I shopped high and low for 6 weeks before I decided on Smart Grass. Their quality product is top notch (I chose the 90oz density) and made in the USA with no toxics. This was important as we have infants twins. Lisa was so nice she even dropped off the samples at my house. The crew that did the install couldn’t have been better. They were in and out and did an amazing job. You can tell they take great pride in their work. Best of all we got a great price, where as some quoted us up to 50% more. I would definitely recommend them.

Trustworthy and very professional. Vince does exactly what he says he will do. I don’t have a single complaint. Reasonably priced withexcellent quality & service. I highly recommend SmartGrass. Can’t say enough good things about Vince.

Well, we just finished our backyard with SmartGrass and I couldn’t be happier! Vincent and his crew were so diligent, efficient, and punctual! They came in hauled out all of the dirt and dead grass and were so careful to keep the rest of the backyard and front of the house clean in the process. The first day they came and left, you would not have known there were about 100 hundred barrels of dirt carried from the back to the front of the house, our backyard was spotless! They hosed down the front and back of the house, careful to not even leave one footprint!
The icing on the cake was the finished product. Our backyard looks like it came straight out of a magazine. Beautifully set and finished. We all keep looking at it in amazement! I would recommend them to anyone looking to put faux grass. We have a fairly large backyard and wanted to make sure we used a reliable company that would do the job right the first time around. Vincent and SmartGrass were truly amazing, hands down. Their prices were competitive which was an added bonus. Great group of guys and excellent work. They really take pride in their work and it shows in the finished product!

Just had my new synthetic lawn installed and it looks and feels incredible! No more water, no more brown patches. My rep, Vince was professional, timely and accurate with his estimate/​cost. The work was done on schedule and the crew cleaned the area thoroughly after installation. SmartGrass also has great pricing, sample selection and warranty on both labor and product. I am the envy of my street!

They took me name and number down and told me they would call me in a couple days… So setup the appt. As a property manager and someone who deals with 100’s of vendors annually and manages ofer 750 units, I would say that this response was a first. Even my carpet guys who have 100’s of clients know that I need a response, today.
Hopefully they can do my house, within a reasonable budget and without much delay. I will edit my review when we meet in person and go over everything. Until then this will remain anonymous and at 3 stars.

Company website should be a little more forthcoming. 6 week turn around time, 3 day lead time, 1000 Sq foot minimum or they will not take on the project. List this information on your website and save your time and mine.

Let me begin by saying that im 100% happy with the work done by SmartGrass.
I must have gotten about 6 estimates and SmartGrass clearly had the best price. Dont waste your time shopping around, just give them a call.
Vince came out twice to measure and consult and worked with me as I was doing other projects in paralell. He was on time both times. We agreed on a date and actually started ahead of schedule, I was very pleased.
I have pets and went with a heavier product. It looks and feels great. They also laid the paver stones perfectly even and strait. Cleanup was good too. Very professional. At one point I was considering doing it myself but after seeing the process and finished product its work better left to the pros.
Invoicing, payment, and follow up was as smooth as can be.

I wanted to wait a couple of months before I wrote my review because how a product like this holds up is a large part of its value.
We did a A LOT of research before we chose Smart Grass of CA to replace our 3400 sq ft of lawn. We looked at lawns all over Orange and Los Angeles counties and the lawns from Smart Grass showed a clear quality advantage over others we looked at. This was important to us because of the size of the lawn we were replacing and its location in the front of our home and at the front of our community. In effect, we were going to be the test case for our Homeowners Association, so we had to be sure that the completed project was top notch.
Bottom line — Smart Grass exceeded our expectations!!! We would highly recommend this company. They completed the entire project in three days. They came in with a large crew, cleaned up extremely well and left us proud of our new synthetic turf lawn — no more fighting the drought or the moles or voles or grubs. Thank you Smart Grass.

I now understand why there are so many 5 star reviews for Smartgrass! They just installed a play area in my backyard that came out awesome. First of all, the product is a great — safe, realistic, good for water conservation. The service is second to none. Craig was very helpful over the phone. He took time to answer every question I had and was very accommodating when it came to scheduling. Vince came out to take a look at the yard and also for the install. Vince is a true pro and took the time to explain the process and answer all questions. Craig, Vince & crew are rockstars who go the extra mile. My wife & I are thrilled with the work they did & will call them again to add to our new yard!

I purchased Smartgrass for my rental units. I’ll be honest, it was 1 month for Vince to come out to start the job. It’s due to them being so busy. I am very happy that I waited though, just look at photos. They did a top notch job and these guys work hard. They were able to finish my 875 front yard in 1 day. To add icing on the cake, their pricing is the best around (Pro tip– I already called all the artificial grass places around the long beach area– they either were to much $$$ or hard crap reviews). I want to thank Craig and Vince for the awesome job and for their upmost professionalism during my transaction. You bet your ass that I will using smart grass on all of my future unit purchases.

SO HAPPY! Vince came out and did the estimate within 2 weeks. AND… HE was here for the install. Great customer service. He also walked around with me at the end of the project to advise me about the pictures and things to do to help me get my water rebate through the State.
LOVE the result. HUGE difference! We removed about 1,300 sq. feet of grass, installed artificial turf and a putting green.

Awesome investment! I called Craig to price out grass installation in the front yard of my townhome. I tried real grass, but because the area is so shady, the grass dies within weeks :(
Craig gave me a fair quote and scheduled the installation for the following week! Other companies quoted me a couple weeks out. I called around for price comps and found him to be in line with his competitors. The crew that came to install my grass were so efficient and quick. In about 2 hours, my dirt lot transformed into a beautiful garden of grass. The grass is high quality and comes with a 10 year warranty. I wish I did this sooner!
Also, I had some concerns about the materials used and toxicity, since my children and dog would use the area to play and Craig called me back immediately to alleviate my concerns, explain the materials and process and patiently answer all of my questions! A+ business.

This review is for customer service only, since I have not purchased their product. I called Craig about putting artificial lawn on my large balcony to turn it into a play space for my baby. He was very friendly and informative.
They are out of the budget range I want to spend on this project, but Craig looked at an alternative for me. I appreciate that he went out of his way to lend a hand when he wasn’t gaining my business. He also told me to call him with any questions I might have. I took him up on it, and he explained something I was confused about. This business deserves a 5 star review when it is this helpful to non-​costumers.

Some companies provide a service or product and are gone after they have been paid, never to be seen again. Not SmartGrass, Vince has been excellent even after the grass was installed.
I reached out to him because the sewer line clean out in the yard was covered and I wanted to find out how to cut the turf (and with what) correctly. Instead of walking me through it or referring me to instructions, he brought his crew back to my house, cut it for me and cleaned up the area around it. No questions, no extra charges, just that same epic customer service I experienced the first time. Not only that, but he checked the yard to make sure everything was in order and even had his team clear the rest of the yard of leaves and other debris.
These folks are great, no question. Still highly recommended. And more than fours months in, we are still very pleased with our yard…

Vince came out and gave us a good quote choosing from 3 or 4 samples. The guys came and installed in two days. Turf looks awesome.
