Yes, this place is pricy, but everything is fresh and tasty and the have a great system for keeping the lines moving. I have ordered catering for pick up, for a baby shower, and everything was packaged for travel and tasted great. I love this place! My favorite sandwich is the Lox and bagel.

I love their healthy veggie bagel option. Their tuna sandwhich is also great! I love a good neighborhood bagel shop that is not a boring chain.

It s unfortunate that this place is not fantastic. The location is great(on Sepulveda) with good parking. The décor is cute and the service was fast. I noticed the trash was overflowing at all of the receptacles. Several of the tables had not been wiped down and there was trash on the floor. I had the roast beef and havarti sandwich. It was terrible. The roast beef tasted odd. There was cole slaw on the side that was not edible. The bread itself was not bad. The restroom had toilet paper everywhere and was out of paper towels. I happened to walk by the prep line and that’s when I made the decision to never return. The prep line looked like it had also not been wiped down in a very long time. Based on a lack of cleanliness and poor quality of the food, I won’t return.

From the minute I walked in and the garbage can was overflowing with garbage, I should have trusted my instincts and walked right back out… The place looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in a week, food and garbage all over the floors, the bathrooms are DISGUSTING! Then we get to the food, the sandwiches had very little flavor, I had the southwestern chicken breast sandwich on ciabatta. It was all bread and lettuce, very little meat and was overwhelmed by the cilantro dressing. My wife had a roast beef and havarti sandwich that was also all bread and lettuce, very little of the low quality meat, and not much cheese. Flavors were just all around lacking and the lack of any cleaning made for a horrible visit. Parking is also a bit of a nightmare. I would not recommend going here.

Truly average in every way. If you have time then go a little further in your car and find something a little better.

Great food, but generally JUST a bit out of the price range I’d expect. Like $ 20 range for two sandwiches. Their salads are, in my opinion, pretty weakly seasoned. The pasta salad had almost no flavor(though, on last two visits they seemed to be experimenting with more seasoning). The egg salad is also very light on flavor. The sandwiches are amazing, but will soak through quickly so eat them ASAP. The big draw is that it’s a bakery, so the breads are always FRESH and fluffy and crisp on the edges. Get a loaf of black-pepper parmesan, or try it on your sandwich and you’ll be in love. Bagels are definitely good, but not the best in the local area, by any means. Their SPREADS, however, are the best, by far. The veggie spread… oh man… The iced coffee and tea might need a bit of a pick-up in the flavor department, as well.

Tasty food. Long lines. Overpriced. $ 1 for butter on a bagel. Really? Our family of 5 just spent $ 5 on butter? Is the store owned by an airline? We’ll update the review when the gouging ends.

Finding out the rude woman who works the counter/register is the General Manager made my jaw drop to the floor… I can’t believe how rude she is. She doesn’t look at you, acknowledge you, no thank you or have a nice day, snatched my credit card, walks away to speak to employees in the middle of taking your order… Listen if you are stressed put one of the 10 people working on the register and manage the back of the business. Note: She has«assisted» me many times and every time is the same. Being rude and ungrateful to your customers will ultimately take you out of business. Won’t be back.

Ordered something to go. Got home and it wasn’t made correctly even though the receipt clearly states what I ordered. It’s takes a long time and it’s not correct even on to go orders. Gluten free bars are amazing!

Nice coffees, fun atmosphere! Great lattes. Bagels are just fine, that’s all we had. Good location. Nothing exceptional, but a unique place.

Inedible shoe leather bagels. Wasted $ 9 for a «sandwich» Counter guy thought it was hilarious when I complained. I recommend any other place for lunch

The bagels here are admittedly not the best, but also not the worst. If you’re not a bagel snob, or from New York or something, the bagels here should be fine. The reason for this review is mostly that pasta salad that comes with any order of a lunch bagel sandwich. Why include a pasta salad if it is completely tasteless and bland? I’ve had this pasta salad numerous times and it is consistently bland(think cooked pasta with maybe just a tiny dash of salt) and underseasoned. WHY! Such an easy fix, and yet… A two-star rating is admittedly harsh for that terrible side pasta salad. But it’s just so bewildering! Something that can so easily be made at least decent! There really aren’t very many bagel options in and around Manhattan Beach. Personally, I prefer Noah’s over Manhattan Bread & Bagel.

Not far from the hotel we were staying at in Manhattan Beach, we decided to let our appetite for brunch bagels take us to Manhattan Bread and Bagel. Lines were pretty long to order, but not a long wait to pick up at all. We both decided that we wanted the smoked salmon bagel with onions, capers, etc. It’s one of our favorite things to have on a weekend for breakfast. He went with an everything bagel and I decided on the jalapeño cheese, both were delicious. We sat outside on the sunny patio and enjoyed our breakfast, getting ready for a fun day in Southern California.

I stopped in here for the first time over my usual bagel shop one morning. The store is really nice and clean. Lots of seating and a nice outdoor area. They had everything well stocked — bagels, salads, pastries, etc… I got a bialy bagel with cream cheese for $ 2.90. The bagel was huge but the cream cheese was pretty bland and runny. I would try this place again on my commute to work.

Second time I’ve been here would not come back. I consider myself a connoisseur of bagels and bread– their bagels are just not up to par… Today I tried the chicken salad sandwich which was so plain I had to douse it with mustard and pepper just to add some flavor. I was looking for the chicken salad in my sandwich where is it? It’s like they just put a spoonful of chicken salad I almost want to take it back and say hey I didn’t order a bread sandwich with a taste of chicken… Where’s the chicken?! Pasta salad very bland Honestly I don’t know why this place gets the stars that it does. :/I wasted my money here People obviously come here because it’s convenient I can’t imagine any other reason I will not be back. I wish I could get my money back this food was not good

White chocolate apricot scone! I always try to catch them when they have these, which isn’t all the time. They’re soft and aren’t dry at all. I love meat, but their California Veggie sandwich is the one I always order. The cilantro spread on it is super tasty and they sell little tubs of that spread by itself too. Comes with side pasta salad, sometimes is other veggie salad with no pasta. You can also text in your order!

Why have I been going to Starbucks all this time when I could have been coming to Manhattan Bread and Bagel instead? They have plenty of tables, outlets and free Wifi so you can work from here while stuffing your face. I was introduced to this place by a local friend and she described the iced coffee here as «liquid crack». Since they have free refills, happy caffeinated customers are created. I ordered a garden bagel with lox cream cheese and a hot coffee and was full enough to give lunch a pass. Really delightful to eat, crunch exterior with cream cheese thickly slathered on. Even though it’s on a large street, the parking lot in front creates a buffer of peace. Though that’s destroyed by parents letting their kids run around and treat the whole establishment like a playground which is not okay. No fault of Manhattan Bread and Bagel, but more of a comment on the type of clientele that visit.

We went in on Saturday morning for bagel cravings. As expected, even though they have a parking lot, it was pretty full. We had enough luck to find a space and walked into the store. Inside of the store also had some line to get baked goods. As we were waiting on line, we were able to look at a shelf with various cream cheese to see which one we wanted to get with bagels. I liked the fact that their cream cheese was pasteurized which some places’ cream cheese are not surprisingly. Our turn came and we ordered 4 bagels to take them home. I wasn’t sure if they just do not toast bagels at all or they assumed we are taking them home. I prefer my bagels toasted and we could have eaten at the store. However, as we weren’t asked and we didn’t want to hold up the line, we ended up bringing them home. We ordered 1 wheat works, 1 wheat poppy seed, 1 chocolate chip and 1 blueberry along with chive cream cheese. Blueberry bagel was my favorite maybe because it was still warm when we got home, so it tasted the most freshest. Other bagels were good too but works and poppy seed bagels got really messy. I am aware that they tend to be messier, but I felt like a lot of toppings just came right off when I tried to slice them in half. I definitely liked here more than noah’s bagel and I would go back for more bagels for future cravings. Foods: 3.5 stars Service: 3 stars Atmosphere: 3 stars Overall Experience: 3 stars

First off, it really smells in here. So much that we wanted to walk out again. Everything was pretty picked over, most shelves empty when we went early afternoon and service non existent. The only thing that looked good were the seeded bagels, so we got a half dozen. A bit pricey at $ 1.30 each, also not as tasty as they look, the seeds were the highlight, dough old and stale. Not worth coming back.
