Ummm. No. Just no. Kmart is so nasty. It’s like WalMart’s trashy ass little sister. I mean what the fuck is up with clearing out half of your store when you didn’t have a huge selection of shit to begin with and putting washing machines and dryers there? The crappy shopping experience begins in the parking lot for fucks sake. Like potholes ruining your tires? No? Too bad. This parking lot has tons of them. You practically need a helmet on you bounce around so much trying to park here. The shopping carts. OMG. Circa 1976. Seriously, Kmart? Every single one of them has a wobbly wheel or a wheel that doesn’t roll anymore. That’s fun to push around. If your idea of fun is to stick forks in your eyes. Do yourself a favor guys. Never go here. Never ever ever.

Just went to this Kmart after playing tennis. I am a member of USTA(tennis association) and while playing with my partner and opening a can of balls we realized one ball was bad. He said no problem just get a refund from the store. So I go back to kmart and they said it was beyond of a month from the time I bought them. So I told them how am I supposed to know the ball inside is bad until I open the can. Then they asked me for the receipt at which I was honest and said I did not keep a receipt of the cans of balls. Notice I had just come from playing tennis and had my tennis hat, white shirt, and sweating. No luck. To be honest I then just bought a another can of balls and went back for the refund with a receipt. But they realized I had just gotten the receipt. I will tell you what. I am bringing my receipt to the kmart in the southshore. I am mad and I will try not to go to this store anymore. Period. P. S. talking to the manager did not help a bit either.

By Kmart standards this one is probably too bad. But it still is Kmart. When I lived in Mandeville I visited this location a handful of times but otherwise would forget it existed. The store did always seem clean and I don’t remember ever having to stand in a long line so I’ll give an extra star for that.

Dear Kmart, You should have spent money on upgrading your stores before buying Sears. I give up on Kmart. Even some of the most basic necessities are hard to find here. Just admit it, Wal-Mart won. If I am looking for something random to shut the kids up, like a big ass bag of chips or some other snack food, I usually can find something to do the trick. But even trying to find an item that is in their sales flyer is sometimes impossible. I have to admit that the employees I have encountered here are usually pretty upbeat and helpful. Maybe management is pumping some kind of happy gas through the A/C to keep them calm and content. Sorry, Kmart… our relationship has reached an end. It’s not you, it’s me.

This Kmart is more convenient that the Covington Wal Mart if your in the Mandeville area. The store does not have anywhere close to the selection of Wal Mart, but it has most items that you would need. They do not have a full service grocery. There is a large selection of patio furniture, toys and clothing. Their electronics section is not that great. They also have a photo studio for family portraits. Their staff is friendly and the store is usually not that crowded.
