banana, fudge, pineapple topping, whipped cream & cherry, a decent ice cream treat. I barely finished since it was mighty big! HOURS: Mon-Sat: 11AM-9PM, Sun: 12PM-9PM
