Blake Scotland

Blake was a housemate of mine back in my college days. She was stylish then and even more so now. Her store is a great place to shop. :)

Everytime I leave this store I end up dropping some serious guap– which can be a good or a bad thing. Three of my favorite pieces I own are from Blake’s store and I’m really happy with them: A Boxing Kitten skirt that is so orginal and funky, a sexy as hell body con dress, and an awesome vinyage fur jacket that is my diva staple in the winter.
Blake, the owner is the BOMB– so sweet and personable and knows her shit. Her clothes are a little pricy, but if you go in there looking for a unique and cool piece, not to cop your summer wardrobe, its worth the price. She has events often in the store for regular customers and is so welcoming and accomodating. It’s a new store so expect some on going changes, but it is def worth checking out!

I came in to buy a few pieces by Boxing Kitten, a very cute line of African inspired rompers and dresses. Unfortunately the sizes available were too small, but I did stumble across an asymmetrically cut 100% silk shirt by a brand called Left of Houston that I am in LOVE with. It’s loose and airy, extremely unique, and feels great.
All that to say… Blake and Scotland has a lot of one-​of-​a-​kind, great quality pieces by smaller independent labels, which is a godsend if you’re interested in wearing items that are fashionable yet help you stand out in a crowd.
The owner is a doll and scored extra points by charging my blackberry while I shopped and offering me water. Win, win.

I live in the neighborhood and absolutely love this store! She is always bringing in new clothing lines and fun styles. I have a dress I got here that I have never worn without several people asking where I got it! The owner is always friendly and helps me find the right style for me. Def check it out!

I live on the street and am so glad Blake Scotland is here! Any easy go-​to when I want something new on a Saturday night. The pieces I have gotten here all have a little sass in them and I appreciate that/​the fact that she always has new lines I’ve never heard of but love.

Could our day be any more awkward after walking to a clothing store that was supposed to be closed, or not? The salesperson was standing behind the counter the whole ten minutes my friend and I were browsing and yelling on the other end. She was arguing with someone about how they should not close their store early. Maybe she should learn to have some manners and discuss that type of stuff after we leave the store. Very bad vibe and clothes are not even really on sale. Just marked up above retail, and then a percentage off? BLEH
