This here is a 2 part review… I entered the store 2 days after Xmas and waited on the line with 15 ppl a ahead of me. I got to Lawrence. He told me about the buy 2 used get one free promo & I jumped on it. He also took the time to sell me the membership. Now, the line was long, he was the only one on a register, but he didn’t rush me off. True customer service. I got the membership, my 2 for, plus a new game & kept it moving. Great job, Lawrence!!! FIVE& ½ STARSFORLAWRENCE!!! He didn’t even make a big deal when I told him PS1 was my last console(as a teen) & Xbox one was my 5 yr old sons first. He showed me the«record scratch» face(expected) and filled me in quickly, keeping mind of the long line, but giving me undivided attention before the other person opened up a second register, per Lawrence’s request so he could take more time with me. Kudos, Larry!!! My next review gets NOSTARS!!! The guy with the super bushy hair and foul mouth was the one who attended me on a Saturday when I went back to tell them that my Lego Marvel game wasn’t in its case, bushy hair f*** found it. When I asked him if a 460 game would work in a One console, he assured me YES– enough for me to leave confident that my 5 yr old would see me a super mom as usual. Now, the other guy with the slick super gelled hair on shift, advised me to check the Xbox website. But, bushy hair foul mouth cut him off and assured me it worked. I have my 5 yr old put in the disk & …

This is one of the bigger spaced out Gamestops I have been too. They have games, I really don’t know how to review a gamestop so yeah. If you need a game go here.

Customer service is awesome! The employees lent a helping hand and with any questions I had especially for the console I wanted. They were active about helping all the customers in the store with any problems. Only negative thing which is just not this Game Stop but all other Game Stops I stop by in is that most of the free playing games are usually broken. Other than that, everthing was A OK.

On Gamestop’s website, Battlefield 4, brand new game, was listed for $ 39.00. On thursday, 12/26/2013 about 5pm, I went to GameStop, 324 lst Avenue, NYNY and asked for the Battlefield 4 game. I was charged $ 59.00 plus tax for the Battlefield 4 used, 2nd handgame, not new. When I pointed out that there was a $ 20.00 price difference between GameStop online website price and their brick store price. The store clerk said, «yeah, I don’t know, why we do that». GameStop is ripping off customers in my opinion, charging a far higher price in the store, for a 2nd hand game, than the price on their website for the identical game, but brand new.

Not sure why this place gets such a bad rep. I’ve had numerous positive transactions here. From picking up preorders to impulse buys… All good. Staff had been very friendly and helpful through the years. I would not hesitate to recommend this location. I would not recommend the smaller one closer to Best Buy. Read that review for more.

Huge space with a lot of games and two huge gaming statues to take pictures next to. Stopped in to ask if they had a used adapter and got friendly, kind service. I like gamestops for looking for old games that will be discounted but they’re very pricey with anything new. Used new games they’ll take $ 5 off max, so they buy used for $ 15 and resell for $ 55. What a business, why didn’t I think of this?

Milling round Union Square and trying not to look too conspicuously like a tourist, I popped in here to see if there were any bargain PC games to be had Sadly, the retail PC market seems to be shrinking and GameStop are stocking fewer and fewer PC games in their stores There was a large floor space but a measly single stand of PC games. I guess the download market is what they’re targeting with a catalogue listing games that they’re offering online I guess I’ll have to bite the bullet and join Steam

As Game Stops go, this one wasn’t bad. Went here yesterday to pick up a game placed on hold by my husband. I don’t like that it seemed like the staff was goofing off some and they weren’t particularly organized in putting aside that game. However, it was refreshing to see a store actually selling a new game in the original shrinkwrap. Did Game Stop finally stop violating the FTC laws with their old«new game» policy? There also wasn’t a long line so I got in and out in a reasonable time. Looking forward to playing our new game.

Decent, and very large showplace store near Union Square. They are often crowded and for a store this size, understaffed. Also, they need to organize their damned used PS2 games. Some of us don’t have all day to pick through over 200 used games, most of which lack the original case and booklet, but DO have a price the same as if they did.
