We had bought several pieces of furniture to complete a bedroom set over a period of a few months. All pieces were beautiful and the customer service was great. A few months later we decided upon a office desk with multiple attached bookshelves. Again, everything was great. In the Spring, we saw some counter stools online that had brown leather seats. They were delivered on a dark rainy day and didn’t notice until later that the seats were 2 different colors and types of fabric. When I sent an email to the designer, she got very nasty. She responded back via email written in all capital letters. She finally agreed to take them back and we offered to bring them back to the store instead of having them picked up. While she was doing the paperwork, she only said what she had to say. Yes, she lost a sale but because of her unprofessional attitude she also lost a good customer.

I’m obsessed with French bergere chairs and saw that Ethan Allen carried some that had the bergere characteristics online but I wanted a petite version. Reading dimensions don’t really do it for me. I went in to see a few items I had my eyes on. One of the chairs I wanted wasn’t available for viewing on the floor. After scanning the entire store a sales associate/designer came to assist. I pulled up the exact chair I was looking for on my phone. She directed me to the area that chair was displayed. She didn’t take the effort to follow me to show me the chair, rather she stationed herself at the design center and waited for me to return. I didn’t purchase the chair, after the special 10% they were running I was still quoted at least $ 700 over the starting price. Sure they have a few nice items but I wouldn’t shop at this location even if I was given a 25% discount. My design consultant was not HELPFUL at all.
