I cook jambalaya for anywhere from 30 — 90 peeps about every 4 – 6 weeks and this is the place to go for the meat. I just tell Jarvas how many pounds of meat and he gets it all chopped up. When I come back the meat is all wrapped up. And the best part — they don’t charge to cut it up!

It is an OK grocery store. The prices on produce is unreasonably high and the seafood is terrible! But everything else is OK. Everything else in the store is basically pre-packaged/canned goods/boxed goods. They can’t screw that up. Walmart has better prices. Mandeville Seafood Market is the ONLY place to buy quality seafood. Winn Dixie’s seafood is so terrible, it can only pass as bait to go fishing. Maybe the alligators would enjoy it.

I’ve been going to this store since 2009 and why I haven’t reviewed it yet is beyond me! It’s not as nice as the one by I-12 on hwy 22 but it’s close. It’s just that it is a smaller store is what I can gather… Decent selection of produce. Limited though to your basic’s. They do try to jazz it up with some select items… but not enough to make you think they have that 1 small hard to find item. What really makes me come here over Rouse’s down the street is the staff. Everyone is nice. Doesn’t really seem like that forced to be nice because«The customer is always right» nice. Just good people doing a good job. I don’t know how many times they have walked me to an item or been quick and courteous with an inane question that I always seem to have. The prices are on par with the area. I hate and don’t shop at that neighborhood joke joint… but, I must say it did help bring W/D and Rouse’s here into a reasonable frame of mind.

I like the prices at WD and the employees at this location have always been polite and friendly. Good prices on meat for your weekend BBQ. The deli serves prepared food for a quick lunch and also has a salad bar. They have a decent selection of produce. I seem to always be able to find what I need for my recipes. Like most grocery stores, they get pretty packed on weekends.

Wink Dixie is not my normal grocery store, but I was returning movies next door and needed some stuff. Being that it was the day after Christmas, the store was dead. This was a good thing, because I like to shop alone. The store was very clean and the staff was great. When asked where something was, the cashier actually walked me to the item. This location has a pretty good wine, liquor and beer selection. The store also has an actual meat and seafood counter which appeared to have a good selection of fresh fish and steaks. It seems like this store has been updated, but it still feels old compared to some of the other grocery stores in the area. It was the staff that really made this a great shopping experience. From the minute I walked in, to the minute I left, I was treated very nicely by everyone I encountered. Whoever is responsible for hiring should be commended.
