All flavors were on point! The burger was cooked perfectly. It was a gourmet double double equivalent. The truffle fries were my favorite but we also ordered the sweet potato bombs and the zucchini fries. Everyone enjoyed their burgers, the steak salad looked amazing!

Came here for breakfast! It’s pretty good! I got the chicken and egg white breakfast burrito. It was a little bland, but I knew I was sacrificing when I wanted a chicken and egg white burrito. I wish I came later so I didn’t feel guilty about drinking beer for breakfast. I definitely want to try what they have on draft. 2 minutes from the beach and in a very comfortable setting. I want to come back and give a few different menu items a try!

Shannon told me they had 99 cent burgers on Tuesday. These burgers are some of the best in the area, then add fries, a beer and it’s a great night. I haven’t missed a Tuesday in over a month. The entire staff is amazing, thanks for bringing me in Shannon.

Yummy yummy in my tummy! I had the southwest chicken wrap and can I say how delicious it was? Our waitress was Melissa and she was very friendly and attentive! Definitely will be returning.

I’ve been here a few times while visiting friends in the area. The food, service and atmosphere has always been on point. However, on my latest visit, the service went above and beyond. The manager went out of his way to accommodate a one-year-old in our party. He played peek-a-boo, sat us where we wouldn’t disturb other patrons, and warmed a bottle. In addition, we got the chicken wrap and cheese steak. Both were superb. Definitely recommend for date night. Definitely recommend for a lunch with baby. Definitely recommended.

STRONGFOUR Came here for brunch before spending the day at the beach. The location here is awesome, a block away from the pier and the vibe is awesome. Me and shorty got the steak salad, breakfast burrito and sweet potato bombs — all were awesome. I highly recommend this spot, good atmosphere and good food, what more can you ask for? Thanks Unilocal, keL v

Bottomless mimosa still poppin just be careful they sneak up on ya lol liked the waffles but the chicken was flavorless and my other two pieces was definitely undercooked. Or i should specified well done. The waiter was cute and funny he tried to be as friendly I like that. The restaurant is small but very cute layout and seating. My friend had the chilaquilas(sp.?) that was tasty for a few bites but the chips got soggy lol reminded me of Fritos pie taste. It had a fried egg on top which was interesting. Will be back for sure like I said bottomless mimosas r still poppin poppin

«Bunch is so cheap when alcohol isn’t involved» –friend I ordered the pork belly Benedict and it was good. The pork belly could maybe have more of a melt-in-your-mouth texture and could be flavored a bit more because it was a little bland. We also shared an order of meatballs which were good but not amazing-these-are-the-last-meatballs-I’m-ever-putting-in-my-mouth. Great brunch spot, def need to come back for happy hour!

The Rockefeller was a great happy hour find! My boyfriend and I came here for Friday night happy hour and left happy and full. They have nice open air seating, as do many of the restaurants on Highland Avenue in Manhattan Beach. The restaurant has a cute, trendy atmosphere. They have a fairly good selection of happy beer and wine that extends beyond the traditional cab sauv and chard choices. I had a couple of glasses of a nice pinot. Here’s what we ordered: Curried sweet potato bombs(with honey aioli): seriously addicting! Perfect combination of savory and sweet. Vey nice portion for a happy hour item. Allagash queso(I don’t think this one was on the happy hour menu): anytime my boyfriend sees the word«queso», I know he’s going to make me order it. This one was pretty tasty! Heirloom tomato and avocado salad: I found this to be underwhelming. I guess I was expecting higher quality tomatoes. It comes with pumpkin seeds and feta cheese. I’d skip this next time and maybe order a salad off of the regular menu. Overall, I really enjoyed the happy hour and will be back again.

Cute, little bar in Manhattan Beach. I love Manhattan Beach because it’s so clean! We stopped by The Rockefeller for a quick drink before having a walk on the beach. They have happy hour until 7pm I believe. $ 5 for certain beer and wine and some bites on the happy hour menu. We tried the sweet potato bombers. So SO good. It made me want to cook some sweet potatoes at home to try to emulate the way they cooked it.

Went to the Rockefeller on a Thursday night with a friend and it was much busier than I expected. Our seating was a bit crammed right near the door, which wasn’t ideal. But thankfully that’s the only complaint I have about the night. Our waitress was so nice without hovering. And the food was SO good. We started with the curry sweet potato bombs… YUM! The combo of flavors totally worked perfectly. I got the southwest chicken wrap and my friend got the fish tacos. Both of us commented on how fresh the food tasted. And we mentioned that we were there for my friends birthday and they gave her a free birthday dessert! So sweet! Would definitely go back again and recommend if you are in the area.

Really great vibe here. My girlfriend and I stopped in after a long day of work. Happy Hour was great! $ 1 oysters! Can’t beat that! Also a great selection of wine. The GM suggested the Notes Chardonnay which paired really well with the oysters. We also tried some of the happy hour menu items, and I just have to say, I think the identity is kind of lost here. Maybe it’s that I don’t go to gastropubs that often so I’m not sure what to expect, but the Indian curry sweet potato bombs are awesome, just not sure why it’s the only Indian flavored thing on the menu. I would’ve liked to maybe see some tiki masala skewers or something to compliment the sweet potatoes. I just feel like I didn’t know if it was a Hispanic restaurant due to the queso and street tacos on the menu, or Traditional American food because of the burgers and fish. Clean bathrooms, great service at the bar top, excellent bar-top space, I really do like this place. I just want the focus to be somewhere to knock it out of the park if that makes sense. Definitely my new Monday happy hour spot for sure with those $ 1 oysters and $ 5 wines!

So, my wife and I went am here for the second time this week. AMAZING I must say. The burgers are to die for. My silly wife left a not say«F’ing Awesome burger dude» lol. A big shout out to Robert and Shannon for always taking care of us. If you are in town, this is the place to go check out and I am sure you won’t be disappointed. The food, the people and the atmosphere is simply meticulous. Will be back again shortly.

I’d had the Rockefeller bookmarked for a while and finally had a chance to go check it out during happy hour! The décor is very cute. The restaurant feels bright and airy! They have good food for happy hour and the prices were fair. However, I was a bit disappointed because they don’t have a full bar. But that was probably my own fault, for not checking the«more info» section! Plus, the sangria was delicious so that totally made up for the lack of hard liquor. I want to return to The Rockefeller, but next time for brunch. The friends who were with me that night said it’s great. They also mentioned that their other location has a bigger bar area. So maybe that’s the good one for happy hour/drinks. I also think that this location in Manhattan beach is ideal to start off the evening with a small bite and wine or beer.

Came for $ 1 oysters happy hour and sampled other dishes also. The oysters are $ 1 until they run out, and they were fresh and had the ocean taste. These are great for the price. The flatbread was average. We got ours with steak and it is half the size at happy hour. The guacamole was also just alright. A lot of reviewers raved about it, but I felt it lacked some flavor. It needed a bit more like zest and I even added some salt and pepper. Chips were crunchy. The sweet bombs are sweet potato fries in chunk form. The sauce made it extra sweet so I would not dip it. It had a slight salty taste that worked well with the sweet potato. The mac and cheese is a favorite. Melted cheese was very good and was hot when it came to the table. Would order this again. I had a red wine, but manager also suggested the coedo shiro hef which was awesome. My date ordered this and I think this is my go to beer from now on if it’s available at any place. Made in Japan and light and crisp, but leaves a memorable after taste. Try this if you go. Love the ambience as this is a great date place and I would totally come back for the oysters and mac and cheese. I would also want to try the burger happy hour also. Seems like a great deal.

1 dollar oyster Monday’s… 99 cent burger Tuesday’s… *drops the mic and walks away* You know those places that you just love everything about? From the décor, to the food, to the staff, to even the layout of the restaurant? Rockefeller is that spot for me. Such a great little restaurant with a very mellow & friendly vibe. Hidden off the main Manhattan beach strip right up the road from the kettle– it’s the perfect restaurant for a date night or just to catch up with friends. My boyfriend and I come here on Mondays for dollar oysters and to enjoy one of their many draft brews. We also come here to catch up with their staff and the manager Rob who is such a genially great person and makes each trip to Rockefeller worth while. Some MUSTTRY items: Fish tacos… Literally the best, don’t question. Just order Ahi salad– comes in a crispy tostado, yaaas Zucchini fries!!! Come check out Rockefeller, it will not disappoint

Please see host before seating. We got there around 10AM and it wasn’t to crowded. I asked the host if she can accommodate us to the table of 4 by the window since we were only 2. She accommodate us for a party of two by the window. Our waiter was very attentive and very friendly. We enjoyed our bottomless mimosa, which by the way have different flavors to chose from.(my favorite, the guava). We also enjoyed our breakfast, I have the chicken and waffles. I wanted to try something I usually don’t order and it was delicious. We had friends joining us and asked the waiter if he can accommodate a party of 4. We were moved right away as our friends were on their way to join us. Our friends placed their ordered while we ordered seconds. I really recommend the chilaquiles they are very flavorful. They have a good selection in music and people all around are having a great time. Customer service is attentive, the food is amazing, the drinks are good! Overall had the best time, Thank you Rockefeller for the good time :-).

I was in Manhattan Beach with a small group of friends, looking for something«fun but not too crazy.» We found just what we were looking for at The Rockefeller. For starters, the restaurant itself is small. It features a large handful of old rustic style tables, and a small bar. The tables are spaced out nicely too. Whereas most smaller establishments try to cram as many tables into the room as possible. The dim lighting and dark décor creates a very casual, relaxing atmosphere. It’s really perfect if you want to find something with a fun, upbeat younger crowd, without all the noise and elbow rubbing of some of the restaurant/bars closer to the pier. As I mentioned before, it’s not overly crowded here(even at full capacity). Which means you’ll have lots of visits from the friendly waiting staff, who are more than happy to offer recommendations and chat a bit. We never had to wait to have our glasses refilled, even at the hectic dinner hour. The food was very good as well. We started with some truffle fries and sweet potato bombs(which I highly recommend), and a four beer flight to wash it all down. I enjoyed a southwest chicken wrap for dinner, and was REALLY impressed with it. They also offered some healthier menu substitutions for my friends and I(yes, I know this totally contradicts the beers and fries. Cut me some slack!!). All in all, we had a very pleasant dining experience. I’ll definitely be back, and look forward to exploring their menu a bit more… And maybe to have a few dozen more sweet potato bombs.

WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE~!! Came here with 5 girlfriends on a Sunday for Bottomless Mimosas($ 15/hr) I mean brunch. We made reservations beforehand and they had a section reserved for us upon arrival. We had to park a few blocks down due to the limited parking but oh well. what can you do? We ordered the Guava Mimosa — The BEST Mimosa hands down Watermelon Mimosa — Good Peach Mimosa — Good Ahi Tuna Wonton Salad — Very Fresh. Wish there were more tuna pieces but nonetheless I devoured my salad Mac & Cheese — Amazing Lobster Stuffed Avocado — Excellent Truffle Fries — Just tastes like regular fries Chillaquellas — Almost like a breakfast nacho. Pretty good All the dishes were great. Service was fast and friendly. Everything was great. We all spent about $ 35 each including tax and tip.

My review for here is long overdue. My siblings decided to eat here for brunch after passing by on a walk. We came right when it opened and there was plenty of open tables, so there was no wait time and our service when seated was fast, which is a plus. I also really loved the style of the restaurant and the atmosphere was very comfortable. There was lots of open air, a full bar and nice décor. It seems like it would be a really fun brunch spot had we come on a Sunday to watch football. I wanted something simple to eat, so I ordered the Chicken and Avocado burrito, Chicken and Avocado are among my favorite foods so I figured I would like the dish. Unfortunately it was really bland and boring. I had to drench every bite in salsa to get some sort of taste to it. It was well prepared, so it wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t good either. Safe to say that this dish was underwhelming and easily forgettable. My sister ordered the Chilaquiles and my brother ordered the Pork Belly Benedict. I had a little taste of each and both were really good and I think they enjoyed their dishes. I’ll probably be back for brunch again and perhaps order a better dish.
