HORRIBLEOWNER. So 3 weeks ago i went to this store and picked out a beautiful dress to wear. I tried it on and the owner called the tailor. The tailor immediately started pinning the dress to alter it. I paid for the dress and was told to pick it up in 5 days. I went to pick it up but the length was still long so i waited another 2 – 3 days to alter it. This is where things get worse: When I came to pick it up, the owner said ok, its $ 150. 1. Why are you charging me to alter a dress I bought from your own store? Am I naïve or does that really happen? 2. Why am I paying $ 150 to alter a $ 200 dress? 3. Did they not think to tell me the first or second time I came for my dress? 3. Am I not entitled as a customer to know I will be charged $ 150(or any amount) for alteration? I was naturally extremely frustrated, so I’ll be honest. I told him that he is scamming me and questioned his sense of making customers and running a business. In return, he told me that a young girl like me shouldn’t speak like that. The tailor even came and told me that she’s sorry, she did not tell me that there will be a charge and lowered it to $ 80. I understand that it is a affluent neighborhood-but common courtesy should exist in every business. PLEASEDONOTGOTHEREUNLESSYOUCANAFFORDTOPAY75% ADDITIONALFORALTERATIONS.
