This is a charming coffee and gelato spot that serves Kaldi’s coffee(a local roaster) and naturally flavored gelato(no artificial colors). Our son loved the banana gelato. The added allure of the café is they also have an art gallery and offer group painting classes where you can bring your own wine. The artist even has an art studio in the back of the café. We will definitely be back!

Great addition to Main St! It was my third visit to St. Charles and this place is so cute! I feel like I’m sitting in my living room enjoying an espresso. I found it was a good place to come relax in the middle of a busy day, but apparently it’s BYOB and sounds fun to come in the evening and enjoy some wine! The owner is a very talented artist, and I think this place has great potential!

This just opened up in the middle of August and shows great potential as regular stop for us. They have two objectives: 1. provide a great new choice for a snack on Main street, the gelato 2. Bring some more artistic flair to the area with their gallery/class space. The gelato is very good. They have three sizes to choose from that you can populate with one or up to four different flavors. This is measured by weight, not scoops which is a fair way to do things(in my opinion). It is served in a colorful cup with the traditional shovel spoon. The flavors are from traditional — chocolate, vanilla, cherry, to the unusual, — blood orange, tiramisu. The owner said she would be getting in pistachio with the next shipment so we will try that next time to see how it stacks up with the Italian version. Their espresso machine was not working at our visit but should be soon. Prices are reasonable and there is nothing like it on Main St. as far as treats go. Kids should enjoy it. The owner is a painter and her artwork is spread around the space with paintings, cards, and pillows of her creation. They have evening classes that are BYOB(you have my attention :-)) and also individual lessons(I think). They are also available for parties and celebrations. The space itself is done in an Italian café style with nice tables and chairs and faux stucco walls. it is very inviting and a nice place to sit back and enjoy a treat while watching the world go by. With the rotation of flavors as a nice excuse for regular visits it somewhere worth visiting whenever you are on Main St. Bön Appetit!
