Amazing service, even better food. Can’t wait to dine again! Escargot was AMAZING! Could easily eat there two nights in a row.

I couldn’t believe the large, eclectic menu for such an intimate restaurant of just six tables. In fact, I was a little skeptical that the chef could be as good as touted with specialties from Germany, Puerto Rico, New Orleans and Baltimore. I had a grandmother who was German. I was never able to conquer her art of cooking spaetzle. Well the spaetzle here was finer and absolutely delicious. My husband and I had two children who went through college in Baltimore. So needless to say we have eaten numerous crab cakes. We never had any that were better then those served at the Silver Fork. I could go on and on. My husband and I have traveled to Maine for many summer vacations and while my husband always chose to eat lobster the traditional ways, I always looked for a little more creativity. I found it here with lobster chunks on a portobella mushroom, vegetables and a sauce. But the true piece de resistance was the bread pudding soufflé with a coconut cream sauce! Truly scrumptious. Jake our server was friendly and attentive.

Do not bother with any other restaurant in Manchester. If you are looking for superb cocktail and food creations, an intimate setting, attentive service AND reasonable prices get here. Now. We took a chance late on a Friday and wandered in based on outstanding Unilocal reviews. Jake, our soon to be server, kindly checked with the chef/owner to make sure they would stay open. They graciously offered to seat us and the next hour and a half was pure bliss. The cocktail menu(and wine list for the matter) is unique and well-crafted. Try the Tom Cat! We had the turnip gratin and sautéed oysters for apps. Beautiful creations! Dinner was the salmon strudel and the crab cake. Highly recommend both. The rosemary bread and tapenade was such a pleasant surprise when they could have easily served French bread and butter like everyone else. Lastly, we enjoyed dessert… Caribbean bread pudding. The presentation was fantastic and I won’t spoil it — see for yourself. Definitely try to get a reservation or walk in like we did and enjoy!

Compared to NYC standard, it’s 4 stars but it’s one of the best in this area. Excellent service, great atmosphere, decent price, wine list, cocktails etc. I will definitely come back. Only 6 – 7 small tables. Food: 4 stars(filet mignon was good, duck ok, Osso Buco ok, mussel excellent, desert bread pudding was great) Service: 5 stars Interior: 5 stars Price: 4.5 stars

I can’t say enough about this place– you must dine here if you’re in the Manchester area. My boyfriend and I have been to Silver Fork on a number of occasions and each time we try to order something different and each time the meal is equally as amazing as the last. We still talk about a foie gras dish that was on special about a year ago– we hope they put it back in the menu(fingers crossed) soon. Also there’s a bread pudding soufflé with coconut which is to die for– you must save room for that decadence! Yes, you must make reservations as the space is tiny and intimate, but I like the fact that the waiters and the owners get to know you a little bit throughout the meal instead of being tossed out in a hurry. The Silver Fork will not disappoint.

Came here for dinner. Was asked whether I had a reservation and we didn’t. Was told to leave. No line to stay in, no waiting list — was just told to leave. Not going to come back here ever again. TIP: RESERVATION, RESERVATION, RESERVATION.

My fiancé and I dined here last Sunday night and boy were we impressed. From the second we walked in we were greeted by the chefs wife and treated great. She explained his culinary trainings and why the menu had a little bit of everywhere they have lived. My entrée of the duck breast was one of the best meals I have had in a while. My fiancé got mussels which were plentiful. For an appetizer we split the goat cheese soufflé with homemade melbatoast and fig jam, one word, AMAZING! Definitely our best meal of the trip in Manchester. For dessert we had a ‘shutup’ which is coffee with rumchata and I’ve decided it’s the only way to drink coffee from now on. Side note, heavy hand at the bar so make sure you bring a DD. The next time we come to Manchester we will definitely be going back!

Absolutely spectacular. Food was out of this world good, and staff were a delight to talk with. This is an epicurean diamond. Establishment is small, cozy and warm. You will want to spend very special occasions here. Am scheduled next for New Years Eve 2016.

For such a small restaurant(only 6 tables and some chairs at the battle) the menu is extensive. So many appetizers and entrees to choose from. It took us about 20 minutes to figure out our order. Lucky for me the chef makes a side of spätzle which help my decision making move quicker. If you like French onion soup, try the three cheese soup. Even comes with scissors to cut the cheese. Delicious. The tuna ceviche was out of this world and the biggest portion I have ever had in my life. For entrees we had the beef stroganoff and lobster portobello. Devine. And lastly the crème brûlée and white chocolate mousse for dessert. Left happy and stuffed.

Tried booking this restaurant when we arrived in Manchester. we called again and got a table after a couple cancelled. Thanks for cancelling. My impressions: A place where dining becomes an experience that etches a wonderful feeling deep in your memory whenever you recall it. For example– there is a framed display with numerous medals on the wall. My curiosity was insatiable so I asked the waiter about them. I asked by sheepishly inquiring –saying«are those equestrian medals and ribbons» he replied«why no– those are the chefs!» And then our experience began. All the food was wonderful. Thank you!

Really cool place. Eclectic menu with a mixture of American, German, and Caribbean food. My only regret from this meal was not ordering the french onion soup. I had 1 bite of it and I want to go back and order it.

Love this place! The food is top notch and the service is awesome! We’re from NJ and every year we come to Vermont… this restaurant is one of the main reasons! The wine list and drinks are just as good as the food. For an appetizer I had grilled pears with a lavender honey glaze that was excellent My husband had the Mahi Mahi special made to perfection. The dessert was pastry wrapped figs with goat cheese ice cream! Yummy! This is definitely a place to check out!

What an awesome place! Was able to get a last minute reservation due to a cancelation for a Saturday night. As mentioned in other reviews, this place is run by a husband/wife duo. The husband is the chef who creates Caribbean fusion dishes. The wife runs the front of the house and hand selects the wine list. This has definitely been a recipe for success. It’s a cute small restaurant with quite limited seating. The wife is incredibly friendly and knowledgable about the menu. My friend and I tried a couple appetizers and a couple main dishes. Everything was delicious. The menu changes to I won’t do into specifics about what I ordered(because chances are there will be something different when you eat there!) However I can say that we definitely enjoyed everything that we tried. I will definitely go back the next time I am in Manchester. Please just go to Silver Fork(if you can get a reservation). You will not regret it!

Incredible. The food is innovative and delicious. The tuna ceviche and bread budding were stand outs. Both were the best we’ve ever had. The service was top tier. The husband and wife owners are authentic people and make you feel welcomed. Cute atmosphere. Make a reservation early or you won’t get in! If I’m ever back in this area this will definitely be on my must do list.

My sweetheart and I went to The Silver Fork for the first time on Saturday evening, and WOW!, I wasn’t prepared for it. We were greeted by a knowledgeable, enthusiastic, friendly server, who picked a perfect wine for me(2010 Anton Bauer Wagram Cuvee — a red blend from Austria). The challenge was to decide what to order from the most exciting and alluring menu I’ve ever seen. So… instead of ordering an appetizer and entrée for each of us, we shared five appetizers, and each of them was splendid. We started with cold apps: the tuna ceviche with mangos, dates and tostones, and a caprese salad with tomatoes from Earth Sky Time Farm. Then, the warm apps: lobster Caribbean risotto, a flat-out amazing pizza-like flatbread topped with duck confit, goat cheese, shiitake mushrooms and caramelized onions, and an astounding dish that combined shredded beef brisket and homemade spaetzle, with fresh horseradish grated on top. One of the very best dining experiences I’ve ever had. Incredibly innovative, perfectly sourced and executed. I can’t wait to go back!

I love to eat out and always on a look out for a great place. Silver fork is one of my great find. My girlfriend and I dined here this evening. We started with white sangria which was very refreshing. Then a nice crusty bread served with olive tapenade. Followed by goat cheese soufflé with fig jam and toast. My girlfriend had veal emincee I know she liked it because she polished the plate. I had the Maryland crab cake with shoe string fries, it has real lumps of crab no fillers(which I hate) and of course I polished my plate too. We tried to save room for dessert but we were so full we couldn’t possibly do it. May be on my next visit. The service was very attentive and gracious. The owner was the one who took our orders. The restaurant is small I recommend making reservations. I was lucky to get a table for 2 on short notice. I will definitely come back here. This restaurant also support produce from the local farmers. I will definitely come back.

Outstanding meal and great hosts! The place is tiny. 6 tables and 6 seats at the bar. Reservations are probably a great idea. The menu is diverse but curated well. The chefs traveled background is apparent. Everything we ate was outstanding. The scallops, lamb, mahi mahi and tuna ceviche were great. Great wine selection as well

Silver Fork is indeed a great restaurant and well worth the time of anyone staying within a short distance. The appetizers and dessert here were outstanding. An order of chicharrones de pollo were flavorful and fun, drenched in a bright lime-tinged sauce. A Lobster Risotto and a caramelized smoked salmon dish were both superb as well. Be warned that the salmon dish is quite sweet, but still works. Our mains, the stuffed cod and veal emincee, were a bit bland, especially the veal. Maybe we just ordered the wrong items or it was an off night. Our dessert, a massive floating mango soufflé, was absolutely excellent. It had a deep milky, vanilla taste, set off by an eggy custard upon which was draped big dollops of mango caramel. This dessert will easily feed three. The service here was wonderful and everyone was amazingly nice and quite eager to please. A pretty great restaurant and a very nice experience.
