What’s not to like about this store. The Luxury of Margaret’s cashmere is undeniable as well as unique bags, jewelry and shoes. You feel like family when you are greeted by the manager Julie who takes pride in her work and takes time to really get to know her clients. I know I am buying timeless pieces and worth the price.

Margaret O’Leary is my go to place for sweaters. Yes I splurged and it was worth it on a sweater that has seen me through extensive traveling in cold and warm weather, has multiple purposes as a coat, blanket and coverup. It’s classy due to the fine construction and fibers and can be worn to a black tie event or causally with my jeans.
Of course I did not get out of there without purchasing a few basic T-​shirts as well. One is white, white, and white super fine cotton with enough length to peak below the light cotton orange pullover sweater. Fantastic for the upcoming summer nights and looks great with jean shorts or white pants. Julie, the sales girl also got me accessorized with a beautiful turquoise necklace and a dusty rose colored wrap.
The other T-​shirts are a linen, would love to call them basic but they really aren’t due to the tie on the side giving them a beautiful drape and creating my figure to be skinnier than it really is. Yep, one in black and one in white.

The store was offering two discounts. I purchased three items. When I arrived home, I saw that the store associate had given me the lesser of the two discounts (much less off). I called the associate and she stated that I requested the lesser discount (which was not the case), and would not correct the receipt. Needless to say, I was disappointed. And the store does not offer returns of any kind. The merchandise was beautiful, but my experience at this store location was not.

Margaret O’Leary makes great sweaters… She is a talented designer based in SF who offers a great alternative to the mass-​produced mediocrity you find everywhere else. Her new shop in Manhattan Beach has a great selection and her staff is friendly and enthusiastic. Definitely a great shopping experience.

Margaret O’Leary is a great find in Manhattan Beach — it’s one of my go-​to boutiques for cashmere sweaters and great linen tops. Julie, the store manager is delightful and helpful. She really understands a woman’s body and what compliments each figure type. One of my favorite things about this store is that way it is merchandised. Everything is in eye sight and accessible. I would highly recommend checking it out with your wallet in tow. It’s hard to go in just to browse and leaving without a purchase.
