I do not go here a lot. But tonight, the cluck-bug bit me, and it was kinda late. I didn’t even know if they’d be open. Hit the drive-through. Some female SFI with Connecticut plates was ahead of me. Acting like she was ordering a gourmet meal. A guy behind me got out of his car, and started yelling about movin’ the line. Holy mackerel. I just told him to get back in his car. .. there’s an SFI in front of us. She kept putting the vehicle in reverse, and I thought she was going to smack into me. The drive-through closes at 9:30 p.m. I got to the squawk-box at 9:30 p.m. Placed my order. They didn’t have much. .. nothing wrong with that. I get it. I just said, «Give me what ya got.» I got a lot for $ 9.31. At the last minute, I threw in a large Diet Pepsi, and I think she threw that in for me. Because she had to deal with the SFI in front of me. I got 10 pieces of chicken. They weren’t big, and most of them were wings. But I got a good thigh(like I need more of that) and good customer service(for which I am always grateful). And the chicken tasted great, probably because I hadn’t had either lunch or dinner. But it hit the spot. And we had a good laugh about the SFI in front of me. SFI — I just made it up. It’s an acronym for stupid f*cking idiot.

Food’s usually decent here, but the last two times I went in(as opposed to drive-thru), I was not happy. Place seemed dingy to the point of near-grungy, plus it seems as though the staff is not assigned correctly or is often short-staffed – for example, nobody on register for long periods while orders are being filled, so customers aren’t acknowledged until staff is ready to take orders, even by the person filling the condiments or handing out completed orders. I don’t need to be greeted the minute I walk in, but a simple«sorry for the wait; we’ll be with you in a minute» sort of comment would be appreciated. Polite when actually dealing us, though. As someone else said, drive-thru seemed to get priority.

Extremely disappointed with our experience here. I took my family here for lunch on a Sunday. It was raining out and we decided to get our kids out of the car and go in. We walked in, there was only two people in here working, a guy at the drive thru and a lady cooking and refilling the food bins. We were NEVER acknowledged and waited 5+ minutes. Two other families came in behind us filling the lobby up. I gave the drive thru guy an «excuse me» only to be ignored. We wound up leaving. Will not go back!

2 words: FOODPOISONING. Got popcorn chicken and a sandwich for dinner on Sunday, was awake until 3AM throwing up among other things. Couldn’t even hold down water for a day. After taking 2 days off of work i am back in the office but still mildly nauseous and zero appetite. Not only will I never go back to this location I will never eat at another KFC again.

Another KFC that pleased me with their great customer service. I got a meal-deal and they let me replace the cole-slaw with a different side, which was nice. Also, when told there was a wait for the extra-crispy chicken breasts in my order I was offered a free soda to make-up for the wait, a nice gesture that reminded me of the great service at anther KFC I have reviewed in the past when traveling. I’m glad this one near me is great too! The seating area was cleaned well with nary a dirty table so I felt comfortable while I waited, as opposed to some fast-food locations that seem to have tables forever coated in grime. I am very happy with this KFC and shall return in the future when I get another craving for fried chicken.

I stopped by to grab a quick lunch to take back to the office after running a few errands on my lunch and decided to get the new 2 piece Boneless Combo, which is served with 2 pieced of Boneless Chicken, a side, 1 biscuit and a medium drink for $ 4.99, not a bad deal right? Wrong! The chicken was awful, it was chicken shaped together to «look» like the matching piece of chicken on a bone. I had a «wing» and a «breast» both of which seemed to be leftover pieces of chicken that wasn’t served just shaped together. This is a pure marketing. My suggestion to KFC is stick with what you know, regular fried chicken and even sandwiches. The would had been better off giving me two pieced of chicken from one of their sandwiches instead of the disaster that was served.

It’s only a couple of blocks from where I work, but I have not eaten that this location before. The place was completely renovated about a year or two ago. Today I was in a bit of a time crunch. I didn’t have time for the typical sit down lunch but more time than a drive through. As I was driving down Manchester, I looked over at the KFC and thought why not. It was extremely clean and everyone I came into contact with was very polite and actually had a smile on their face. KFC is pretty much KFC. The chicken(original recipe of coarse) was great along with the mashed potato’s and cole slaw. Nice quick fast and tasty.
