Ben the front of the house manager is too cool. His pizza ingredient recommendations are spot on. He has a great ora, buzzing around, making the establishment run smooth. We had half bacon and cheese with added cream cheese half Big Apple. Crust was crispy even after 10 min on the pan. Top crust and cheese had great scorch, I have to out this up to top of my pizza awards wall. Sauce as chunky with a hint of sweet. Goodness I tell you

Stopped by with the lady for a couple of slices. I had the Grill Cheese Pie, and Chicken Parm Pie. Added a side salad and glad I stopped there. The slices are large and evenly covered in toppings. My favorite of the two would be the Grill Cheese. The cheese and bacon just work. The lady also really liked hers! The good. By the slice lets you try anything on the menu. Good flavors. Good prices. The Bad. I got full way too fast and couldn’t eat more. The Ugly. I didn’t order a pie to go. Really a solid place.

When we move to a town, one of the first orders of business is finding our go-to pizza place. We had heard AJ’s was good, so we ordered take-out. We really did not like the pizza sauce, it’s too sweet(which we have found seems to be a trend in Manhattan, maybe just overall in Kansas). Other than the sauce, the pizza was okay(but the sauce is a pretty big aspect of pizza). We also ordered the garlic knots, which were not garlic knots as I’ve always known them. I’m grew up in NY, and AJ’s really shouldn’t be calling itself a «NY Pizzeria.»

Not a bad establishment. Really friendly staff and a great atmosphere. I ended up going here because i always pass it and decided why not. I ordered the number Hot Wing Pizza. It was better then i expected. I also ordered the half order of Toasted Raviolis. These were amazing. The only down fall to this place in my opinion is the crest. The crest looks like something you would get a Dominos or Papa Johns. It even tasted it alittle. Other then that this place is really good. I will recommend this place.

Fun place which smells good as you walk in. Several fun pizza and salad choices. I had the garlic knots which were pretty good. My salad was tasty and the Italian dressing was muy Bueno. My pizza included several toppings which tasted great. The servers work hard and are friendly. A good place for families and ball teams. The restaurant is very similar to Johnny Bruscoes Pizza — if you get my expression.

Heard this was the best place for pizza here. We ordered a large pepperoni. It seriously isn’t the greatest. Not bad, but I wouldn’t order here again most likely. I did like their sauce was sweeter, but still just a regular pizza.

On Tuesdays kids eat free with an adult(free slice of cheese pizza, 1 topping $.50) and one free cinnamon knots per family! Great deal! :) Salads are great too! they also serve wine and beer.

Applebee’s was very packed so we went across the street to Aj’s because I saw good reviews. The prices are reasonable and you get a lot of pizza. I believe I spent 20 bucks for an XL and I had left overs for days. The pizza is fresh out of the kitchen, very cheesy and made from scratch. If you love pizza this place is somewhere to visit.

I definitely was in the mood for pizza and this place did not disappoint. They have a multitude of different premier pizzas but of course you can build you own, which I did. I ordered a large with pepp, bacon and banana peppers and enjoyed a libation waiting on the pizza to be done. The restaurant was clean and had several tv’s plus some games for families to enjoy as well. The staff was friendly and extremely efficient and I loved having my pizza to go, eating and watching hockey!

I got the 18&8th-sub anchovies for the pepperoni. This was a pretty good pizza, folks. I prefer NY style and it had a chewy crust with fresh toppings. Good sauce. Good amount of cheese and toppings. This was a pleasant surprise for this road warrior.

I’ve eaten here a couple of times when I’m in town and it’s the best pizza in the area! The place is clean, people are nice and the food is great!

We’re becoming regulars at AJ’s on Tuesday nights. Our family of four can eat for $ 20 including a beer! It’s even better in spring/fall/summer when you can sit outside on the patio. They’ve never rolled their eyes at our mess, and the pizza comes out quick and hot. Quick tip: get your slices kid cut. My fave slice is Hawaiian + spinach + jalapeño + blue cheese.

I’ve been here one time and ordered a calzone which is about $ 9 and it was about the size of my hand, very small. I would not recommend ordering a calzone from this place because of the size and it was burnt, and very dry. Also, they didn’t add some of the toppings I chose. Overall I am really disappointed with this place because I spent $ 18 on 2 calzones for myself and one other person but the 2 calzones wouldn’t have made one person full. Also, I’m not sure why but these calzones did not taste good, they tasted pretty bad. I wouldn’t have spent $ 1 on these calzones but here I am out $ 18 and both of us still very hungry. I have not had the pizza so This review is specifically for the calzones and my experience from last night.

Stopped by here as a recommendation and it did not disappoint. Pizza was good and one slice is almost equal to 2 slices. The pepperoni knots were really good! They also had .50¢ budlight draws when I came in so that made it much better! Clean and friendly staff

Ordered The Big Manhattan — sicilian style– to go. Definitely impressed by both the quality and taste. The thick crust was perfect — crisp, filling, and not greasy. The toppings were flavorful and delicious. Will definitely be back to try other kinds.

Wanted a quick slice of pizza close by, and AJ’s fit the bill. Modified cafeteria style setup. Went in and ordered from the counter. They delivered my food to the table. A little thicker than what I like, but it was still good. The wings in particular were very tasty. Reasonable price with a military discount. Overall a decent pizza joint. One to repeat if I’m in the area and have a hankering for pizza. Recommend!

Decent place to grab a quick bit to eat for lunch. The pizza was pretty good. We had the Doctor’s Delight. The sausage had good flavor. The food came out quickly. The old downside is this location looks a little run down. Was this an old Wendy’s? The table was sticky. The floor looks permanently dirty. They serve bottled beer. If you were in mood for beer and pizza and large group this would be a good spot.

This place is pretty good! Kind of just your average pizza place. Nothing really stuck out about this place, but the food was good. Everything seemed to be made fresh. We came last night, which was a Tuesday. They had kids eat free night. They have a different special every night Monday-Thursday. I had a slice of margherita pizza and the Williamsburg salad. Everything was pretty tasty, just nothing mind blowing. The cinnamon knots were hot, sweet, and tasty! Yummmmm. Everyone that worked there was nice and the dirty dishes were cleared off of our table at lightning speed.

Hubs and I ordered the 18th and 8th pizza. It was good, but not NYC good. Still, it definitely hit the spot and satisfied my craving for family-style Italian pizza, which I figured would be impossible to find in Kansas. We also ordered garlic knots that I thoroughly enjoyed. They were delicious and came piping hot and super garlicky! The atmosphere and décor gave me a bit of nostalgia of weekend trips to the city, so I would definitely come back more for the atmosphere than for the food. I won’t be returning often though because I found it to be pricey, but I suppose it’s excusable since this is the only restaurant of its kind in the area. If you seek pizza from somewhere other than Domino’s, Papa John’s, etc, definitely give this place a try. It’s great for a casual date night, especially with its outside dining area.

I really like AJ’s pizza! I came here on a football game weekend with my visiting guests. Three of us ordered pizza and one ordered a salad. Her salad got lost in the tickets and it never came. Luckily we had enough pizza to share while the kitchen put her salad together. Not only did she get a refund, but she also got a $ 10 gift card. Since she lives in Omaha, I got to benefit from her gift card. I returned tonight to pick up a pizza right before closing, which was no problem when I called. I stuck with what I tried last time — the bianco, which has garlic oil and ricotta under mozzarella. It is really delicious and simple. Just a splash of red pepper flakes makes this pizza just perfect. I recommend AJ’s for a good slice of pizza or a whole one — there are lots of specialty pies and you can make your own. One slice can be enough for a meal!
