VIP Salon and Spa

This place isn’t that great. I’ve been going here for a couple years but I’m looking for a new place. The prices are reasonable but the salon doesn’t seem very clean. If the owner does your nails, they will be perfect. But if you get anyone else, it’s a toss up. I never know how my nails will come out. They have a lot of gel colors to choose from but most of the time if you pick one, they won’t actually have it available and they tell you «next time». Also, sometimes it takes forever because they are understaffed. Yes, they give you free wine, but it’s not really worth it.

I have to say this was the first time I came to the salon. being new to the area I brought my daughter and the level of customer service was outstanding. not only did they make sure that I was completely pleased with my manicure and pedicure or they went the extra step with wax and massage. they were very thorough and I highly recommend.

I’ve tried to go other places but they never come out the same! I recently had an issue with my shellac chipping and they fixed it with out any problems. I get regular compliments on my nails and highly recommend them. Don’t make an appointment though it’s probably best to just show up.

I’m new to the area and I’m still trying to find a good place for nails and waxing but I would NEVER return here. I called for an appointment and when I got there I still had to wait like 30 or 40 minutes. The guy who did my nails had no idea what I was asking for (UV gel with false tips since my nails were so short) so he just ignored me and did standard acrylic. OK whatever, I would get over it and just not go back, BUT he made them horribly thick. They were easily the thickness of a nickel maybe thicker. They were terrible. I went back the next day to have them redone, walked up and was happy that they weren’t busy, all of the nail people I had seen the day before were sitting around chatting. I came inside and explained that I needed them fixed because they were way too thick. The lady tells me that they don’t have anyone there right now that can do nails. That all of the nail people «went to the airport» and wouldn’t be back until after 12. Seriously??? I was pissed. I came back again the next day to get them fixed and saw all of those people who were hanging around in the store the day before and somehow they all had magically learned how to do nails again. Imagine that.
I won’t be going back and I won’t be recommending them to anyone. They are bad at nails, over priced and horribly unprofessional.

Worse nail salon in Manchester. You get moved around from 1 nail tech to another. It is filthy dirty and smells to the point of disgust! When I was moved from 1 chair to the other, that nail tech started to file my nails again and when I told him the last tech had don’t that he got all defensive saying he knew how to do his job and that he’s owned 4 business’ and so on. These nail salons are a dime a dozen so perhaps they should clean the place up and give business etiquette classes to their techs.

ok so here it is–
1) made an APPOINTMENT — this is complete BS– they do not recognize appointments… what a colossal waste of my time–
2) the place if filthy– seriously– yuck
3) can not comment on the skill of technician because I left after waiting 15 minutes past my scheduled appointment time– but the filtiness of the establish seemed to nearly guarantee a super healthy fungal infection

My regular nail spot (Nails to Perfection) was closed on a Sunday and there was no wait time on the 28^th of Dec for this place. It is clean, has a room for waxing and massage, and they took me right away. I do acrylic and gel and they gave me the pre-​made nail selection to look at so I knew which color was best for me. They offered me a free coke while I waited for my nail specialist and sat me at a table right away. The guy was very polite, didn’t speak much english. I had three nails that needed repair. The primary sander they use to buff the nails is usually used with gentle pressure however he tried to thin down the acrylic already present and that irritated my 3 nails that were broken and when I indicated pain, he left them alone– put glue on what existed and anti-​fungal so he could fill in the gaps with acrylic. Despite the language barrier, he respected my pain threshhold. He did a great job filling in with acrylic with much attention to detail. I was able to use my 4g to watch hulu while I got my nails done. They had the football game on and the woman next to me was extremely vocal about the plays which was annoying however I had my headphones in so it was bearable. He took special care with shaping my nails so they looked as natural as possible. I asked for more narrow look and he obliged. He did not use alcohol to set the gel as I’ve seen previously used in other salons however it still came out fine. Not as shiny, but looks great– pic attached. He also did not trim my cuticles or offer cuticle oil so I had to specifically request these things even though the place was empty. Not sure if they were close to closing time or what, but he seemed ok with going the extra steps that I asked for. I would revisit again due to low wait time, attention to detail in shaping and polish and cleanliness of the salon. 4 stars due to lack of cuticle care and hand massage which is typical of nail salons once you’ve ended.

This place is great! It’s clean, the price is right, and I’ve always had great pedicures from any of the employes. Today I messed up one of my nails after I left and they were super nice about fixing it later in the day. They always offer you a water, soda, glass of wine etc. This is the only place I go to in Manchester!

We walked in after calling 15 min before and they were able to take us right away for a pedi and full set of acrylics. The staff were very friendly and we were offered a menu of beverages that were all free. The facility is very clean and pretty we’ll lit. Parking is tight, but we’ll defiantly be back.

I don’t like how i will deal with 2 – 4 different nail techs while there for a simple Manicure.
They do not sanitize their items. they literally took a file from my nails and used it on my friends nails.
My hand massage was rushed (about a minute per hand)
They throw their tools into plastic containers when they are done with them. and stuff them back into their drawers. I am HUGE with cleanliness. and this is Unacceptable and disgusting to me. I don’t want someones nail fungus on me.
I have gone here for months but I can’t tolerate this anymore.
I will not be returning after my past visit.

I went to them for a spa pedicure. I called at 10 and asked for a noon appointment. No problem. The spa pedicure included a sea salt exfoliation, warm towl massage, callous treatment, and finished off with paraffin. The man who did my pedicure was very good, very strong hands so I got an excellent massage. I will return and will recommend to others.

Came here based on Unilocal reviews. BEAUTIFUL P&W for $ 45. Came back today, 2 days later for a spa pedi which is AMAZING for only $ 40. After going for a few months was not impressed with service.

My nails look great. They were a lil rough and could have been friendlier. Pricing was ok.

Decided to come here for a pedicure based on the Unilocal reviews (in town for business). I almost didn’t go in because I was judging the book by its cover (the outside of the building has graffiti on it and the neighborhood is a bit sketchy). I’m so glad I stayed. A+ pedicure, she really scrubbed and exfoliated my feet and took her time working on my cuticles. Awesome!

Great find for a reasonably priced pedicure. Friendly and a job well done.

I called ahead and got an appt. 20 minutes later. The pedicure was amazing, with lots of massage and lotions. The manicure was also amazing, and included a parafin wax treatment! I loved this place and both ladies did a great job!!!

I work a job with ridiculous hours (which I love) that really hinders the amount of time I have to get my nails done.
I call VIP and ask when they close and they say, «when are you coming in?» And let us come in when we can (as close to close as possible, of course!) It’s SO nice! I’d have horrific nails if it weren’t for these ladies.
And that’s just the beginning, really. I leave there and I’m always happy with my nails. It’s just a great deal around.
