El Taco Ranchero

It doesn’t get any better than this unless you hop on a plane to Mexico City

My five-​star review is based solely on the veggie taco, I can imagine the meat dishes were just as good.
I was on my way home from the IKEA in Red Hook last weekend, and having 1) not eaten a thing all day, and 2) carried about half my bodyweight all over the place, I was about to fall down on the street about 100 yards from my front door if I didn’t stop for a taco right then.
At this point I had been living in East Harlem for 4 months and hadn’t once gotten around to trying the street food (shame on me!), so I opted for the veggie taco, seeing as how I’d sworn off meat again the week before.
I was BLOWN AWAY.
Granted, I usually prefer veggie dishes over meat and poultry, but I never knew beans could taste so good.
Refried Beans, lettuce, tomato, radish and sour cream, limes for juicing and the most perfect salsa with just the right amount of heat on a warm, chewy tortilla.
I tried to go to lunch again the next day, but apparently, they’re closed on Sundays.

i love this taco truck :) well, i love most taco trucks, but i LOVE this taco truck! mmmm chorizo :) mmmm chicken :) oh wait i’m sorry, pollo. this ain’t no endless summer taco truck, this is the real deal! always say yes when they offer you stuff. onions, cilantro, guacamole, hot sauce, YES! oh, and tacos are $ 2-​$ 2.50 each. suck on that, dos caminos!
