Though this isn’t the closest liquor store to my parents’ house, it is most certainly the best one in the area! My dad has been coming here for over 15 years, he’s a regular, they know him well. Young’s offers a great selection of international wines and liquors. It’s big so there’s a lot of diversity and SOMANYOPTIONS! The employees are always friendly and helpful, and the prices are reasonable as well. The best perk of coming to Young’s, aside from the rewards card, is every Saturday they have a wine tasting. Some weeks it’s a smaller selection of wines and vendors, others it’s much bigger and every so often they throw in some cheese and crackers to nosh on while you sip! Great neighborhood spot!

The best place for high quality wines. You get what you pay for. They know their stuff. Even if they don’t have what you’re looking for, they’ll find it.

Great wine shop in Manhasset, NY with a large selection of premium wines from around the world. I was looking for Domain Ott Rose and couldn’t find it anywhere on LI, but fortunately found it at Young’s via . This is a beautiful store that has great pricing with an extremely helpful, informative and friendly staff! Excellent overall experience, make sure to check them out… I know you’ll be impressed!

Huge selection of wine. Liquor wise, they carry a lot of top shelf stuff. For me this is actually a drawback bc I’m a bottom shelf whiskey guy. But I realize that I’m looking for the unicorn of booze which is the single malt bottle of scotch under 12 $. So that makes me a pain in the behind to please. They have a loyalty card which builds up Points you can use to get money off future purchases, and occasionally gives you special discounts. If your looking for a fast gift this is a good option, they carry something in almost every category. Everyone in manhasset knows young’s. If your into mid-high end liquor and wine young’s where you want to go. The staff is mostly young locals. You get the occasional old timer who knows what your looking for, but for the most part the guys/girls working there don’t really have a lot of answers for you. I went there looking for a good grappa once and they looked at me like I had two heads. Then they proceeded to tell me how bad grappa tastes, and I shouldn’t drink it. Turns out the had some grappa but when I brought it home I realized why these guys hate grappa so much. It was by far the worst I ever had. Little stuff like this could happen at any liquor store though. I’m just buying my grappa elsewhere from now on. But it doesn’t stop me from visiting. Heck I’m back right now ;)

Tremendous wine selection in the dedicated Wine Room — they’ve really come back to life. Their wine guy Robin is incredibly knowledgable. They also have bottles open for tastings. Really spectacular selection and super helpful in navigating the choices.

This place has fallen off drastically in the past couple of years. Their selection is now limited, with lots of empty shelf space. Every time I’ve asked staff about the lack of inventory, they’ve managed to dodge the question. There are now better, recently opened choices in the area that have a more eclectic selection, so I’ve simply stopped shopping here after 16 years as customer.

I went in as a newcomer and asked for the discount that they offer on their web site and was told, «no» by some woman with fuzzy blonde hair. I promptly gave myself a discount by taking a couple of bottles off of my order. They lost over $ 50 in revenue off of that transaction. Although the one guy who helped me pick wine seemed knowledgeable, I was quite surprised that he did not offer to help me up to the counter with 8 bottles of wine. I won’t be back. There are too many other places around to deal with the attitude here.

Extremely friendly and knowledgeable. There are wine people to help you with what you need! There’s also a whiskey guy. Wine tastings are every Saturday from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The store is gargantuan with a huge selection.

This is a very friendly well run store located in Manhasset. There is street parking or a shared parking lot available. You have pay about .50 to park in the lot.
This is the largest wine liquor store that I have seen in Nassau County. The store has two large rooms. Behind the register, they have their mini bottles of liquor. In the front left hand side of the store, they have a decent liquor/liquor selection. The also keep their chilled white wines and champagne in the front section of the store. In the back room the feature lots of wine in alphabetic order, separated by country. I typically come here for their wine. They have a large selection, at every price point. I’ve seen something as low as $ 10.(for a large bottle) and as high as $ 750.(for a litter bottle) The also have a small section of the small wine bottle,(the bottles that our about 3 glasses) There $$$ very expensive wines($ 250.+) are located in a locked case. There is also a bottle of vodka that they keep locked in a case for over $ 2,000 dollars. It is a really cool looking bottle. A very big plus about this store is their wine tastings. They have wine tasting every Saturday. The staff are the ones that run their wine tastings. They typically feature about 3 whites and 6 reds at a tasting. Sometimes, the bring an outside vendor to have a tasting for Champagne or Liquor. The staff are very opinionated and knowledge about wine. There is absolutely zero pressure to buy at the tastings. There is not judgment, if you taste all of the wines, and do not end up buying anything. The tastings are always a nice event to go to, because there is a regular crowd that come to the tastings, and everyone has a good time. Two times a year, Young’s has an extra special tastings, with more than 30 different wines and lots of snacks to go with it… I think it’s in the Spring and the Fall. If you are overwhelmed by the vast selection and need a suggestion, anyone on the wine side can do that easily for you. Again no pressure. You can be added to the store’s email list. They will not overwhelm you with bs emails. The will send you info for the weekly tasting, and anything promotional that is going on n the store. The cashiers are very friendly. If you are buying a gift for someone, they will gift wrap it for you, free of charge. Honestly, this is a win win one stop liquor wine store. The prices and selection are better than the smaller liquor stores.

I go there once a week for a bottle of wine. go to the counter… go to pay for the wine, kid points to a sign and says do you need the discount? I’m like what discount? Oh the over 65 senior citizen discount… I said honey I am only 57 and why would you ask me a question like that??? The management told the employees to ask anyone they feel is over 65 I guess to see if they want the discount… The management is asking their staff to make an judgement call to guess someone’s age. Needless to say it ruined my nite… Thanks Youngs!
