The Halloween Bootique is a pop up costume shop in an old Blockbuster Video. I stopped in here right before Halloween to pick up some costume accessories. The store was very large and well stocked. There were everything from kid’s costumes to adult only varieties. The prices seemed kind of high. I saw identical costumes online for less, but I understand the cost of a storefront is greater than an online only business. Besides not having to pay for shipping, having the costume in front of you means you can try it on. That alone was a big plus compared to online. One problem I encountered was that I needed to look at the costumes near the adults only section and I had my kid. I had to move quickly through the area so that I didn’t have to explain why the convict costume said«Department of Erections». The area was labeled, but I couldn’t leave my kid in a different part of the store. If shopping with kids I suggest you shop for them and then come back to finish your own shopping. I am glad that we have a store like this. Hopefully it will re-purpose itself as a holiday store like those in the city.
