I’m really shocked at most of the reviews about this store. I started using them quite recently and so far, so good. Customer service is very good. After only being there once before(and another time stopping by to ask a question) the lovely young woman behind the counter remembered me and got my items without me even having to give her the receipt with details. So far, I’ve dropped off linens rather than clothing and everything has been perfect. Prices are reasonable and very pleasant experiences every time. I hope this will continue. Also, they do accept credit cards –FYI re earlier review to say only cash… this might have changed since then? Definitely accept CC now. Yes, they close on Sundays but a lot of dry cleaners do(my old dry cleaners — favorite place in NYC — Woody’s on Upper East Side also close on Sundays.)

They charge $ 5.25 to dry clean a shirt. That’s all you need to know. Now go someplace else. RUN!

Awful! I just picked up three shirts and one of them was still wrinkled! UNACCEPTABLE! I should not have to iron my clothes after it being freshly dry cleaned! Price is more than I’m used to and express my ass! 3 shirts pick up after 2 days. truly disappointed. I wanted to support local business but not if it’s shitty.

The worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. They lost a pair of my pants. Then they lied everyday about losing them for two weeks. And when they finally admitted that they didn’t know where they were, they said that they would not reimburse me. The manager also pretends not to speak English so that he doesn’t have to handle issues that arise. This is a completely crooked business. BECAREFUL!

We live 2 blocks away so we tried SO hard to make this our go to place. After several attempts, we’ve finally had enough. Laundry not delivered when promised, and no real attempt to make the situation right, aside from telling me where my laundry gets washed and instructing me to walk over there myself to get it. Had an instance where they just flat out didn’t clean the clothes, nor the stains we asked them to remove. THey did on the second attempt, which proves they did NOTHING the first time yet tried to pass it off as finished. Then, the most recent orders came back smelling so strongly of moth balls, a few dozen squirts of Febreze still couldn’t do the trick. This was my suit I needed for a business presentation, and even after airing it out overnight and spraying it, the smell remained. Now our most recent wash and fold all came back smelling like moth balls, so we’re moving on. I don’t know what the deal is with the moth balls, but between this and the poor service(suggesting I wait 5 days for my wash and fold laundry for example) — it’s time to move on.

This is the worst dry cleaning experience I’ve ever had. I recently moved to the neighborhood, and on the first time I tried this place they lost my $ 400 blazer — probably the only piece of clothing I own that I was really attached to, both because of how much it cost and how much I liked to wear it. As if that wasn’t bad enough, they made me come back five times before they admitted to losing it, then refused to compensate me more than $ 70. Actually the best part was they tried to give me store credit for the $ 70, assuming I would be coming back. I feel a little bad because there is a young guy who works there who was pretty helpful. But he had to defer everything to his uncle, the manager, who was unhelpful, abrasive, never there when he said he was going to be, never looked me in the eye, and tried to squirm out of paying me once he finally confessed to losing my clothes. Never go here.

I can’t tell if they just couldn’t understand what I was saying or if they didn’t know how to clean clothes. I brought in 5 pairs of pants and a skirt suit. I was charged for a men’s suit for the skirt suit(not sure how a man could fit in my skirt, to be honest), and each pair of pants was $ 4.75. I had a Unilocal deal, thank God, otherwise, I’d have to scream, «Highway robbery!» I requested a couple of stains be removed from the suit blazer… they weren’t. Again, not sure if they didn’t understand that I wanted the stains removed. I knew I was asking for trouble when the woman asked for my phone number, and I said I hadn’t been there before so it wouldn’t be in the system. She asked me at least 5 times, and I indulged her each time, knowing that number was not in the system because I hadn’t been to this cleaners before, which I repeated at least 5 times as well. To indulge her further, I emphasized that my phone number begins with 202, not 212. She then said, «Wait, it’s your first time?,» signaling that she really hadn’t been listening to me the whole time, or she just didn’t understand. Ten minutes later, once all my clothes were in the bag, and I received my receipt, my phone number was prefaced with 212. Oy.

They aren’t so good at removing stains. My cashmere cardigan came back to me with the same chocolate stains. They are good, though, at alternations and the price can’t be beat. So. Very. Cheap. I will be using them selectively, just for alternations.

Nothing makes me feel more adult than dropping off or picking up my dry cleaning. I don’t really need to do it that often, but in preparation for the winter months, I dropped off my heavy winter jacket for a sprucing up. Also, I actually own a suit, wore it a couple of times, and figured that should be there, too. I’ve previously gotten some jackets cleaned there as well, and this place is pretty satisfactory when it comes to the actual cleaning of your clothes. Downsides: it does take several days for something that shouldn’t necessarily. They also ONLYACCEPTCASH, so prepare to go back to the dark ages. Put that plastic away, okay?! Their hours also suck hardcore. I’m pretty sure they are not open on Sunday? They also don’t really have evening hours? I think maybe they are open until 7:00PM some days at the latest. Still, it’s one of the better lit and maintained establishments around the area. I would go back here if I need to, but if I really wanted to shop around, I’m sure there are plenty of places on the Upper East Side that might have more flexible hours and except credit cards as well as maintain the same prices that this place does. Halfheartedly recommended.
