This location is our preferred one. It’s pretty well stocked and preorders are easily done. If you have boys, you are well acquainted with this store chain. It’s the designer drug for their set. It’s possible to trade in your GameStop gift card for other equivalent gift cards in stock. For instance, my teenage son is into ‘steam’ now and often trades in for that online gaming community site. It’s also a great spot for accessories & some various new collector items and old school, for the older boys(the hubby!) They usually get in the latest & greatest pretty quickly. If you looking for that, just make sure you call ahead.

Slow, this was a middle of the day, there were two others in front of me and it took 20 minutes to checkout. Then they asked me if I wanted a million different warranties on the $ 5 used game I bought, to me that just doesn’t make any sense. They do have a vast selection of games, used or otherwise. I was looking for a vey specific game that I didn’t think they would have but to my surprise they had multiple copies of it. It is the closest one to me so if I ever need a game which is rare I will try them again albeit when I lived in Wethersfield, the Rocky Hill branch was the best.

Best Gamestop I have ever been to. We regularly travel past at least 3 other stores just to make the trek up here, because we know that they have the best stock in the area. The store is always clean, the games are in great condition, and the employees are incredibly helpful and always willing to go the extra-step. The store can get a bit busy, but the staff are good about getting people through the line quickly and efficiently.

Came here with my dad and sisters one evening right after I got out of work. I guess I should start out by saying I work in retail, and I had gotten off of a particularly tiring shift. I was anxious to go in, grab my copy of Pokemon Y, and head home to play it. This was right after Christmas, so of course the place was swamped(or maybe it always is? I’m not sure, since I do most of my shopping online.) I just hoped and prayed they wouldn’t run out while I got in line. Two employees stood nearby and one of them noticed me and asked if he could help me with anything. I told him I was there to buy my game and he offered to go check their stock. He was gone for what felt like two seconds(wow!) and said, «We’ve got four Pokemon X and two Pokemon Y.» The line was still super long at this point, and I’m sure he noticed my crestfallen face… but what he did next had me almost in tears. He vanished for another two seconds and came back with a little slip. He handed it to me and told me to give it to the cashier… it took me a few moments to realize that he was holding a copy for me. I darn near burst out in sobs after that… I actually hugged him! Maybe I shouldn’t have… poor guy looked a bit uncomfortable… but I was truly touched that this man was willing to go above and beyond for someone who was just looking to buy the newest Pokemon game. The girl who rang me out was very nice, too. I told her about my experience and asked for the employee’s name and she gave it to me(Jordan, I believe) and told me that I could fill out a survey online, which I did right when I got home. All in all, I was beyond happy with the service I received here, and with a store filled to the brim no less. Maybe I’m a little biased because of my retail background, but it makes me super happy to know that there are wonderful customer service employees like them, especially around the Christmas season. Hats off to them!

This is the rudest store on the planet. Customer service is horrible. They all hate their jobs.

Amazing customer service! They really know what they are doing there. Not to mention, they have a great selection of games too.

God how I loathe this store. It actually has nothing to do with the store itself, but rather than the throngs of teens, the ass and underarm smell that lingers in the store, and the overly knowledgable salespeople that act like what they are doing is rocket science. On the plus side, since I don’t bother looking on the shelves, dud at the register got me in and out of that store in less than five minutes.
