I have eaten here three times now, and each time has been satisfying. The first time my husband and I split a cheese pizza to go while driving to a friends house. It was OK it was just cheese pizza! The second time my sons and I visited my sons had steak bombs and I had a slice of pizza, the pizza was fine and my son really enjoyed the Steak bomb. Today my sons and I visited again I tried something new, I had a buffalo chicken sub and sweet potato fries. I have to say I really enjoyed both. One of my sons had a bacon hotdog, and Jersey fries. Other son had a steak bomb with waffle fries. Everybody left happy and was full bellies. Service was great too I left a extra large tip because she was so awesome.

I gave it another shot and decided perhaps their cheese pizza would be better than their«chicken salad» and my was I wrong again. Awful cheap cheese on the a flimsy crust. Hard to eat with my hands and it would literally fall apart. This place is a joke and I won’t fall for their witty sign again.

I think this is fantastic pizza. Very unique flavor and taste that has been a local favorite for years. I buy a pizza from this place whenever I am visiting Manchester.

This place was an amazing find. The service is amazing to begin with. Big smiles, great attention to detail, and personalities that are engaging and friendly. The food was beyond delicious and came out out so fast and fresh I barely had time to open my iPad, which I quickly forgot about once I took the first bite of my steak and cheese sub(steak bits! Not shaved or sub par). It was a fantastic little family owned restaurant that I can immediately tell has regulars that come in daily just from the time I spent there. Will be back for sure!

Helped a friend move today and when the job was done, we went for pizza & beer. Not being from the area, I was along for the ride. The pizza was just«OK». We had a deluxe pizza. The ingredients were fresh and the pizza itself had a yummy hard bottom, almost like it was cooked on a wire rack. But overall, it was nothing to write home about. Sorry Manchester.

What’s not to like? Friendly and fast service, cheesy and delicious Greek style pizza and real steak sandwiches. I love Pappy’s!

I love their subs. I usually get their grilled vege or tuna subs. They are packed with veges and cheese and if it’s tuna, the tuna mixture is perfect. Delicious and generous in portion. I also recommend their onion rings! Pizz is ok, but that’s because I’m not a fan of greek pizza. But my brother likes it. The veggies on it looked fresh and lots of cheese! Definately my favorite sub destination!

Steak Bomb Sub was awesome. Great, friendly service. The servers stayed on top of how satisfied I was. The serving size is very plentiful. It was real steak in that sandwich, fresh bread and amazing flavor. The onion rings were well cooked and also plenty. The atmosphere was casual and relaxing. It is an easy place to park in a city where parking is a premium. The parking was free and the lot had available spaces. When you pull in, the sign says voted best pizza and best steak subs. I can’t speak for the pizza yet, but the sun is amazing. I will definitely return on my next trip in a couple weeks to try the pizza.

This is a family runned business that takes care of their clients. They are true professionals with a laid back atmosphere. The food is always fresh and delivered timely. They have two very wonderful waitresses(young blond a young brunette) that add the finishing touches to a great place to eat. I strongly recommend this place because I have been there every week for two years and I love it more every time :)

I stopped in for a quick slice and was amazed at the positive attitude of the staff!!!(I know! Really shouldn’t be that way … I wish all places were like this!). I actually thought the pizza was ok … Not the best ever but because of the staff I would highly recommend this place!!! Just can’t say enough!

Everyone bragged about this place, so I decided to try it out. They have a very large menu, but I was in the mood for pizza. It sucked, maybe I have high standards for pizza, because everyone bragged about the pizza here. Presentation was good, but the sauce tasted like water, too much cheese, and the dough was too thick. Though it was cooked to the perfect texture, the taste was not good. I am sure the other things on the menu are not bad, since it was busy when I came. I probably will not come back, but don’t let this review stop you from trying out the other items on the menu, just don’t get the pizza.

Their coupon is misleading, so they should work on their sentence structure. Otherwise, their food is great, except one time their pizza sucked.

This is the best steak sub you will ever eat, I promise. Don’t even bother looking at anything else… go for the steak sub!

Good food for a decent price. Steak bomb is very good. Fresh ingredients. Salads are a bit lacking, but they taste fresh and are a good price. Had the buffalo chicken salad.

My usual chicken fingers are so delicious. I tried a cup of the corn chowder it needed a little salt and pepper. Mmm chicken fingers

I know this is a Manchester staple but I wasn’t really impressed. Their breakfast was good but everything else I’ve had has been lackluster. I really wanted to like this place and kept giving it chances but was still disappointed. Luckily its cheap so I didn’t feel cheated.

I’ve long admired the Pappy’s that used to reside up at Hampton Beach(unfortunately, it’s been gone for years now) and I was pleasantly surprised to find one of their affiliate restaurants in Manchester. Thankfully, this restaurant carries the Pappy’s torch like a champ. I loved the seasoned fries, and the Tuna Club was just right. The tuna wasn’t too fishy, or smothered in mayonnaise, and the ingredients were fresh, not slimy, week-old leftovers. Plus the prices were pretty cheap, which was perfect for a poor, starving college student. My dining companion had just a traditional cheeseburger, which by my inspection looked like a standard Market Basket-bought burger. But, she said she loved it, for what it’s worth. I’m looking forward to making a return trip to see if their Pizza Burgers(ringing in at just $ 4) and their onion rings live up to the hype that their departed Hampton Beach counterpart set.

Back in the day, you could order a steak and cheese submarine in N.H. where the steak was not shaved, scraped, and pounded on the grill until it resembles dry beef jerkey. I don’t know when this trend started; but, i wish it would go away. Certainly, most sandwich shops do not serve steak and cheese as Subway does: where they pull it out of a watery, soupy mess and then slop it on one of their«freshly» baked doughy inedible sticks of bread. Back to Pappy’s: Here they serve a proper steak and cheese, that is, you can actually tell that you are eating steak. Their steak and cheese sandwiches are rated #1 in Manchester and for good reason: they are delicious. They fill them with chunks of tender beef, no shaving here. Their pizza is standard Greek-style, baked in pans, with a sauce that is not as subtle as the Italian, and better cousin. There aren’t many pizza and submarine shops that have servers anymore, so Pappy’s is a welcome change in that regard. I have always found the service here to be adequate and I have not had any of the issues some of the reviewers have described.

I was actually ready to order extra cheese and our waitress wisely suggested that we wouldn’t want to do that because their pizza is pretty cheesy to start. She was absolutely right. I’m pretty sure that if you ask for extra cheese they add another half pound of cheese to the pie. Seriously, a lot of cheese. So if you like greek style pizza that’s super cheesy this is your place. They have table service which is a plus too.

A Manchester institution which has been serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner to families for over 25 years. The menu is available for takeout or dine-in at very reasonable prices. Most of the food items here are under $ 10 with daily specials posted. The breakfast menu offers eggs, omelets, hash, French toast, pancakes, Belgian waffles, panfries, and more. The regular menu offers pizza, calzones, burgers, hot dogs, subs, sandwiches, salads, fried food, Italian dinners, and desserts(Blake’s Ice Cream treats, puddings, baklava, cakes & pies). Coke products, beer and wine served here. I stopped here for dinner recently and sat myself at an open booth in the small casual dining area, which was crowded and noisy. I ordered the Spaghetti with Sausage($ 7.25) served with a garden salad and bread. The salad(iceberg) with a cup of dressing was very basic. The good portion of spaghetti was soft, the sauce had good hearty flavor, a bit salty, and the sausage was very spicy. For dessert, the Rice Pudding($ 2.25) was served cold and refreshing. The food here is pretty good, but the service here was a bit scattered with minor delays because the place was very busy. My waitress checked on my table only to drop off food and pick up dishes, serving several other tables. I had to track down my waitress to pay the check, so I could boogie.
