Food was just ok. Chicken tikka masala had nice flavors in the sauce but the chicken was a bit dry. All white meat and plentiful though. My favorite was the bread… it was similar to indian naan but a little thicker and crispier. However, the salad was way too oniony and had the texture like it was sitting in dressing far too long. And the vegetable pakora had a really funky flavor that I did not enjoy at all. I also did not enjoy the really doughy, not crispness of the pakora. It was so bad we had a ton left over and, for once, I did not want to take it home. Restaurant was clean and service was super friendly and quick. Just not impressed with the food…

This is our to go place when we want indian/pakistani food. You get the most delicious goat, lamb and beef preparations here. Lamb boti and beef behari are our favorite appetizers. Lamb korma is our favorite main course. The butter naans in the sides are awesome too. We love the food here, so we dont mind the slow service!

In my past 5 years, I never tried in this restaurant, thought to bring take away on 12⁄28. That’s the worst plan I made. The dishes I ordered were basic dishes and they are finally gone to thrash since everything except one dish that too expensive but not worth for that money. I asked the starter with Indian spicy and gravy and biriyani with medium Shrimp tandoori — only chilli powder spilled over and too hard Goat biriyani — too big pieces, no taste on rice. Lamb starter — too hard Tawa paratha — I never saw such 1 inch thickness and not even to eat to loose your chin Finally Lahori roast — $ 24, thought it would at least worth for cost since I never saw this price for tandoori dishes till now. No Masala inside, it was quite hard. Altogether 110 $ was worth finally $ 11 as butter naan is good If you want to have good food and not to waste money, go to any other place. I suggest this restaurant should not be listed in any website.

we went for buffet and It was the worst decision made by us. Food was tasteless and was not fresh. Please think before you go for buffet here.

The food rating is a full 5 stars. Our dinner was truly excellent. For appetizers, we had the samosas which were amazing. We ordered the chicken tikka masala which was authentic — cooked with the right herbs, well spiced and had amazing flavor. The chana masala was also great — reminded me of eating this in north India. My in-laws also enjoyed the beef boti kebabs. I didn’t eat that dish but they loved it. The naan was soft and fresh — we tried three kinds — plain, garlic and onion. As take-out for 4 adults and 2 kids, the portions were very generous. The only downside was that delivery took almost 45 minutes. Will definitely try more things from the menu next time I’m in town.

I am surprised, how come this restaurant is not getting enough attention. Its truly a hidden gem. Authentic Indian/Pakistani food, very friendly service and best part is that they make everything fresh. I ordered, Chicken Tikka, Goat Biryani and Goat Korma. All the items very good. Only downside as other reviewers have mentioned that they take a little while in preparing the food but thats expected when they make everything fresh. I can wait 15 minutes longer in order to have freshly made food. I am sold!

Is this place a real business? I’m writing this review because I’m so bored out of my mind sitting here waiting for take out for over 1 hour and 30 mins now. I was told it would be an hour initially which is already unheard of!!! I came 1 hour and 10 mins later. And I’ve been waiting now for 25 additional minutes. They keep saying«5 minutes». Lies, u clearly have no idea what 5 minutes means… I’ve been here waiting for 30 minutes now!!! Best part is its 8pm on a Wednesday and there is one table dining here. What is happening in the kitchen!!! Do not waste your time at this joke.

My first visit was not what I expected. We had just returned from Canada and were extremely hungry. My four year old was about to cry. We ordered Chicken biryani and Chicken Karhai, which is standard Pakistani food. It too them one hour to prepare the two dishes. People may say, they prepare from scratch, but biryani needs boiled rice that can be prepared ahead of time. This was a weekend at 6:00 pm, usually the busiest at other places. We were the only people here though. Food was average. Pakistani karhai does not have onions in it, but theirs did. Onions make it a Chicken curry masala as onions are main ingredient in curry. The while point of Karahi is no masala, no onion, lots of tomatoes, etc. Biryani was no better. Probably the most blank biryani I’ve had. I usually go to Desi Zaiqa just 20 minutes from Manchester, but wasnted to try Ronak this weekend. Not again. I suggest, sincerely, try Desi Zaiqa in Windsor and see what real Pakistani food is like. I suggest Ronak staff should try it as well.

We have been waiting for more than 2 hours now(and counting), and we were just told that our food will be ready in 10 minutes. We initially thought of dining here, but after an excruciating wait decided to take out our order. I don’t know which year it would be when I get my food and finally eat it. Watch this space for further updates.

The 2 of us came in on a Thursday night at 8pm, and the restaurant was empty. Nevertheless, it took them one hour to bring out our food, one item at the time. By the time what we thought being the last item came out, we were angry and not hungry anymore. We asked for the bill and to pack up our food, and we were informed that we were still missing naan. My paneer tikka masala was spicy, not tasty. My husband’s aloo gobi matar(excuse the spelling, if wrong) was nothing but boiled vegetable in a spicy, watery sauce. It took them 10 extra minutes to pack our food. At 9.20 we finally left the place. I would not recommend it and we’re definitely not going back.

The Chicken Makhani(or was it Tikka?) was WAY too spicy although I asked for mild and had no taste except for HOTHOT! It also took them FOREVER to deliver :(

I ordered my food today and was told that it would be ready for pickup in 2 hours !!! The lady on the phone said that there is some religious thing going on and you have to wait. These guys are very biased towards a particular ethnic group, I think Moslems If you guys cannot cater to everyone without bias, then better place a placard in front of your restaurant **only for Moslems**

This place is a gem! Everything is made to order so your food is fresh and patience is rewarded. 6 of us went there and sampled a lot of different food. The biriyanis were good, the kebabs super, Bihari kebab, seekh, chicken tikka all standout. Goat curry was insane but the dish that makes this place is a veggie dish, a besan cake curry that I cannot remember the name of. Think of light dumplings made from lentil/gram flour. Outstanding. The cool part is we met mom and dad the chefs in the back and the kids run the front with friendly informative service. Indo Pak Mexi USA stylee seal of approval!

Great food. Beef kheema and goat biryani is must have. Biryani quantity is really good. Butter garlic naan were good but little low on butter. I will definitely recommend this place. Good thing is they are open till 11.30pm. This is a family business and their hospitality is commendable!

This has become a family favorite. The waitress we had refilled our drinks quickly and was able to explain any item on the menu very well. If you are vegetarian there is an excellent selection. All food that we have had to eat here has been scrumptious. Everything is homemade from scratch for all main dishes so if you want to eat in I suggest either ordering ahead or having a good amount of appetizers beforehand if you’re starving. When it comes to spicyness make sure you’re honest with how hot you want it. Food My favorite appetizers are the chicken or veggie samosas(both are delicious in their own way). The tomato chili soup has a unique flavor that is also good. For main dishes I’ve had the cheesy chicken paratha, vegetable roll, daal makhni(black lentils), mutton kunna, chicken tikka masala, and passanda. If you want to try or like lentils then I think the daal makhni might be what you want to get(goes well with naan). If you’re looking for meat I’d say go with the passanda and/or cheesy chicken paratha(kinda like a chicken quesadilla).

Ordered through Eat24 for a 5:30 delivery and they arrived at a little past 6. The naan was good –reasonably warm and one large piece of bread. I like that I had the option of choosing butter or no butter. I also got the Palak Paneer and Navratan Handi. I was not fond of the Navratan Handi even though I am a fan of dishes like that but I felt the Palak Paneer was tasty. I would agree with other reviews — don’t order or go there if you are in a rush!

Chicken seekh were very good. However the Dal makhani, or was it? The chef needs to find out what Dal makhani is, till then remove it from menu. I will reserve my comments till I go again for full course.

This was our first time here and we were treated to an amazing experience! The entire meal was made to order, even the breads! The whole meal, including several appetizers, was about an hour and forty five minutes, giving my husband, daughter, and I time to really enjoy each other’s company and learn more about the restaurant! Our waitress was so sweet, attentive, and helpful! She answered all of our questions and gave us suggestions. If we didn’t want to spend that much time at dinner, they offer takeout, delivery, or we could call ahead and have it ready to eat when we get there. The price is so reasonable. I was able to have a beautiful vegetarian meal at the same time my family satisfied there carnivorous ways! What a gem!

I’ve visited Ronak twice, and I think it’s a great addition to Main Street. Unfortunately, we were the only table filled in the restaurant both times. The service is friendly but slow. However, since there’s not a constant flow of people in the dining room, my assumption is that everything is being cooked to order. On our last visit, we ordered: Naan w/kalonji Vegetable biryani Pakora Chana Chaat Vegetable hot and sour soup Everything was great. The pakora were fried but fluffy, almost like they were in a pancake batter. The naan was wonderful — the kalonji seeds added just a little bit of an essence to the bread. The biryani was much more flavorful than the version of the dish I’ve had at other local restaurants. The prices are reasonable, the food is tasty, and the waitstaff are friendly. Plus, I think with its Main Street location and pretty blue walls, Ronak might be #1 in ambiance compared to India Kitchen, Priya, and even Indi-Go Bistro.

Unlike other Unilocalers, I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Ronak. Yes, when I arrived at the restaurant I was the only one there but, I immediately felt at home. Aiyla was incredibly welcoming. I came in to dine for one and was not judged at all. I ordered my entrée hot and again, unlike other restaurants, she didn’t ask me, «are you sure?» or give me a strange look. I told her I wanted my food nose dripping hot and that’s exactly what she delivered. She even brought me a side of sliced green chiles in case my palak paneer wasn’t hot enough. The rice is not included in the cost of the entrees however, the entrée plus the side of rice is identical to the price of those of their competitors. My food was delicious and the service was amazing. These people truly want to make their business the very best it can be and it shows. We need more restaurants like this. Without hesitation I will definitely be back.
