OMG!!! iused to live in Coventry and Natori was my go to lunch spot(i live in Texas now) was plannng a trip to Ct to visit friends and so looking forward to eating some sushi at Natori. I am so upset the Sushi was always awesome and was my favorite place to eat. I liked everything but the one thing i missed the most and have never found it in a Sushi place here in Texas is the Peanut Avocado rolls they were to die for. the great places never last forever

Just joined Unilocal tonight and so sad to learn that Natori closed! The staff here was very friendly, and sushi was good. Also hoping they open in another location… maybe closer to Coventry?! For those looking for a new favorite in the meantime, check out Hana Sushi.

It’s closed and my heart is sad. Not the best sushi I’d ever had but great staff, cute interior, and very decent rolls.

We are heartbroken to find that Natori is now closed. They closed sometime in February. Reasonable prices, always-fresh food, best sushi in the area, great catered sushi platters for our parties, INDEPENDENTLYOWNED, and their family and staff treated our family so well, particularly our son with special needs. Darn. And now it’s going to be a yogurt shop. DARN. We’ve got fingers crossed that they open another place someday.

Natori sushi is my favorite sushi restaurant. Their Philadelphia roll and spicy salmon rolls are amazing. Everything I have tried here has been delicious and the servers are always attentive. Their take out is also very fast, always ready in 10 minutes.

I had dinner here with a few friends and probably won’t go back for a second time. They have a good variety and a descent list of rolls. To be honest, the rolls that I ordered did not taste bad at all, but the service was not impressive.

I wanted to try somewhere«new» for sushi, so we stopped in here over the weekend for a bite. It turned out to be some of the best sushi I’ve had! They don’t have any lunch or bento box specials on the weekends(boooo for that!) so we ordered from the regular menu. We shared a plate of a couple specialty rolls and a few orders of single piece sushi(two pieces per order). Everything was extremely fresh and incredibly tasty. Both the miso and the clear soups were also pleasant, as was the cold sake. The service was great and the universal sign of closing your menu to indicate you’re ready to order had the waiter at our table 10 seconds after I closed mine. Our bill came to around $ 60 — a bit more expensive than we’re used to, but I would go back on occasion because the taste was worth the price. I just wish they had Saturday lunch specials.

I always get one of the boxed lunches from here and it has consistently been good and filling. I especially love their miso soup. I am not a sushi eater but my friends that are have always enjoyed the sushi here as well. Definite repeat.

I was walking by and figured why not. I dont have a sushi place here yet and this one was close to home. Very quiet when i stopped in. Typical ambiance. I ordered a shrimp tempura roll and california roll. I wasnt impressed with either. Pieces were very small. The shrimp seemed to be nothing more than hollow tempura and too crunchy. My other roll fell apart trying to pick it up. Ive been told chikurin is a great place so thats my next stop.

Ok, I’ve been here several times. The place looks nice and the sushi rolls and other things taste good but I really don’t think the fish is that fresh. The last couple of times I ate here my stomach hurt. I kept burping a fish taste constantly. For service… does anyone even smile here? Not really friendly at all. I think two stars is being generous. IMO, Oriental Café is where it is at… best sushi East of the River.

Portion size varies trip to trip, but quality is excellent. Don’t let the strip mall locale turn you off, considering what’s available in the immediate area… you could do much, much worse.

Happened upon this little gem after leaving a friend’s afternoon wedding. We were still hungry and this was nearby. Oh, I’m so glad we wandered in. The maki was excellent, the miso soup was made exactly the way I like it. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves thanks to the wait staff. They were attentive without being intrusive and let us chat in the corner while slowly enjoying our dinner. I will happily go again.

Me love this place! ;) The interior and everything was so authentic. For starter, I had miso soup and seaweed salad. The miso soup was a bit blend, but it didn’t bother me much. The portion of the seaweed salad was amazingly much considering it’s an appetizer. It actually was more then enough for two people. Spicy salmon roll and Veggie tempura roll were amazing! I did not expect such a good taste from the veggie tempura roll! two thumbs up! ;) They have nice sake selections too. Maybe I should try some of them next time.

Natori’s ratings are far too high. Apparently the people who are regulars here have never driven for five more minutes and ate at Higashi. I have been waiting five years to complain about what a horrific Japanese Restaurant Natori is. If you want a seat or take-out less than 1 hour prior to close, you will get the silent treatment from the concierge or even a nasty comment! Apparently 50 minutes isn’t long enough for a sushi chef to prepare food and for you to eat it.(which is highly untrue, at least for me personally.) They have a credit card machine that appears to only be working every third day of the month(not just for me but for a handful of my friends/family as well.) The atmosphere is sub-par at best and they are in a location where they are competing with at least 80 other restaurants in a 20 mile radius, but I get the ‘meh, I don’t care’ feeling. ANDTHERICEISSOGGY. I don’t care if you severe me 20 day old fish but if your rice isn’t fresh, sticky and chewy; DON’T GIVEITTOYOURCUSTOMER. I feel like they a.) they don’t know how to make sushi rice and b.) if they do screw up, instead of redoing the batch, they just use it on whatever stupid customer comes in next. I have, again, heard this from multiple people. Last but not least, I remember the annoyingly rude lady who sits at the front but I never remember my server, which means they are just as bland and un-eventful as the restaurant. We even had a sever once say we calculated the tip wrong, apparently no one informed him that a good tip is for good service. They better start building the tip into the price.

Nom! Greg M. took me to Natori today. I was quite a fan– we had seven rolls: — 2 Spicy Tuna — 1 Fuji — 1 Avocado and Peanut — 1 Philadelphia — 1 Rainbow — 1 Godzilla My suggestion? Order at least one avocado and peanut. It’s a bit nontraditional but it’s an awesome balance to all the fish, and delicious. It’s also cheap. I was a big fan of all of our others too– the Fuji in particular had a perfect spice and fish balance.

Since Tanuki in Hartford closed, I searched for«Nabeyaki Udon» on Unilocal and Natori came up immediately. I’d heard of this place, I live in Manchester and have frequented this strip mall for years but never really felt the urge to check out this place… probably because I never cared much for sushi until recently. I feel like Ive wasted time now – I could have been coming here all along! This restaurant had a very pleasant atmosphere. I went with my husband on a Friday evening, there was only one other table when we first got there, but 5 more came in as the evening went on and several to-go orders. I ordered a Tempura Shrimp roll and the tempura was still warm when I ate it – love that. My husband had the Windsor roll… I don’t know what that is but he ate the whole thing so it must have been good. I did also order the Nebeyaki Udon and it was as good as people have mentioned in other reviews. They even gave 3 tempura shrimps, as opposed to Murasaki-they only give 2. My husband had some regular Yaki Udon and he was filled up fast. I’m so psyched to have found a place with good Udon in my town. I don’t really like leaving the Glastonbury/Manchester/East Hartford area to go out to eat, so this place is great for me. Close by, very convenient and free parking(as opposed to going into Hartford or West Hartford where you pretty much always have to pay or else walk several blocks) I also like to keep my eyes out for places to eat by myself. When my husband goes out of town I like to treat myself but usually get too intimidated to eat out on my own. However, I would be comfortable eating here by myself. But they also have take-out, and a lot of people were in and out with it all night. Thanks Natori! I’ll make up for lost time soon!

Decent sushi. Everything was fresh, and tastey. Not much else to say… typical above average sushi joint. One for the back pocket.
