Very poor service, ordered take out, was told 25 minutes, showed up after 25 minutes and they just started making it and waited another 35 minutes. On top of the wait the manager had no concern and put off checking the order upon coming back for the 2nd time. Food was descent, couple of the orders were cold, only good thing was the chorizo nachos were excellent, and that’s why we give two stars and not just one. Will not be back and look forward to the next establishment to take this location when this one fails.

this is a great Mexican restaurant. the food is authentic, flavorful and plenty. The drinks are very good and the attention is great. Reasonable prizes and a great atmosphere. What more could you ask for?

Just not good– I liked them when they were in their old location so I was looking forward to trying them again. Margaritas tasted like Gatorade with cheap tequila even though we ordered hornitos. Food tasted microwaved and bland. I’ll be sticking to la caretta where I can consistently good something good and the service is much better.

Marginal, at best. The only thing saving this review from 1 or 2 stars was my meal was actually pretty good. Same location as the old PJ O’Sullivans. Same terrible parking. And same terrible bathrooms. El Jimador tables, decent décor, but eh. I totally wasn’t feeling it. The service was just plain bad, and it wasn’t even that busy. No chip refills, no offers of water(and that was forgotten after it was requested) and no check ins from waitress. I wanted to give this place a try because I love Mexican food and margaritas! Margarita was just OK. I won’t return.

When El Jimador moved, I was VERY worried. But visiting it two weeks ago, my fears were put aside. Populated PJ’s, previous tenants, and loved it, and now we have a familiar face to visit. The Shrimp/Crab quesadilla is fantastic. Pork enchilada verde is tender and tasty. For those who do not like refried beans, it’s OK! Refried and mexican beans are on the side. No worries! And the mexican beans are excellent! Their chips and salsa beat out even the Elm Street restaurant; and it isn’t as noisy, I can talk to my husband! 5STARS !!!

Food and drinks were good, staff seemed nice, but the service was disorganized. We sat at the bar and had our drinks very quickly, roughly 2 minutes after ordering our food though the plates were in front of us. I don’t think we had even taken a third sip. When we eventually finished our drinks we waited 5 minutes for someone(manager?) to notice, and asked if we wanted another, we gave our drink order and waited another 5 minutes, at which point we just paid our bill. It was at that moment the manager told the other bartender we had wanted another round. She explained that she had been making another batch but, no one had bothered to tell us. We would have gladly waited as we actually really liked the atmosphere. But when I go out to eat, I don’t want to be in and done within 20 minutes. Maybe it is just growing pains.

When we there the service was terrible and the food was mediocre at best. There were 5 of us and it took a very long time for some if the food to come out. Chips and salsa were a nice start but it went downhill from there.

My husband and I absolutely loved El Jimador and were so excited to finally go to La Fiesta Mexico. The food was good but not as good as El Jimador. We had major issues with the service. However, if you can get past the lackluster service the Mexican food is delicious. We never got a drink menu and had to ask for one. They screwed up both my husband and I’s order. It took them 30 minutes to bring out the corrected dinner. Our waiter was unattentive and had to flag him down for drink refills and the check. The table sitting next to us and one across the room also had their orders screwed up as well. It wasn’t busy enough to justify all the mistakes. They JUST opened so I am going to give them the benefit of the doubt and go back again.

I am from Utah originally, where there is excellent Mexican food everywhere! I moved to Vermont eight years ago, and have been yearning to find that same fabulous food I grew up eating. FOUNDIT! The salsa, guacamole, and chips are fantastic! I had the Fresca margarita, delicious! My husband had the fajita quesadilla. It was excellent. I had a combination plate, so I could try as many things as possible. They were very accommodating to my request to have something on my combination that was not listed on the choices. I had a chili relleno, tamale, and some chili verde(my substitution) with rice and beans. The flavors were fresh, traditional, delightful! The service was top notch as well! I can’t say enough good things about this place, and can’t wait to come back!

El jimidor was good! But they have reopened in a better location and made everything better. Food is amazing. Drinks are good. Plenty of parking across the street. Looking forward to every visit.

La Fiesta is excellent!!! I loved when it was El Jimador at their former location on South Willow. Now the bar is triple the size, more tables, more parking(right next to them is a Huge lot just for La Fiesta) and the same wonderful food. Some of the items I’ve tried are margaritas(!!), #12 on the Lunch menu(Mon-Sat), Chicken soup(amazing), Tortilla soup, Queso Fundido, Enchiladas Poblano(this is their mole sauce), Enchiladas Mexicano, Enchiladas Verde. I’m sure I’m missing items. Lets just say I haven’t had anything I haven’t enjoyed. La Fiesta’s food is homemade and made with pride. Think of an abuela(Grandmother) cooking for you. La Fiesta is the BEST Mexican restaurant in the area. Once you try it you’ll quickly forget the others.

Really enjoyed this restaurant on Christmas day! They have great Michelada’s and Mojitos. The food was great had nachos and steak(felt guilty about that in a Mexican) and atmosphere and staff were great. Will definitely go back and keep trying everything from the menu.

La Fiesta Mexico is now open for business, located at the corner of S Willow St and Maple St in the former PJ O’Sullivans building. El Jimador of Manchester up the closed several months ago and the owner relocated and renamed this Mexican restaurant and bar La Fiesta Mexico. The place was renovated with festive décor on the walls, flatscreen TVs with the bar area to the left and main dining area to the right in one big open room. Much of the furnishings including the decorative shiny tables from El Jimador were transplanted here. Mexican music plays over the speakers. The menu offerings(similar as El Jimador) include the standard Mexican fare including tacos, burritos, enchiladas, fajitas, chimichangas, salads, desserts and other specialty dishes. Most entrees priced $ 9.99-$ 16.25 range. Similar to other area Mexican restaurants, Lunch Specials are offered Mon-Fri(until 2:30PM) and Sat(until 2PM), $ 6-$ 9 range. I stopped here for lunch today after I heard the announcement of the restaurant opening. They passed their inspections and approvals including from the Liquor Commission. A full bar menu with beer, wine, margaritas, and mixed drinks can now be served here. They had deliveries of beer, wine, and liquor today with the Amoskeag Beverages truck seen unloading outside. The taps at the bar were still being hooked up during my visit. I was promptly seated in the dining room in a soft booth. Complementary warm crispy chips and medium salsa were brought over. I ordered the #12 Lunch Special: One Chicken Burrito and one Chicken Enchilada topped with Poblano sauce, lettuce, sour cream, and tomatoes, served with rice. While the food was being prepared, I finished the basket of chips and salsa and the waitress promptly asked me if I wanted more, which I accepted. The entrée arrived to my table very hot. The Chicken Burrito and Chicken Enchilada with the mole sauce was excellent. The pulled chicken inside was very tender and soft. The Mexican rice was cooked soft. The waitress checked up on me often and I actually requested a box for the food since I had enough to eat and I filled up on chips. Next time, I will get dessert. Overall, I’m very happy to see La Fiesta Mexico(formerly El Jimador) back again on the Manchester dining scene. I really enjoy Mexican food and La Fiesta Mexico and the«other» Mexican restaurant on Second Street are on top of my list for tasty Mexican fare in Manchester, NH. PARKING: Ample free parking across Maple Street. NOTE: This business is not connected with the La Fiesta Mexican Restaurant in Upstate NY(Clifton Park and Colonie).
