YOU DO NOT NEED A ROOT CANAL!!!
6 months ago, my tooth crumbled and 2 dentists told me I needed a root canal & implant. It’s not good to have metals permanently set in your body so I found Dr. Shumantov by searching for bio compatible implants.
When I went to see him, he said I DIDN’T need a root canal at all and would be better off with a crown. I was THRILLED!!! A root canal is a really terrible procedure. Not to mention it has also been linked to cancer due to the chemicals used.
Dr. Shumantov was super professional and finished the crown in 2 visits. He uses the latest tech and most of the process was painless. The crown also fit perfectly from Day 1!
Six months later, the crown still feels like any other tooth! (Crowns have a tendency to get infected, give you bad breath, and fall off after several months if not done properly).
I can’t recommend Dr. Shumantov enough! If anyone tells you that you need a root canal, go see him for a better opinion! (Or to have it done with materials that aren’t harmful /​toxic).

EDIT: He has 2 NYC offices in midtown and 1 in NJ. Most of the other reviews (all 5 stars) seem to be under the NJ office.
