I recently went in for a spray tan by Sonia and it was amazing! It was my first time ever getting a spray tan and I was a bit hesitant thinking it would turn out blotchy, uneven and orange!!. Sonia quickly proved me wrong. My tan was amazing! I got the sun kissed single and it was the perfect glow. Her prices are great and she’s very professional but sweet and friendly. I will definitely be coming back and buying the bundle deal.

Kystyna was absolutely amazing! She really understands hair and gives the best recommendations as to what haircut would be best for you. She also styled my hair at the end perfectly and, for the first time ever, it lasted the whole entire day! Everyone was complimenting me on my hair! If you want a hairdresser who really cares about her customers and will give you the best hair, Krystyna is the one for you!

Hands down best color and styling job EVER!!! Ask for Craig Wickman! I received so many compliments after he did my color and style… Craig is highly attentive, and has a special eye and talent. He will recommend things you would not generally think of, but you will be simply amazed by results of his suggestions.
Finding the right stylist is so difficult, I have been searching for 3 years since I moved to SoCal. It is as serious as finding a good doctor:) I am beyond pleased and cannot wait to see him again!
In a nutshell, there are many good stylists out there, but only certain people have that special talent that will blow you away, and make you look the best you can! Craig is my guy:)

I have the mermaid hair I want thanks to Krystyna. She is incredible. She knows exactly what I want when I’m describing a vision to her and really takes the time to listen and make sure we are on the exact same page. For extensions, color, cut, style, she is THE BEST. She makes me laugh during the process which is so much fun, especially during something as close to your heart and well being as your hair. It’s an experience so full of trust, and I really really appreciate that about Krystyna. She really is the best at her craft, and I trust her with all of my heart to play with my hair.

Lauren was super sweet and gave me an amazing colour! I was nervous being a first timer to the salon but she put me at ease instantly and did a beautiful job with my colour. Will definitely be coming back to her!

Krystyna has made my hair fabulous for over 3 years in both San Diego and LA after she moved. I love to change my hair and whether it’s extensions, a cut, or going red, brown, or blonde, I am ALWAYS thrilled with her work!

Lauren colored my hair months ago. She gave me a custom color which was exactly what I wanted and also cut my hair for me for what she thought would like nice and what I would like. She did an excellent job on what I wanted for my hair and I would highly recommend her.

I moved to LA a few months ago and had no idea where to turn for a hair fix. I tried a few other salons in the area but felt like Loft Salon far surpassed the others. The Salon is impeccably clean and everyone was very friendly.
Kayla took care of me and gave me such a positive experience. I had bought the Groupon for hair cut and base. I ended up doing a full color change and they were flexible enough to work with my groupon and charge me a small difference AND a complimentary deep conditioning treatment. The girls in the salon were all well versed in their knowledge of beauty/​hair/​etc. Kayla was stellar and had me in and out in 90 minutes with a HUGE smile on my face. Thanks girl!

Highly recommend Lauren! I’ve gone to her three or four times for color and she more than exceeds my expectations every time! I’m brunette and she has nailed a beautiful soft balyage with gorgeous caramel highlights on me. I get compliments on it all the time. She is very sweet and time in her chair is always relaxing and enjoyable.
Love the salon also — it’s a warm cozy environment in area where you would expect attitude and pretentiousness. My only complaint (not Lauren or The Loft’s fault) is MB’s horrendous parking situation! Who can get their hair done in under two hours?! Luckily someone will run to your car and fill your meter for you! I wish they had daytime valet services — I’d pay for that in a heartbeat!

The hype is real… KAYLA IS THE BOMB. Seriously, do yourself a favor and go let Kayla work her magic on you! It had been nearly 6 years since I had visited a salon so I was super apprehensive and picky about anyone touching my hair. After reading other glowing reviews about her, I decided to book an appointment. Kayla took the time to listen to my wants, lent her recommendations, and my hair came out exactly how I envisioned. Not only is she extremely talented at her, but her hospitality skills are through the roof; warm, personable, welcoming… Such a doll! The salon is adorable and impeccably clean too. The receptionist was super sweet and accommodating and even went to out and added to my parking meter for me! As an added bonus, relax on their rooftop deck with a glass of wine while your hair processes! *sigh* Can’t wait go back a get pampered by Kayla again asap!

Thank you Unilocal & Groupon for showing me my now go-​to salon in the south bay! I was in desperate need of a hair cut and with the holidays rolling around that became more of a MUST DO on my list. I 1^st searched through Unilocal and stumbled upon this salon and lo and behold a Groupon had popped up at the exact same time for an amazing deal ($ 69 for color, cut, and style) — It was meant to be.
Bought my Groupon and set up an appointment with KAYLA after some of the below reviews. I let them know I had a Groupon and the receptionist informed me about the deal making sure to let me know that my stylist would give me a consultation first in case of any additional fees for color, length, etc. They called 24 hours in advance to remind me of my appointment — great service.
PARKING: During the holidays it’s free for 2 hours but in case they do go over 2 hours the gals are happy to check on your car to make sure it’s not chalked and even add quarters in the meter if it does expire (AMAZING!)
Kayla is a serious miracle worker. I told her what I had in mind, showed her some pictures, and let her do her thing. She gave an honest consultation, not chump-​changing me for anything and was being true to her ideals. Since I was looking for more of a balayage instead of full color we worked it out and she even gave me a slight discount (THANK YOU). She made sure that she was working within my budget and was true to her quote. They offered free beverages while you wait, making sure you were not feeling like you were spending hours being bored. Very attentive and always checked in with me to be sure I was okay throughout the entire process — especially since I was a bit nervous cutting inches off of my hair. BTW Lauren, who works right next to her, also does some amazing work! These two are two peas in a pod. Could not have had a better time there without those two =) Sweetest, funniest, and truly real gals!
2.5−3 hours later and Kayla used her magic to turn my hair into something amazing! (SEE PICS UPLOADED). From a long mane of damaged hair to a soft fresh lob with a perfectly natural balayage! Could not be more ecstatic of the change. Thank you Kayla for being you, making me feel comfortable, and doing an amazing job!

I discovered The Loft by the power of groupon. I’ve never had my hair dyed at a salon before (yes, I was being frugal and either did it myself or had a friend do it). After reading great reviews through Unilocal I decided to call and the receptionist was very helpful but said she couldn’t quote me over the phone and had to come in for a consultation. I was lazy and didn’t want to make the drive to Manhattan but imfigured, these people know what they’re talking about. I met with Lauren and she was very informative and made me feel comfortable from the get go.
Long story short, I decided on going through with it and made an appointment. I’m a natural brunette, but wanted auburn hair with copper highlights. Kayla ended up doing my hair and my best friend came and got an ombré with lauren. I showed Kayla pictures of what I wanted and she did it perfectly. She made the experience really easy and comfortable. Her and Lauren are BFF ’ and since I was there with my bff it made it more of a hang out session than a hair appointment. The girls were hilarious and made time go by really fast. I am 100% happy with my hair, even though the maintenance is a b. I’m going back this week for a touch up. I love my auburn hair! I was recommended by a friend since I had recently gotten a horrible hair job from a different salon and was desperate for someone to fix it. I went for a consult and was ver impressed by the place and the hairdresser, Lauren.
She talked me through the whole process of what she wanted to do and why. She asked me how I felt about it and if that’s what I wanted. We then scheduled an appointment and I was beyond satisfied! Loved the place and the work!
I found a cool salon, a hairdresser and a funny, talented and awesome friend! Lauren you are the bomb girl!!! Love you!

I came across this salon via Groupon; I referenced it via Unilocal and was SOLD! I chose Lauren because her name stood out from all the reviews. I am so pleased I went with my instincts she’s a hair connoisseur! She’s professional and offers the best customer service with a touch of interpersonal warmth.
The atmosphere and seeing other hairstylists interactions with their clients goes to show the consistency all throughout the board on delivering on great hair results and great experience!
I highly recommend Lauren, the end product is hubby approved, which speaks volumes as he is the first to comment on subpar results. I feel beautiful. Thank you Lauren!!!

I recently moved to the South Bay area from Chicago. I bought a groupon for my haircut and highlights. I’m always a little leery because I’ve been burned by hairstylist on groupon deals before but… thought I’d give it a shot.
The salon — AWESOME! Funky urban feel to it, not pretentious at all, diverse group of employees and customers, and a general friendly vibe. I loved the outside deck area. I start to feel cooped up inside when I get highlights and enjoyed waiting outdoors without having people stare at me for having foil on my head. I appreciate that I wasn’t treated like a low-​class citizen for using a groupon. Parking was not an issue for me and I value the fact that they weren’t pushing products on me to rev up their sales. They do have some really cute jewelry there that I was fighting myself to say ‘no’ to!
Monica — WONDERFUL! Having had my ombré style completely ruined by other stylists in the past I loved that she took her approach at coloring my hair in a conservative manor. She was like, «This is the healthiest approach, if you are not happy with the results we can go again more aggressively for free.» I LOVE THAT! It turned out even better than I expected. The cut — best I’ve had since moving to California.
I will definitely be back and have found my go-​to-​girl and salon. This place is definitely worth giving a shot if you are looking for a new salon

How do I know Michele does an amazing job. When friends, family, strangers! Come up to me and ask me. Did you just get a haircut? It looks like it just got done, the layers STILL look so good. Your hair looks so healthy.

Listing just the facts, I would have to say that I would not come back here.
When I came in I told my stylist that I wanted four inches cut off. And some face framing layers as well as bangs. She told me that she would cut some of my hair FIRST, wash it, then finish cutting it AFTER.
She cut my hair, then added the layers in. But wouldn’t it make sense to cut the bangs first before adding in the layers? Otherwise the layers would just end up uneven. I didn’t say anything though.
When she was done cutting my hair, I told her that she cut too much because she did. But she told me that it just looked that way because of the layers. I came in with my hair touching my butt and left with my hair now only covering my chest. No way that’s four inches.
After telling her she cut too much after washing my hair, she was afraid to finish cutting the rest of my hair so all she did was dry it after the shampoo, and then adding in the cut for the bangs. This made me feel like I was left with a half-​finished job.
I didn’t want to make a big deal about it at the salon since the hair was already cut and it’s not like they could do anything to make the hair grow back so I told her it was fine. But she did offer a free deep conditioning treatment to make up for it.
I would rather not say who it was since I don’t want to call her out on it, but I don’t think I would come back here. Not after getting uneven layers, and having almost a foot of my hair cut off vs. the four inches originally requested. I waited a few weeks to write this review to see if the hair would grow on me, but I am still unhappy with this haircut.

I found out about The Loft through a friend who goes to Janae who is awesome! After talking to Janae, she referred me to Lauren, and that’s where the magic began.
I honestly can’t give Lauren enough praise. She listened very carefully to what I wanted and sorted through the handful of photos I gave her the day before my actual appointment. She took the time to get to know me and what I wanted (a very particular edgy and punky purple ombré — yep, that’s right!). Throughout my actual appointment, Lauren explained everything she was going to do, let me know what to expect, and was so charmingly funny. Every step was great… the wash, the bleaching, the color, and the cut. I left with my hair looking and feeling so much healthier even though I just bleached and dyed it. I literally have not one complaint, which is huge! I just wish knew more people that I could send her way.
If you’re considering The Loft, getting an ombré, a punky color, or heck… just a hair cut, Lauren is your girl!
