Awesome little salon in Manhattan Beach! I first discovered this place because of Ingrid Nilsen, a very popular and famous YouTube makeup/​beauty guru. She got her rockstar nails done at Chameleon and posted a photo on Instagram. As soon as I saw it, my eyes were like O_​_​_​_​O and I knew I HAD to go to Chameleon to get my nails done there!
I called a week prior to my appointment because I wanted to know if I could book an appointment that day. Unfortunately I was unable to, so I just ended up scheduling it a week later. Debbie told me she was the one who did Ingrid’s rockstar nails, so she would do mine as well!
Chameleon is in a tiny shopping center. They fortunately have a parking lot, and I was lucky enough to find a parking spot right outside! The store front itself is very tiny, and only has a desk for manicures, and two full sized chairs for manis/​pedis. Debbie, the woman I worked with, told me there were three rooms in the back where they offered other services such as massages, skin treatments, etc. I also used the bathroom and sink in the back.
My appointment was scheduled for 12pm, and I arrived probably 5 – 10 minutes early. Debbie was still working with another customer, so I probably waited about 10 – 15 minutes before she said I could go ahead and check out her glitter collection while she finished up with her customer.
I was SO overwhelmed by all of the different colors of glitter she had! I must have stared at the different combinations for several minutes before Debbie was able to come over and help me choose some colors. Eventually I went with a blue/​green ombré :)
I didn’t have any polish on my fingers to begin with, so Debbie just filed and shaped my nails, applied a base coat, and then I heated my hands while she prepared the glitter. The whole process was very long because she had to pour a layer of glitter on my nails, apply top coat, and heat… and we repeated it probably 3 times. In total I think she worked on my nails for perhaps 60 – 75 minutes.
We talked a little and got to know each other, and I really got her going when I mentioned my mom had dogs similar to her little dachshund who sat there with us in the salon! He is SO cute! We must have spent 15 minutes showing each other pictures of our dogs, LOL.
My gel rockstar manicure looks AMAZING and I absolutely love it! I normally don’t splurge on going to nail salons because I own an insane amount of nail polish already, but I think meeting with Debbie is totally worth it.
I highly recommend following her on @chameleonnailsmb on Instagram for photos of her work! She also said that if I find any pictures of manicures I like, I could bring it to her and she would be able to replicate it! So awesome! I have already been looking for what I want her to do next :)
My rockstar nails ended up costing me $ 55. I paid through card so she used a Square on her iPhone. It was pretty easy because I was able to include my tip on the app as well.
Overall, I highly recommend Debbie at Chameleon! She is so sweet and friendly and did a FANTASTIC job on my nails! I absolutely love them!

I’ve been looking for a good place to get my nails done and I finally found a place where there wasn’t a language barrier and there was a great environment. The cute little woman, Debbie, who I got my nails done by was so sweet and knew all the latest trends in nails. She was very careful and made sure everything was perfect. You could tell she really cared about her clients.
The vibe in this place was very calming and peaceful. Also, it was very clean and tidy, which is very important to me. I will definitely be coming back.

I might be the only girl who HATES PEDICURES! But I needed one for my bro’s wedding. Debbie accomodated my mom and I for a late appointment. Service here was sooooo nice, I actually kind of enjoyed the experience.
The salon is extremely clean and feels relaxing and cozy. They have Essie and OPI polishes to choose from. Debbie, the owner, did a fabulous job on my pedicure. Excellent service for a reasonable price.

If you Haven’t been into chameleon you will love the beautiful spa salon. Every detail along with the new spa chairs and hardwood floors that gives you a complete relaxing and pampered fell as soon as you walk in the door. The salon is always spotless and top of the line equipment.
I most recently have been getting a rock star gel spa pedicure and French gel manicure that lasts for weeks. I always receive compliments from co works and people when I’m out and about. Thank you Debbie for doing such an amazing and flawless job every time.

I have been going here for at least the last six (6) years and all the staff is great. Everything is CLEAN and they are willing to accomodate their clinets, coming in early or staying late.
Won’t go anywhere else in the South Bay.
To Facial G you cannot use water with Rock Star it won’t stick, do research next time or ask…

So the weirdest part is that I walked in and all three people there totally ignored me — no «Hi, we’ll be with you soon» or «Can I help you?». Nothing… So after 10 minutes (I’m not exaggerating) I finally said that I was here for an appointment. I was told Debbie would be with me in a moment. I was getting a Rock Star Glitter (which I have never had before) and she asked me to pick out the color with a casual wave to an area with polish — what I did not know was that the pedicure does not use polish…
I then got the pedicure, which (although I was sitting at a pedicure chair) did not include any water, foot massage, or anything — it was essentially a trim and color.
Now, my toes do look great, but the entire experience was a bit off-​putting.

I have been getting my pedicures and facial services here for over 5 years. They are always on time, have the greatest standards of cleanliness and there is plenty of parking. There are also lots of cute goodies to buy if you need a little retail therapy!

Yay! Minx! Debbie is now doing a fantastic job on Minx and for the very very reasonable price of $ 40.
I just so enjoy this place, small, quaint and reasonable. And Debbie is wonderful — such good energy, can-​do attitude and caring. You will love it here!

Owner Debbie is a sweetheart and the rest of the girls are very nice. They always do a good job with my nails. Plus Debbie is great at stocking the place with stuff that you can’t find anywhere else.
