This has easily become my favorite coffee & more spot in Manch. In less than 10 months, they have mastered the trifecta of great coffee/tea, fresh«farm-to-table» eats, & personable service. Their menu is intentional and fun! I have enjoyed hot and cold coffee, cold brew, LOVE the golden spice tea from A&E, and today I had an iced blueberry ginger buzz! I’ve also had a few sweet treats from the side case and the free ranger — the homemade brioche bun is AMAZING. Natalia takes the cake though. She is thoughtful and her RAD personality definitely sets the tone for each experience. She & Bo are a great duo!

Tried TLM while visiting my parents who live within walking distance and who have never tried it. Drinks are very tasty, food looks and tastes great and service was excellent and friendly. Will definitely visit again before I head back home!

It’s hard to find a farm to table restaurant in Manchester, and the Local Moose brings that high quality/high integrity food without the pretentiousness(or price!) of some of those other few options. A unique, delicious menu coupled with a super friendly staff. I’ve been three times and I plan on returning many times in the future.

Ok, from out of town just visiting and saw this local gem on Unilocal and had to try it. First, the staff here could not physically be any nicer. From the time we entered the place to when we left they were all smiles, helpful, friendly and just upbeat. They made us feel like locals. We came for a late breakfast and some coffee and could not have been more satisfied. Everything is prepared with local or regional ingredients of the highest quality and it shows/tasted like it. The brioche bun on my breakfast sandwich one could have eaten plain it was that good. I normally get black coffee or a plain latte, but decided to try the maple latte special. Wow, it was one of the best coffee drinks I’ve had in years. Love the inviting dining room, friendly staff, and top quality food and drink. I could see how it can be easy to miss if you’re driving by. Plenty of parking, easy for us to get to. HIGHLY recommended.

This place is so great! My boyfriend and I are in town short term while he is directing a play at BHS and this is going to be our go-to spot! The menu is amazing and the ingredients taste fresh and they’re locally sourced from New England. Natalia(the owner) is super nice! There is art on the walls and they occasionally have events. This spot has been open for less than a year but I really think this will be the think tank for arts, culture and counter-culture happenings in Manchester!

I think I stumbled into a favorite local watering hole. After driving up from Boston early on a Sunday morning I still managed to beat most of the locals. I was looking for a coffee shop/café and the Unilocal reviews looked pretty good. The cashier(manager?) was very friendly and welcoming; I asked her what to get for breakfast and she recommended the Free Ranger(breakfast sandwich). I took her suggestion and ordered a small coffee as well –served up in a cute glass mug. I’m glad I got there when I did(maybe around 9:30A?) because I scored a table before it got crowded. Their food is locally sourced and the place is cute and clean. A little off the beaten path, maybe, but I can see myself coming back for repeat visits.

Overall, this place does a good job. The space is clean and bright. The parking lot is too small, but that’s not really the restaurants fault — in my opinion. The banh mi, while not traditionally accurate, was a fine take on the sandwich. The bread isn’t the typical French style loaf, but it was very good. The bread was crusty, but not messy. The inside was light and airy. The veg filling was bright and crisp. The pork meat patty was fine, but lacked flavor. They did a good job about not over salting. Is this a great banh mi? No, but for this part of New Hampshire, I’ll definitely come back to eat here and try the rest of their offerings. It’s not pricey by sandwich prices, but it is pricey for a banh mi. I’ve never paid this much for a banh mi, but I’m used to going to Lowell or Dorchester in MA for ‘local’ banh mi. Oh well.

Thank you! Finally a great healthy spot in Manchester!!! This is a destination place for me it’s that good. Delicious fresh sandwiches and wonderfully friendly service! I’ve had the Hungry Goat and Curried Chicken now, both on the gf wrap(which is the best I’ve had!) Yum!!! Can’t wait to try out more options.

The best service I’ve ever gotten at a coffee shop in Manchester, also the best gluten free house made muffins I’ve ever had! Way to go! The only downer is the location, but totally worth it!

I love the selection of coffees and espresso drinks. The food is always made to order, fresh, and using locally sourced ingredients. They offer a good selection of gluten-free and vegan baked goods but on weekends have donuts!

Boom! The Moose is loose! Apparently this quaint little breakfast nook hasn’t been open long, but we hope it stays that way. Dropped by due to some good Unilocaling, and was not disappointed. Very cute space, well-appointed and on target with their ‘green’ theme. Appreciated the slimmed-down, simple but adequate menu of local sourced foods/meats, and the friendly service. Prices were downright surprising for a locally sourced place, with my ‘Free Ranger’ egg breakfast sandwich with cheese and bacon only setting me back 4.75. Awesome! Good coffee and oh the vanilla crumb muffin! Downright delectable! Would definitely eat here again. And probably the time after that. And…

I have been coming to The Local Moose for a while now and I am just as impressed today as I was the first time I went. The coffee is always spot on. The food is consistently excellent. The bread is quite possibly the best in the state. Staff is always really helpful. They also have high chairs which is a huge plus for those of us with kids. If you are one of those people who actually believes that«gluten sensitivity» or «gluten intolerance» is something that actually exists despite science and the medical field saying otherwise, they have you covered with tons of gluten free options. On the off chance someone actually suffers from Celiacs, they should be your best option in New Hampshire. I can’t help but wonder about some of the negative reviews. One reviewer complained about the prices when she ordered a grilled cheese and soup. A grilled cheese is $ 3.50. I think the most expensive food item is $ 10.00. She also commented that it was greasy. I didn’t know it was suppose to be dry? It seems as idiotic as complaining that they don’t have something that is currently out of season.

The Free Ranger and the Caramel Latte are AWESOME! I highly recommend The Local Moose. I love what they stand for and I feel good about eating ingredients and buying from local businesses. I also highly recommend the Vegan Chocolate Banana muffins and the Spiced Coffee Cake muffins!

Old habits die hard. I was a big fan of the Golden Bowl which previously occupied this space. Saw the Unilocal reviews and wanted to try. Super cute place with amazingly nice staff/owners. Not sure if they owned the place. Very limited menu… wish they had more choices. I tried the Bahn Mi and it was blow your socks off awesome! Liked the whole farm to table concept. However, I would forego that concept for more food choices. :) Also, they had a coffee bar with lots of choices. This would satisfy my need for choices but I was already well caffeinated so I will have to try on my next visit. A must try for all.

This place is fantastic. It is exactly what a café like this should be. Reclaimed wood, bright and sunny inside. They use locally roasted beans, local produce and food if they can. They bake bread in house and cater to just about any allergy needs. Ive been in multiple times and so far every bite, sip, and moment spent has been happy and fun. Natalia is such a fantastic barista and all smiles and happy all the time. Highly recommended.

Smallish place, nice, cozy, décor. Service was very friendly, and incredibly quick. I came in the A.M., around 9:30. I got their«Free Ranger» brioche breakfast sandwich with fennel sausage. The sausage came through in the sandwich and was quite pleasant, without being overwhelming. It appears they bake their own brioche rolls, and it was quite nice. Soft, very tasty. My sandwich was ready in, quite honestly, fast food standard time. Probably five minutes. The espresso was full bodied, not too bitter. Quite nice. Not too expensive either. I paid around 7.25 for the sandwich and the double espresso. They have a Bahn Mi sandwich on their menu, and if their French bread is as good as their brioche, it’ll be fantastic. I look forward to my next visit.

What a great new establishment! Located in the old Golden Bowl location on Queen City Ave. Nicely renovated inside. Friendly staff. Locally sourced food. More of a coffee house than a café. Order at the counter and they call you when it’s ready. We got our food to go because they were quite busy on an early Sunday afternoon. They have tables and couches for relaxing. Nice vibe inside. Limited menu but everything on it is fantastic! The breakfast sandwich(The Free Ranger), we added 2 smoked bacon slabs to each, was fantastic. It comes on an amazing brioche bun. Best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had! The maple bacon and chocolate donuts were really tasty. I was surprised how good. They definitely have some great recipes! Quality ingredients as well! The Bahn Mi sandwich was delightful as well. It’s nice given the location that they have a Vietnamese option. The pumpkin pie slivers were also delicious. The crust was so good! I also had the green mango tea. So good! As you can gather, I’m a fan and will be back often! Check out their Facebook page for their daily specials.
