Best sandwich shop in the SouthBay. The owners Laura and Billy are the best and it makes it better that it’s a local family business.

Such a great sandwich place owned by super nice owners. Ping treated me like I was her son, feeding me until I was stuffed with happiness and bacon. Would highly recommend eating here if you are looking for a great sandwich shop with a nice relax environment!

This place has solid, not spectacular sandwiches. A-OK pretty much sums it up.

They have the best sandwich in town, bar none. I love the ambiance also. They get four star because sometime the service can be slow and also parking can be ROPITB.

We got takeout for today, I’ve heard nothing but good about this place… I ordered a garden salad to accompany my Hamilton, the salad was the shredded lettuce they put on the sandwiches, they also put pickles on the salad. What??? The dressing was good but, this salad gets a D-. The sandwich would have been much better had they not drowned it in condiments and when I ask to add avocado, which you pay more for and rightly so, at least they could do is put enough on there for you to taste it. One of my peers got the chicken salad, don’t do it!!! There was more lettuce than chicken salad on the sandwich and more celery than chicken in the salad. I hope my peers never recommend this place again, this place has failed me twice.

Great staff and menu! The sandwiches are amazing, especially the veggie, which is saying something for a deli with about 15 different meats on the menu. Huge portions, fantastic breads all at reasonable prices!

Rock solid sandwiches; my favorite in the South Bay. I like the Pauly’s special or the Monster, the Pauly’s is a unique ground turkey based sub. Rinaldi’s is delish; especially the hot sandwiches.

The Italian combo was soaking wet with vinegar When I told the guy about it he just stood there and looked at me without offering a solution. I just hated it.

Greeted by friendly employee at register whom was very helpful! Had full menu on wall above register, and additional lists of popular hot/cold sandwiches on counter. It was quick and easy to glance at the popular counter menu(with antsy baby in tow) which included I would say about 6 different sandwiches on the«cold» menu. I chose the Italian.(Lettuce, tomato, provelonsalami, pepperoni, spicy Italian ham, oil, vinegar, and I got peppers on mines well) was great! The best Italian around in my opinion. Coming from a former employee of a popular South Bay Italian sandwich place specializing in «the torpedo» sandwich. I say Rinaldi’s has them beat! I look forward to returning and trying more sandwiches.

3 stars or «A-OK» describes this place fairly. I was looking for a quick bite to eat and a warning to those on a time crunch, the parking lot is small and you may find it tough to find a spot. As a happy Trohan, I ordered the USC sandwich. Sad to say, it was decent at best. The bread was mediocre(even tasted a bit stale) and the toppings were decent(although they give you a lot). While Bay Cities Deli is very far from Manhattan Beach, that’s pick for a good Italian sub in LA.

Love this place! Been here a bunch of times since we moved in a month ago. I always get the USC Trojan, I just love it! The ingredients are always so fresh.

We’ve lived here for 4 years and for some reason never tired Rinaldi’s and boy have we been missing out! I got the 6″ California Delite and my fiancé got the 10″ Godfather… both were awesome! They have a great selection of chips and we had to try their most popular cookies. which were the Chocolate Chip and a Coconut/Macadamia Nut/Chocolate Chip… both were also awesome as well. If you want a sandwich, skip the main chains and come here, you won’t be disappointed.

Very good sandwiches. Lots of quality Italian meats on a nice soft sub bun, what’s not to like? Well, other than the fact that they forgot the cheese on mine; I asked for no mayo and I guess they assumed I was some sort of health nut.

Staff is super nice, sandwiches are awesome, ingredients are fresh definitely a place to check out! Try the California Dee-light with jerk turkey but everything is good(especially the squaw bread)

The«I ASKEDFORIT» is amazing. It has… Salsalito Turkey, Pepperoni, Andouille Sausage, Habanero Mayo, lettuce, tomato, Peppercini, Habanaro Colby Jack Cheese. Spicy doesn’t quite cover it but man is it delicious! I can barely finish a 6″ bc there’s so much on it. Go Buy It

A few months back my girlfriend and I were in the neighborhood looking for a quick lunch while waiting for new tires at Globe tire. We saw this place and figured«how bad can it be?» We didn’t have a lot of time and we just wanted to eat. After all one sandwich joint is as good as another, right? Wrong! First of all, the place smelled FANTASTIC! And my sandwich may have been the best sandwich on the planet. My girlfriend disputes this. She’s convinced HERS was the best on the planet. Bottom line: two pretty terrific sandwiches. We’ve been back a bunch of times since, passing a few dozen restaurants on the way there from Redondo. It’s small, not at all fancy and sometimes parking is difficult. But it’s one of those«finds» you’ll keep going back to. Give it a try.

A couple of days ago I wanted to get a sandwich while in the neighborhood so I used my trusty Unilocal app to find Original Rinaldi’s nearby with good reviews, so decided to give it a try. Original Rinaldi’s is located in a corner of a small strip mall with hardly any parking but as I visited on a late Sunday afternoon it was not a problem. Upon entering I saw that it was a pretty small place with a counter on the right and tables on the left. The menu is huge with a large number of both hot and cold sandwiches. There were two other people in front of me who were also staring at the menu trying to figure out what they wanted so I dutifully joined them. For my first visit to any sandwich shop I generally get either a cold roast beef sandwich to-go or a hot pastrami sandwich if I plan to dine in as I believe that any sandwich shop worth its salt should get these two basics right. A quick scan of the menu showed that they had a roast beef sandwich with some fancy name that I don’t recollect but it was essentially a roast beef with lettuce and mustard so I decided to get a large of that($ 8.50). Sandwich was ready pretty quick in under 5 minutes so that was great. Upon opening the sandwich I realized that it was not very big but a decent sized 10 inch sandwich. Taste-wise it was a humungous failure. The meat was thinly sliced and then bunched up so it did not have a good bite but felt clumped together. The lettuce had just a touch of mustard so lacked sufficient punch. The worst thing was the bread. The sandwich came on a lousy soft chewy French roll. It took an otherwise mediocre sandwich and dumped it into the depths of the un-acceptable category. Any Vietnamese sandwich shop can do a decent French Roll so I’m not sure how these guys manage to mess up a simple French Roll which is like the most basic bread that you can have for a sandwich. I’m not sure if they have other options for the bread but I was surely not asked to provide any choices when ordering Price wise, it was a little on the high side for a 10 inch sandwich but that would have not mattered if it was a great sandwich. What I got here was not even acceptable. I’m fairly certain that this is not one of their top sellers but their menu is so large and complex that there was no of figuring that out. The person behind the counter was your typical order puncher so that also did not help. I feel they have to do a much better job in communicating their top sellers and providing help when ordering to improve their overall customer experience. Anyway that would be for someone else to benefit as I have no intention of returning.

Awesome sandwiches and such a great spot for quick bite for lunch, the food is carefully assembled right in front of you and it is awesome. Can’t beat the price for Boar’s Head quality products, efficient service and quantity. Rinaldi’s offer 60 or more original hot and cold sandwiches. Sandwiches are home-style sandwiches and served on freshly baked bread and loaded with meat and cheeses and variety of fresh toppings. They also have great salads and smoothies. I usually order over the phone since this place is packed during the lunch hours but calling in advance is not necessary. I only do it because I hate to wait :-) Parking can be a little challenging at times…

I’ve always enjoyed Rinaldi’s as a quick lunch fix during the week. PROS: — Good meats(Boar’s Head) — Friendly service — Very good prices for a lot of food — Consistently a good sandwich(consistently good is a good thing!) CONS: — Parking in that lot stinks… a few businesses don’t like to share space — Sometimes there can be a wait… but waiting for something good isn’t so bad — Hard to decide which sub to get, also not a «bad» thing! If you have not tried Rinaldi’s yet(either location) you should… it’s worth it! ENJOY

I have lived in the South Bay for 50+ years– and always looking for a Great Italian/Jewish Deli. I love roast beef on rye; so I drive to Jerry’s Deli in Marina Del Rey. A friend talked about Rinaldi’s Deli which is very close to me– so I tried after reviewing Unilocal. WOW! The Boar’s Head medium rare roast beef is tender, not salty with a chemical aftertaste, abundant in the Ralphie’s Roast Beef sandwich on rye, and the service was exceptional. I will be returning many times; and I hope they have a multiple discount card!
