Best Greek salad ever, the chicken has a delicious nutmeg flavor and the dressing is nice and light. I love the Greek fries, they have feta cheese, onions and tomatoes. I love this place.

We decided to try this place for lunch. I’m a big fan of Mediterranean food. Unfortunately this place was a huge disappointment. They only had one staff member working and the wait for the food was over 30 minutes. My husband ordered the chicken kabob and I ordered the Greek salad. The chicken was dry and over done and the dressing for the Greek salad was oil. Flavorless, spice less oil. We will not be returning.

I don’t know what it is about this place that keeps me coming back… I’m just kidding, it’s the great service, healthy options and great tasting food. I love hummus any way that I can get it and this stuff is by the far the most authentic that I’ve tasted in a while. I always get the chicken kabob plate with the Greek salad… you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu but this is by far my favorite. I will most definitely be back!

I underestimated the portion size at this place; it’s quite a lot of food for the money. The falafel platter I got included some hummus and salad, as well as bread. The falafel itself was a bit dry, but the titular hummus was quite smooth and the tang of lemon juice shone through. What I unwisely did was add greek fries on the side, finding that they were for one, not that impressive, as the feta and other ingredients say awkwardly on the top(rather than being thoroughly blended in as in really good Greek places), and made for way too much food. If I came back(which, as someone who only flew through L.A., I almost certainly will not), I’d consider ordering meze-style, as you can get individual dishes for cheap and not end up with excess food. In any case, I’ll be forever grateful to the Hummus Factory, since when I could not eat all that, I dipped the leftover hummus in bread and took it with me on the plane, allowing me to skip out on having to eat airline food.

I love Mediterranean food, I was really happy to stumble across Hummus Factory for a quick lunch. Smells so good inside, everything is cooked to order. I had the Chicken Kabob Wrap, the chicken was tender and full of Mediterranean flavors, the spicy sauce wasn’t too spicy but has the right amount of kick. Really nice staff and service.

I first gave this a try after reading an article that said eating Mediterranean food protects the brain from ageing(not sure if it’s true: P). Surprisingly the taste was good(cos normally healthy food doesn’t taste great ;). I have tried Chicken plate, roll and bowl and they all are almost same combo with varying quantities of rice and veggies. The only –ve at this place is that you may have to stand in a queue to place order if you go around 1pm. Otherwise it is a good place to get your lunch

Great place for some quick and delicious food. I usually get the lula plate and I’m never disappointed! Their salads are great too!

I had dinner at The Hummus Factory last night and it was delicious! Stumbled upon it when going to Yogurtland next door, so decided to try it out. Juan Carlos took our order & prepared our food. We ordered the Combination Appetizer to split for 2(mom & me) & it was surprisingly very filling & satisfying. It came out quickly & was very fresh & flavorful! While eating, mom accidentally dropped a falafel ball off her fork, and Juan Carlos was quick to offer and prepare a replacement. He was so friendly & generous and he ended up serving us 2 more falafel balls. Hummus, Tabouli, Baba Ghanoush, Tzaziki, & Tahini were all delicious! I will definitely be returning– I’m actually craving Mediterranean food for dinner!

I would give the chicken kebab 5 stars… love it, great hummus, great garlic sauce… the beef I would give three stars… not great, very tough meat. wouldn’t recommend it… the service feels like fast food service so I would advise takeout… you will walk away disappointed if you eat in. All of that being said, because of the chicken kebab, this is one of my favorite South Bay takeout spots. Especially with Bristol farms next door to grab a nice wine and some desert to bring home.

First time eating at the Manhattan Beach Hummus Factory but I’ve been to the El Segundo location multiple times. For me this one is a 3.5 stars, El Segundo location is a solid 4.0 stars. This place is very crowded(I suppose that’s a positive testament). To put in your order, you’re lined up in a narrow corridor right next to the kitchen so you can feel the intense heat from the grills. After you pay, you fill up your soda and you have to fight your way back through line to get out. Fortunately there is ample outdoor seating and it wasn’t too hot outside. The food came out within 5 – 10 minutes of ordering. I ordered my usual beef kabob plate and my friend got the chicken kabob plate. We sampled each other’s food. Both were tender although the chicken was slightly dry. Both beef and chicken were well seasoned and flavorful but it just didn’t live up to my expectations after having the El Segundo location. Visually, my chunks of filet mignon looked sort of deflated, like they were partial pieces. They were not as juicy and fresh tasting as I previously had. Don’t get me wrong, these are solid plates that comes with rice, salad, hummus and pita bread. But for a $ 14 lunch(incl. tax), it’s not quite 4.0 stars ONLY because I know you can get the exact same food but BETTER just 10 minutes away. One more thing — these annoying pigeons kept harassing the customers eating outside. I suspect it’s only a matter of time before someone gets complimentary Tzatziki sauce on their plate.

I paid about $ 13 for the chicken kaboob plate and I’d say it was worth it! I had mine to go. Nice, big helping of rice, a tiny salad, 6 chicken kaboob pieces, some garlic sauce, a medium helping of hummus and 6 pita pieces. The chicken kaboob was hot and fresh. It was the perfect dinner. Had enough left over for lunch the next day too: D There is seating inside the restaurant, but there is also a nice outside patio area to sit in as well. Parking is easy, plentiful and free.

This is my favorite type of food, although it is delicious and well prepare. It’s not waitress served; for the prices I’m thinking they should go a little lower. It’s worth stopping by if you want tasteful plate though. The place is nice and you can dine outside if the weather is nice. I picked the half chicken garlic and half gyro plate. Omg the chicken was so good and gyro was very soft and tender.

I went here on a Sunday afternoon and got the gyros wrap with a side salad. The place is tiny and clean but it did take a while for the food to come out(15 – 20 minutes). The salad was fresh but the dressing is very sour which was fine with me because I love vinegar. My wrap was pretty tasty and full of meat, tomatoes and lettuce. My only complaint was that it was wrapped in paper instead of foil. It was lukewarm at best. Service was friendly. A decent place to grab mediterranean fast-food.

UGH!!! Nothing like fighting about where to eat and your dining partners food turns out better than yours when he didn’t even want this kind of food to begin with!!! really o_O So The PIC and I were on our way to spend a full day in Manhattan beach, so we could go to The Marvel universe show at The Forum. Before we checked into the Marriot, we needed a Scooby snack something fierce!!! He wanted a really good sandwich but every spot was closing in the next hour and I don’t like rushing to eat! I recall seeing this place before and I asked him if that was ok and he said sure. So we go into the clusterfrack of a parking lot and walk over. I hate having to walk in between all this outdoor seating to get into this place. We walk in and the ordering area is narrow as «F.» I would hate to be in «line» during a lunch rush. I looked at the menu picked out what I wanted and rushed over to sit at one of the two tops against the wall by the door. So we started with the Greek hummus. I wanted the Middle eastern hummus but he didn’t trust hummus with ground beef in it LOL. Their hummus is VERY good!!! The greek hummus is topped with feta cheese and olives. It was quite addicting. So I give that a solid 4. I figured this was a great start! Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnt no(Insert Fresh prince voice.) So I ordered the Lula wrap. I love kufta meat. I originally wanted the lula plate but I thought that would be to heavy. I bet if I ordered the plate, I would have given a better rating. The meat itself was good. I didn’t have a strong noticeable taste of kufta but the consistency was there. There was a culprit that made this wrap one of THEE worse wraps I EVERHAD!!! It was a HUGE amount of parsley. I’m not talking about some sprinkle of parsley, this was full blown stems and all and this parsley tasted dry like the desert where it was stabbing my mouth. I was in such a bitchy mood, I didn’t feel like saying anything. The PIC ordered the Gyro wrap that came with lettuce, tomato, onion & tzatziki sauce. I tasted his wrap and it only made my anger for the shitty wrap I had grow worse GRRRRR. His wrap was so damn good! He said I’ll trade you, as if we’re in 3rd grade trading lunches. I told no it’s ok. I just picked at my wrap and used the pita to dip it into that crack hummus. Oh and we also ordered fries. Those were pretty tasty. I’d get the feta fries instead but there won’t be a next time for a looooooooooooooong ass time LOL. I rarely have a bad meal and when I do, it sticks with me FOREVER! Til the day die, CAPICE! I don’t think I will be back unless I’m craving some hummus: p

Stopped in here for lunch with a coworker who enjoys this place week in and week out so wanted to find out myself what this place was all about. I went with the gyro plate that included a salad, rice, hummus and pita bread. I substituted the rice for the tabouleh. The meat was flavorful, but not that hot. It had been taken off the spit for some time and was tossed on my plate. The hummus had a very creamy texture, almost tasted like some cream had been added to the hummus, very different. The salad was basic romaine with a tangy lemon and olive oil dressing. The tabouleh was very light in flavor and the parsley was chopped to a coarser grind rather than a finer. The flavor was on the blind side and lacked flavor. Overall, I thought the food was just ok. I want to come back and try their falafel sometime down the road.

A gyro that is about 6 inches long and a side of oily salad for $ 8.99. It certainly was not worth the amount I paid for. I went on a Saturday afternoon, there was no lunch rush and i I got my food pretty quick. However, the quality was not great or even good. The meat was pretty bland and salty. They put a lot of meat on it, but you can tell the meat has been sitting out for a long time. I guess they try to make up for it by stuffing the gyro was lots of slices. Then they put a little, and when I mean little I mean a few pieces of salad and onions inside. Finally, they topped it off with the tzatiki sauce. The tzatiki sauce was lacking any kind of flavor or maybe it was because they hardly put any. Meh, this place was so underwhelming. My friend got chicken kabobs from here one time and I thought it was pretty good. Guess I made the mistake of trying something else.

Hummus ‘Factory’ indeed. That is exactly the word I would use. Well, that… and…crap. I cant imagine why one would want to pay $ 6 for a side of Hummus, nor wait 20 min for chicken that is somehow, both overcooked and room temperature. How do they do that, anyway? Came here for lunch and when taking a look at what was cooking — saw a choice of Gyro(the pressed, preformed crap, not the layers of meat stacked upon themselves version) or these flaming chicken kebabs on a grill. Thinking thats what I would get should I order it — I ordered the flaming chicken. Nope. Thats not what I got. Far from it. Nearly 20 min later, I was served overcooked, dry, room temperature chicken from an aluminum foil covered serving tray. Great idea. Whatever you do — don’t give your customers fresh, flame cooked chicken. Why would you do that? Stick it in a serving bowl covered in foil, let that crispiness go away, let the meat overcook and dry out while also turning barely warm over time. Speaking of time… if you are just grabbing room temperature chunks of chicken and wrapping them, like Subway would — what took 20 min of waiting? Personally, I think it is because Yogurtland staff, friends of the staff and others can just walk in, go right to the front of the line, utter ‘Pollo Plate’ and get a plate of food for what appeared to be merely tips and a nod. Lunch? I think the manager might be making his ‘cash only’ side business the priority. Move on. Its not worth the money, wait or irritation.

Disappoint me once… its an anomaly. Disappoint me a second time… its a trend. Disappoint me a third time, you will not… Take heed folks… if you’re stopping in at the lunch rush of 11am-2pm at this location, please go one door to your right and get good pizza and tasty salad at Union Pizza. Or go two doors to your left and get a protein bowl at Samurai Sam’s. Either way you are saving yourself some serious disappointment. Three months ago at the direction of a co-worker I dealt with the disappointment of a dine-in lunch at Hummus Factory. Bland pita, bland salad… but I didn’t get a kabob or a plate… so I chalked it up to getting a boring menu item. Fast-forward to today’s lunch. Got in line, Unilocal check in at 11:51am, checked my watch and it said 11:54am just after ordering, 1 chicken kabob wrap with side salad, and 1 app side of hummus, no drink total $ 15.26 with tax… wow…sticker shock on take out lunch… stress on TAKEOUT. Line wasn’t terrible, didn’t seem to be too many to go orders standing around. There was an audible buzz from the 7 – 8 busy workers behind the counter and along the line. A few dine-in orders getting filled here and there, but I had to walk over to the register and inquire about my to go order at 12:10p…“you’re coming up” said the register girl. At 12:23p, I moved myself stealthily towards the register again, and was intercepted by the runner, who took my to go receipt and vanished… after tracking him down… finally go my to go bag of food at 12:29p. It was such a joke that I got a round of applause from the 4 – 5 other to go people waiting… too bad for them but I had to get back to work. Now onto the FOOD. The kabob… mostly cold… gummy chicken without much flavor… way too much olive oil reduced the wrap concept to a dripping, sloppy mess, devoid of texture and a solid pita. It was just lettuce and PICKLES! seriously… pickles…with oil and some kind of bland tahini sauce, with bland chicken and it was a mess… this was by far and away the worst kabob wrap I have ever attempted to eat, and after picking around it for a few minutes and my stomach crying an «I’m so sad» cry I turned my attention to the side salad… Then I threw the side salad away after one bite… it was slathered in oil. I could wring the pita and salad out and power a biodiesel car for a cross-country road trip… good god. Finally I had my $ 5 side of hummus… plain…bland…pre-packed…room temp hummus… YUCK. So here I sit… at my desk… somewhat hungry… angry I spent over 40 minutes on take out and $ 15…with little to show for it than this review… it wasn’t worth taking pix… it wasn’t worth standing around(even in the nice weather). This was a waste… lesson learned… they should shutter the Hummus Factory… because it is churning out toxic waste for lunch. Boooo on you!

Not impressed whatsoever. The food lacks real Mediterranean flavor. There are absolutely not pungent flavors. The prices are decent for the cut of meat, however there is definitely nothing to rave about. My two star review is for the friendly staff and the cut of filet mignon. Words of wisdom: watch out because the pita is stale.
