I want to love this Maggie’s location, I really do, because it’s much closer to me now but honestly I haven’t had as good of service or food here compared to the one in Glastonbury. The last few times I’ve been here my waitress has gotten my order or people at my table orders completely wrong where it just shows a lack of listening and carelessness. I’ve noticed the food quantity and quality constantly changes everytime I come here as well, while you know exactly what you’re getting at the one in Glastonbury. I think Manchester needs to revamp their staff and work on quality of service as well as focusing on standardizing the food in the kitchen. Until this place gets their shit together, it looks like I’ll be going out of my way to the Glastonbury location!

I love this place but bad service can really screw up a good meal. The selection here is pretty broad so if you can’t find something here you have a problem. Our food arrived quickly but our server was not prompt and I had to track him down to get drink refills a table setting basic stuff. The place was not extremely busy so that was not an excuse our food was good prepared correctly but I felt totally forgotten We should have went to Moes

So after about a year sabbatical from Maggie McFly’s in Manchester after having a horrible experience with an awful wait(over an hour) to get our food … which was a simple salad, burger and kids grilled cheese only to have the waiter completely drop our whole tray of food on his way to our table… I decided to pack the kids up and give it a second try today as a celebration of the end of the school year and boy was I disgusted again. We ordered two kids grilled cheeses(which I should compliment as the grilled cheese was good size and opting for the sides of fruit the kids chowed large bowls of fresh fruit…) and 2 salads. Shortly after diving into my salad a bug came crawling out… It takes a lot to get me disgusted but that did it. I quickly flagged over the waitress and explained the situation and told her I did not want to finish the salad anymore and my mom who was joining us and eating the same salad was as disgusted and no longer wanted her salad either. A manager soon came to the table and the first question she asked was«well what kind of bug was it? just a gnat?» First of all, it doesn’t matter what kind of bug it was its still gross and no it wasn’t just a gnat, it was a large green flying bug… How about«I’m so sorry»… nope never got an apology… We were offered another salad or something else but knowing the kids were finishing up and would get antsy as soon as they were done and being completely disgusted we both opted to just go without, have a couple bits of the kids grilled cheese crust and go on our way. Obviously the restaurant refunded the price of our salads and as we let the kids finish up I feel as though we were completely ostracized. No one paid any mind to our table from then on out… no one offered to refill either of our waters that were both sitting empty, no one checked in on us at all… the waitress came over and handed us the check and that was our only encounter with anyone after returning our meals which the bug was truly enjoying… Completely disappointed and so unfortunate as we have been to every Maggie McFly’s in the state and love the menu, love the food, love the atmosphere but Manchester… get it together. Will take the 20 minute drive to Glastonbury next time. Heck will even head to the Southbury location before coming back to Manchester again.

Average place overall. We sat down and then had to move because of a leaking roof. Ordered lettuce wraps which were okay but nothing compared to PF Chang’s. Had chicken tortellini soup for $ 9 and it came with one tortellini and a few tiny pieces of chicken. Not impressed!

Many of my friends raved about this place. Maybe I just ordered the wrong items(French onion soup and a French dip sandwich) but I wasn’t all that impressed. Something in the soup was a little off for my taste. Maybe too much wine or perhaps the croutons. The French dip was much better than the soup. Full of onions and mushrooms with plenty of cheese. The service was great. Menu is a bit overwhelming. Ive heard the lobster Mac and cheese is really good, but I’m not a fan of that to begin with. All in all I would say it’s worth a try, the service is great. Be prepared to spend some time with the huge menu and the prices are a little steep in my opinion.

Strike TWO Come on… this was my go to place to grab a bite or a night out-regularly .But I am not sure why the last two visits have been horrible. Service– distracted and so slow. The waitress seemed to just put up with us, sulking at everything we asked for, like cutlery, water :-(Really !!!. We happened to be there for a sunday brunch and dinner. The waitress could not get an order of omelette right. Had to send it back twice as they would bring the wrong ones to us(some other table’s it was). The dinner service was just rushed through even though there were a lot of empty tables around. If I was a minute late, waitress would have dumped everything in my bag and pushed me out. She really was in a bad mood and made sure we knew it. Everybody has a rough day here and there, understandable. But we eat out for the same reason too, to have a good time. That should not be a worry when out to a place with such yummy food. BTW, the dinner(street tacos, Louisiana chicken) when we got, were delish as usual. Again, terrible service. Pick up your game Maggie…

This place is pretty new. It’s very clean and the centerpiece of the restaurant is a beautiful bar with comfy chairs. Whenever I go, I typically sit at the bar. The bartenders have always provided great service. I like that they have a great beer selection. As far as the food goes, their menu is huge. If you have a hankering for something, they are more than likely to have it. Whatever it is. Each time I have been I have been pleased with my orders. The salads are large and you get a good amount of the toppings. The onion rings are really tasty as well. Overall I’d say this is a pretty solid choice.

The restaurant is located in the mall so there was ample parking for everyone. Upon entering we got a table right away without a reservation. The restaurant was packed and pretty loud. I loved that they were playing an upbeat mix of popular music. We were seated near a window and caught a nice refreshing breeze instead of being clammed up in the dining room area. The seats were comfortable and my friends even commented on how comfortable they were upon sitting. Right away we were given menus and we ordered our drinks. The waters were brought out within minutes, as well as my glass of wine. We asked for a minute to look at the menus which are HUGE! The restaurant should really think about simplifying their menus, as looking through did make it a little overwhelming to select what we wanted to order. Our waitress’s name tonight was Anna, she was delightful. We ordered our appetizer and with the appetizer one of my friends ordered a «blueberry vojito», which Anna explained was like a mojito. The appetizer came out rather quickly and everything was really good. I loved that it came with raw veggies(broccoli, carrots, red, and green peppers) as well as chips for the artichoke and spinach dip. There was also garlic bread, hot wings, and some sort of egg rolls with guacamole. We didn’t attempt to finish the whole thing because we wanted to save room for our entrées. Once our entrées came out Anna took the appetizer tower away upon our request and we inquired about the vojito that had been ordered. She apologized for its tardiness, went and promptly retrieved it, and struck it from our bill. My friends ordered a chicken dish with pasta that was a bit under seasoned and a burger salad that was described as really good. I ordered the gourmet grilled cheese that had 2 kinds of cheeses, bacon, and tomato on it, and a side salad which was very colorful and quite fresh. Overall it was a nice meal. We paid our bill which was handled quickly and on our way out we decided to hit up the Nora’s cupcake counter. The girls behind this counter were pleasant and polite. I selected an Oreo cheesecake cupcake to take home to my husband and my friends chose a 50 shades of chocolate cupcake to split once they got home. My husband loves Nora’s and was thrilled with the cupcake I presented him once I was home. I had a pleasant experience with Maggie’s tonight, nothing to rave over but they did a good job.

We went for brunch last Sunday since we have only been for happy hour/dinner and the menu is usually over whelming. The brunch menu is way shorter than the regular menu. We ordered the buttermilk pancakes with a side of bacon and french toast with a side of sausage. It was evident that the food was fresh, the pancakes were light but still delicious and the apple smoked bacon was not oily and had a slight crisp to it. Both items came with a local maple syrup and the sausage appeared to be hand made also(not the usual links but 2 patties). The french toast was perfect and visually appealing. Overall, I would rather come for brunch than dinner because I can make a decision in a few mins. Service was timely and our server was very nice.

We went on a Wednesday night, it was the second time I’ve been here. I live in CA but I visit my brother in the area very often. Nice to see the food is local and fresh. The menu was overwhelming. They had just about everything, it seemed to be all over the place. As I mentioned we went on a Wednesday night. There were 3 adults, 2 teenagers, and a child. First thing I noticed is that we sat there for a long while before anyone ever came to the table. I guess the manager, came took our order and the food server came by to apologize. But the wait seem to get even worse. We started out with the nachos and an order of guacamole. I had the sliders, an appetizer as a meal. It was good. My brother got The Pilgrim and it states on the menu that it comes with a side of gravy so we had to wait to ask for it then a longer wait getting it. We spent over $ 130 and I just could not believe the lack of service. The food good but if you have a full service restaurant, the service has to be just as good as the food.

Gave this place another chance after some repeated mess ups. Best way to describe it is «Overpriced and not worth it.» Ordered a to go order totaling $ 45 for potato skins, fajitas and chicken. Good thing I checked the order when picking up. They forgot one of the sides. Ordered everything well done, things were not well done. White rice tasted like salt. Chicken and spinach tasted like nothing but salt and garlic. Hardly any toppings for fajitas. Barely any bacon on 11 dollar potato skins. I mean really. If youre going to be pricey fine but please don’t mess it up and then skimp on lettuce!

I walked in and asked the host if this place was related to Cheesecake Factory. She said, ‘No’. I said it, reminds me of Cheesecake, she said ‘I think that’s the point’. haha Well, she was right. Almost exactly like Cheesecake Factory. Huge, tall booths. Large multipage menu. Similar décor… almost a carbon copy. My spouse and I ordered a couple of sandwiches and fries. His burger was quiet yummy my blt was just ok. The menu includes several food and drink options. I also noticed a daily happy hour special from 3pm to 6pm and brunch on Sundays. If you’re hungry and in the area, it’s a fine place to have a meal. Nothing special, though. Great service and easily accommodates large groups, if necessary.

Maggie McFlys at the Buckland hills mall was my wife and I second stop of the day for drinks and apps while we holiday shopped. We sat at the bar at this large restaurant and bar. It seemed pretty busy with holiday lunches/parties. As we sat the bar staff was very inattentive to us. The bar was not very busy, and they both prob walked by us 4 times each. Kind of frustrating as I almost had to say something to get his attention. Next the bar was still dirty from previous guests and we were handed wet sticky menus. We ended up ordering there fresh fried mozzarella. It was well done and served with a chunky marina sauce. You could tell that it fresh mozzarella not a frozen piece. I ordered the beer sampler for $ 14 which you can get 28oz of any of their draft beer. I ended up trying a Sam winter, Sierra Nevada, otter creek and a ten penny. It comes out on a board that they use chalk to write the names on. Next a grab an order of hot buffalo wings off the bar bites menu for $ 4.99. It came out wit 6 crispy wings. Great value. We ended talking to the guy next to use and the 2 next to him as they all came in to try a new Goose island beer that just came out. I guess they all got emails from Maggie’s about the new beer coming out that day. For the food and drink I would like to give 4 stars but the bar staff was not good so there for it’s only a 3. The owner has 4 of these and wants to open one up on the jersey shore. He will need to work on his bar serve first,

I’d driven by the Maggie’s location in Southbury a ton of times as I was traveling for work, but never had the opportunity to try it. With the opening of the Manchester location, I’ve now had that chance. The Manchester Maggie’s is located at Buckland Hills Mall, so parking is largely going to depend on the parking situation at the mall. There are spaces right near the restaurant, but those spaces are also close to Barnes and Noble. Around holiday time, you’re probably going to have a little bit of a walk. The location was bigger than I thought, and has a ton of seating. I haven’t eaten at the bar, but it appears there is a decent amount of bar seating as well. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, which is nice given that 1) the place probably gets really busy, and 2) it’s so large that it probably takes some time to navigate through when it’s packed. They all had smiles on their faces, though, and the waitress at my table was attentive and(again) very friendly. As far as the food, the menu is really extensive, similar to the Cheesecake Factory. That’s good if you are in a big group or have picky eaters, but it can take some time to navigate through and figure out what you want. I’ve tried burgers, sandwiches and the fries(regular and sweet potato), and all were pretty good. If you enjoy Nora’s, Maggie’s does have some of their cupcakes for dessert. The beer selection is quite good, as they have something like 40 beers on tap. I noticed some nice variety of breweries(local ones, Captain Lawrence, Allagash, to name a few). Overall I’ve had a good experience there, and it’s a decent option if you want to grab lunch while you’re at the mall.

Been coming here since they opened and can’t praise them enough. The atmosphere is great, its a place we know we can come to and have a great meal with no screaming kids. The wait staff and management is always pleasant and friendly. When it comes to the food, its always spot on. Flavorful, piping hot and so good. There are many options so we never get board. The thing I like best is that they are flexible when it comes to the food, customizing it to make you happy. NORA cupcakes are delicious. If your looking for great atmosphere, scrumptious food and nice people, come here.

Dined here with some friends while visiting. This seems to be a normal chain restaurant with a HUGE menu, quite overwhelming if you ask me. You get free breadsticks when you are seated, free and tasty works for me. They have some good lunch combos. French onion soup is delicious not too salty. My sandwich was decent but nothing to rave about. Waiter was very friendly, they even saw us give my friend a bday gift and brought over a free dessert for her, score!

TL;DR: Farm fresh, fluffy, flavorful eggs, quality customer service and a wonderful brunch atmosphere makes this our new go to north Manchester Sunday Brunch spot. I didn’t think I was going to be a big fan of this place because I have dark memories of Cheesecake Factory(being overwhelmed by the noise, the lights, the patrons and the pages upon pages of menu) and I could tell that this place had a lot in common with it. We attempted to go to Maggie McFly’s on a Saturday night, but as anticipated that was just too much for this sensitive soul. Instead, we came back on Sunday morning for brunch. What a great idea! We were seated quickly with our pick of seating as it wasn’t crowded. We opted for outdoor as it was a beautiful morning. We sat outside on the patio and there was a wonderful late summer breeze. We got a kick out of the smooth jazz music(Taylor Swift with a saxophone) wafting through the air. Our waitress was pleasant and prompt, albeit not overly so. That’s fine. She did a good job. The restaurant has a wonderful farm fresh brunch on Sundays from 10:00 to 2:00. Absolutely delicious. I ordered an omelet with spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes and onions. Delectable let me tell you. The servings were plentiful. The eggs were so flavorful and fluffy. The veggies delicious. I ordered a fruit salad as a side and it wasn’t one of those sad syrupy sweet fruit salads that are mostly just red grapes you sometimes get. Good sized chunks of a variety of melons(yes with grapes), served chilled. Mmm mmm good! My partner also ordered an omelet. We had been losing hope in finding a delicious brunch place in this part of Manchester, but we’re so glad that we didn’t give up. Not only is it delicious, the atmosphere is quite lovely. This place was outstanding. And considering it was the same price or cheaper than IHOP this is definitely our new go to spot. Those eggs are just to die for. I will give this place a try for happy hour one day when I’m not too tired since it is really quite loud in the evenings, but their app offerings look sooo delish!

My only experience with this restaurant was years ago in Danbury, which I found to be just okay. I was hoping to have a much different outlook and experience on this location but I feel the same way. This is definitely a good place for happy hour, a quick drink or some place to go to watch a game at the bar. As far as the food goes it could be better. I had their version of Shepard’s Pie, and my boyfriend had the slow roasted beef. I found both to lack flavor. In my opinion they try to make classic favorites but fall short in the taste and flavor department. On a positive side, I do like how they support CT businesses by offering their products in the restaurant. And the staff is friendly and pleasant. I do plan on returning and will update my review if I need to.

Tonight was my second visit to this location, both times for dessert. We sat at the bar both times. We had a lot of fun with our bartender tonight– he had a great sense of humor and put up with our crazy trio of girls, which is always appreciated. Tonight I ordered a Malbec, which arrived as a generous glass and was a solid choice, and the Banana Caramel Cheesecake Xango. Wow. It was described as banana slices, cheesecake and caramel inside of fried pastry and served with Praline’s Vanilla ice cream, so I was essentially expecting a slice of cheesecake inside of a pastry crust with a scoop of ice cream on the side… but it was much, much more than that. This may have been the first time I didn’t manage to eat all of my dessert at a restaurant. It was really good, although a little tough to eat with a spoon– it was cheesecake covered with fried pastry, bananas, caramel, whipped cream, and vanilla ice cream all served in this huge goblet. The pastry was sometimes tough to cut through, but it was delicious! They have a pretty extensive dessert menu– it’s a two page sheet(although their menu is huge in the first place!) and they feature NoRa’s Cupcakes out of Middletown as well as some other local options(both of my friends ordered the Lyman Orchards Apple Crisp). Last time I ordered the Bananas Royale, which was essentially a banana split(again, if I recall correctly, served in a huge goblet), and that was really good too. I went to the Glastonbury location for happy hour one night, and would love to come back and try some dinner. What I can say for sure is that the dessert does not disappoint!

After being contacted by the manager, I am giving another review based upon today’s lunch visit with my daughter. My previous review rated Maggie’s at 3 stars. My daughter and I stopped in today for an early lunch, just as they opened. We were seated in the small dining area straight ahead located behind the hostess station. Beautiful, airy and bright(even if it was raining)… Service wise: Our waitress Ashlyn was pleasant and did everything correctly: gave us time to look at the menu, honored the special request of extra dressing on the side, asked how our meals were and offered to bring boxes for our leftovers. In fact, something I have realized about this place: ALL of the servers are present in their job, friendly and warm. What would put this place over the top though is just fine tuning the service a bit. Yes they all do their job however, going the extra mile whether it is holding open a door or complimenting a guest or offering to bring refills before someone asks… that’s what will set Maggie servers apart from other chains. You guys are 80% there. Food: Our bread was delish. I didnt receive it last time so I didn’t even know Maggie’s served it until today. Fresh and warm, I could have made a meal of it. My daughter’s chicken nuggets were more like popcorn chicken but she ate them regardless. The fries were hot and crispy. The only bummer(and certainly not the fault of anyone at direct management level): Her food was $ 6. Kid’s meals don’t include drinks. And so for her lemonade, an additional $ 2 was added. $ 8 for a kid’s meal is a little steep, considering mine was $ 11 for an entire sandwich and a side salad. I went for the Reuben this time. SOGOOD. This sandwich does not disappoint. It was fabulous. Hot and stuffed and gooey and just a huge comfort food on a rainy day. Loved it. Again, the salad was killer. This Caesar side salad I got just blows me away every time. It is all mixed, every piece of lettuce has dressing, the fresh cheese and croutons — I just think it is divine. They are on to something with the salad. Maggie’s will continue to be on my rotation of favorite places. I really have grown to love it here. Dependable, solid food and drink and quick at lunch too. Way to bring one home for the team, McFly’s. And you certainly are as your name suggests.
