Wheat State Pizza

I wouldn’t say it was exceptional but for the price and the wheat crust option… it’s worth what I paid… Think I’ll be increasing my rating after future orders but for now a good starting point. Timely delivery on a Home Game KSU football night, pie was still warm on arrival, Veggies were fresh and not mushy, cheese wasn’t greasy… sauce was light as requested… the Wheat Normal Crust was pretty decent — good flavor, nice chew, a bit thin for my tastes but no worries — still nice to have that option. Will definitely try them again!!!

After reading some of the reviews I didn’t know if we should order from this pizza place or not but we decided to give them a try. We ordered delivery lg garden pizza, it was still warm when we got it, the cheese and veggies were plentiful! We would definitely try them again, we loved the pizza!

We ordered delivery, and one of our items was forgotten — we were not reimbursed in any way for it. The pizza was just okay — the sauce wasn’t very good, and the toppings were on the minimal side. I’m not sure what I expected from the «pepperoni rolls,» but they were pretty boring. The wings were not good, very mushy. Everything was pretty cooled off by the time it got to us, also. It wasn’t terrible, but we won’t be ordering again, unless it’s our only option for some reason.

I have never been disappointed. Every pie is tasty. YUM!

Tried their cream cheese pizza on whole wheat crust and it was delicious. 4 starts just for selling whole wheat crust and other healthy options!

Being new to the area I’ve been on the hunt for a really great pizza and was hopeful Wheat State might be it. Sadly, it was one of the worst pizzas we’ve had in a very long while.
The crust had an odd consistency and an even more odd, strangely sweet, taste. The sauce on the other hand, had no taste. And my husband said the Italian Sausage on his was awful.
Maybe they were just having an off day or it was a trainee making our pizza that night, but it was so bad I’m reluctant to give them another try.

I got a small, thin wheat crust pizza with anchovies and pepperonis. I’ve said it one and I’ll say it again, all true pizza joints have anchovies! Total was $ 9.79. A little pricey but not too bad considering how the pizza tasted.
It was good. Not the best I’ve ever had, but quite good. It was nicely done, the crust wasn’t ultra dried out and crunchy like some places thin crust is. It was the perfect consistency. The wheat crust was good and tasty, very hearty. I usually like a white flour crust but this was not bad. Probably healthier too.
The cheese was good, nothing extraordinary. They gave me the perfect amount of anchovies, giving a pleasant salty savory kick to the pie. The pepperoni was also very good.
Basically, see what I’m saying? This place makes good pizza. A little on the expensive side for a casual meal, but you get a quality product. Also, customer service was excellent. The guy running the register was super friendly. I had about a 10 minute wait for my pie so I went out to my car to listen to the radio and make a phone call. The guy actually came out of the store and very nicely gave me the pizza. He deserves a raise.
So if you are in the Manhattan/J.C. greater Kansas area don’t hesitate to try this place out. I’m sure you’ll find it very nice!

Was in Manhattan on a cross country move (from NY) and was craving a good basic pizza. This place fit the bill exactly. Really good pie (pepperoni and black olive on the white hand tossed crust). Would definitely recommend.

OMG!!! This is the BEST pizza EVER, if we could have it everyday we would!!! The selection is endless and the wheat crust, to die for plus gluten free, I’m in heaven!!! They think outside the box with their toppings, my family is so excited when we have pizza night!!! Cannot wait to order again, very soon!!!
