A Summer Place

I ran across this store years ago and fell in love with it! The store is filled with great little treasures that are unique to Manhattan Beach and make the perfect little gift for my girlfriends, friends, loved ones or co-​workers. Aside from being my little go to store, it was the pine armoire that I bought from them that made me fall in love. I have had it for years, it has kept its shape and survived 2 major moves. Check it out, it’s the perfect little «shop around the corner».

OK, this place gets the droopy review for their customer service. It’s a cute if somewhat pricy place full of all sorts of stuff. Artwork, starfish, frilly girly stuff and more. I saw a couple fun looking accessories and thought, fine, support the local businesses.
I don’t live near Manhattan Beach, so it was a scenic schlep for me to swing by. But a few days later, upon further inspection, I saw simple product flaws on one item. Called them, and a nice gal thought they;d just probably send me a new one — -but she had to wait for the manager. Turns out, the manager wasn’t going to send out the thing after all. That I have to return to Manhattan Beach to replace a $ 9 item. I explained how inconvenient that was, but that was their ruling. You be the judge. I think they could have done a lot better here.
