these guys are liars and thieves — do not eat here!!! They lied about prices and overcharged me $ 10 higher than the menu prices for items and then lied about the prices on the menu, and conveniently refused to show me a menu to prove what they said. I confronted them with my receipt and with the menu and they still refused to correct their lie and return my stolen money. I ordered $ 10 lunch specials they lied and said lunch ended at 2. When I went to check it out, the menu clearly said lunch was until 3. They took $ 33 for $ 20 worth of food. That constuitutes fraud and I reported them to the dept. of consumer protection.

This is my very first Unilocal review ever. I’m typically not a review person because honestly I don’t know how useful they are but I just felt the need to talk about this place. WHERE has this place been all my take out/​delivery life? Occasionally I get bullied into ordering delivery for the family instead of going out to eat which is what I prefer. With delivery food I am always less than pleased with what ends up being delivered but this place is a totally different story! First off their menu has a lot of choices which sometimes can be a problem because nobody can be good at all things but Im feeling pretty optimistic about this place. we ordered a pizza and it has healthy options for me which I like so I ordered a salad. the food was delivered earlier than promised by a very polite young lady with a polite personality but then it got better my salad was fresh crispy and delicious. the dressing was fantastic. The pizza was great the kids loved it and I’m just so happy to have found this place for those nights that we do order out. We will be ordering from this place hands down every time we want delivery! I’m actually looking forward to our next delivery night and picking from the menu!

This place takes the I don’t give a damn trophy. The girl that answered the phone could not have been less interested in anything I was asking about.

We were in a rush. Ordered an 8″ meatball & sausage grinder w fries to share. It was served within minutes, on two plates, w what appeared to be an order of fries on each, in total was more like 12″. Well above average food, service, quantity for a below average price. I’ll be back.

Very bad. Pasta smelled funny and tasted funny. Found a bone clip in my meatball. Sauce tasted like it was on stove in pot for 12 hours. Also had that burnt taste, gross.

We’ve ordered delivery from them around 5 or 6 times now… Always quick delivery (even on Friday/​Saturday nights). The delivery guys are always friendly. You get your money’s worth — they give you so much food! Their clam strips, turkey grinders and pizza are great. The only thing I didn’t really care for was the veal Parmesan grinder — not so great. But when I don’t feel like cooking, they’re our go-​to for delivery :)

Upon moving to Manchester I had to try all the pizza places to find my favorite and im still searching. Vic’s is an average place with decent food and is relatively inexpensive. My favorite is the calzone. This isn’t the best eat in restaurant but if you want take out this is a good place to try.

One of the best pizza houses in Manchester. Try it, you will enjoy it, and they deliver to South Windsor.

We had one of the worst experiences ever with Vics. Ordered two grinders, was told 30 minutes. Over an hour later food finally showed up. One grinder was completely the wrong grinder. Placed a call back, woman acknowledged the mistake, but said «can’t you just eat it». When we said no, she said they would send a new grinder, but it would take over an hour. That wasn’t happening. When asked for the driver to just bring our money back and take the grinder, we were told no and that if we wanted a refund we needed to come down in person. I asked to speak with the manager and the woman said that the manager was too busy. I asked for a return phone call. Nothing. Also looking at the grinder I noticed that the edges of the American cheese were turning that yellow translucent color which indicates cheese has been sitting out of the fridge for a long time. We will never be giving them our business again.

Food. Delicious. Price. Amazing. $ 7.95 for a medium sub WITH FRIES? Am I in the 90’s? Nope. I’m in sweet sweet Vic’s. Believe.

Nice little neighborhood gem. We’ve eaten here several times– grinders and pizza– and like both the food, prices, and service. French fries are terrific!
Most of the poor reviews refer to delivery issues. Don’t let them– and the dated building– dissuade you.

Again: ordered at 1:30, was told a half hour. Food showed up at 3:00. These are simple small lunch orders. What’s the excuse? Where’s the apology?
Order at lunch time if you’re hungry for dinner.

I used to be a huge fan of this place but will never give them my business again. I was so happy to hear they delivered to Vernon, so I ordered the Chicken Francaise, first off I had to repeat my address 3 or 4 times. I was then called twice to confirm my address and given an attitude by the girl who was asking for my address when I merely said «yes that is my address» this was just the beginning of a 90 minute ordeal. When my meal arrived I noticed I wasn’t given any rolls (I was really looking forward to the bread) I called to inquire about this and was told «if you order soup you don’t get rolls» that made absolutely no sense but whatever. After eating the chowder, I cut into my «chicken» which looked grayish and smelled strange, I was so hungry I decided to try a small bite and it tasted rancid. I immediately called them and told them the situation, they told me I had been given veal. Now I was furious because out of principle I have never eaten veal. They offered to send me chicken, after me asking how they were going to fix the situation several times, but I was so disgusted I ask that they come pick up the veal and refund my money. The manager obliged but never once came to the phone, leaving the hostess to deal with the situation. They never came to pick up my veal and the never refunded my money. I will be contacting the BBB about their antics as not only did they send me rancid food, the promised a refund that they did not provide. Clearly the place is under new ownership, I will be shocked if they keep it open a year. Shame I used to love this little hole in the wall.

Our family goes here usually once a week. More of a local spot where you get to know the staff and are very casual with them. Good sized portions and for decent price. At times it can be slow but the food was always consistently good.
By no means a 5 star restaurant but certainly a place to go grab a pizza or grinder after a long day of work

We had food delivered… it was prompt. No complaints there. We ordered Buffalo wings but received plain wings or slightly spiced but not Buffalo as advertised. They were coated like fried chicken — not my favorite. The pizza had ample ingredients but was super bland. It was the Melanzanne (sp?) with artichoke hearts, eggplant, ricotta, roasted red peppers and sausage, which sounded very promising. The sauce was on the sweet side. Nothing was spiced with salt or pepper or anything so that was kind of disappointing. The Greek salad was very good. I would go back for that but not the pizza. I would give 2 ½ stars if I could.

Ok Food. but is not my favorites. me and my men get pizza. take they like 15 – 20 min. to make. taste ok. they have good location. need to do some think they the place. we went to eat. i was surprise no one was there just only as. they do take out. the phone ring couple times. the waitress was ok. how do show up at work tire, had few hours of sleep and complaining. don“t whan to hear. come on. go somewhere else. don“t get me worg like food but could do better. have good menu.

Wouldnt put salami on a pizza. shame shame

Two words — Gyro Platter. I couldn’t tell you how the other food is because I can never pass up their delicious Greek salad (loaded with feta) and bustin’-at-the-seams gyro for under 8 bucks. I recommend the beef gyro over the chicken. The chicken is a bit bland.

As good as I remember! I’m going to guess that ownership may have changed hands a few times since I remember coming here as a child but having moved back into town after a 15-​year absence and stopping in for pies, grinders and calzones it’s as good as it’s ever been.
Clean, friendly and affordable. I won’t dwell too much on the details, Connecticut’s taste in pizza is very diverse and delicate so I won’t compare it to New Haven area pizza… but for central CT. it’s easily in the top 5
