IKEA Shopping/Delivery Assembly

Two guys and a truck showed up on time (actually early) for my move. They were fast and very strong bringing out items 2 at a time. The men were considerate of my items and floors (even in the rain) I did a lot of research and these guys had the best prices. No hidden costs. They finished in the estimated time and at the estimated cost. I highly recommend these guys. They are worth every penny!

Easy move with awesome staff! I’ve used these guys more than once, and constantly recommend to friends. Moving is such a hassle in general, but Cargo made it easy! They are quick to respond via email. Everything was disassembled, and reassembled in my new spot quickly and efficiently. No regrets!

I am having to call the State Attorney General’s Office and the Better Business Bureau for a conflict with this company.
I used their Ikea Shopping, Delivery, and Assembly Service. The delivery workers were great. The company’s ownership/​management is cheap, dishonest, and unfair to their workers.
First, George (the manager/​supervisor and perhaps owner?) told me that they would deliver at 3pm yesterday. They came today at 9am because George overbooked his employees yesterday. George explained that there was bad traffic yesterday, yet when I spoke with his employees, they mentioned nothing about traffic, they merely said that they had a job on Long Island (I’m in Brooklyn) that took all day. They were never in traffic when I spoke with them, nor did they say that there was bad traffic.
Second, after seeing my complete shopping list, George provided me with a price quote via email (they boast to beat any competitor’s price). He quoted me for 2 hours of assembly at $ 70. His two employees arrived and spent 2.5 hours. No problem with the 2.5 hours. I was expecting to pay another $ 18. However, George said that in fact I owed them $ 175 for the assembly.
I informed George that he quoted me in an email the price per two hours for assembly at $ 70 and that $ 175 did not match up with this original quote. George said that he would give me a 10% discount on the assembly.
I informed George that this was too much. He told his employees to start disassembling all of the furniture and to take it away. At this point I had ALREADY paid the company $ 707 for $ 500 worth of Ikea merchandise.
George told me to go ahead and call the police if I wanted to resolve the matter that way. I did not want the police to point the blame on the company’s employees, however, who were just doing their job.
Consequently, I am now filing my complaints with the New York State Attorney General’s Office and the Better Business Bureau.

Best service out there, quick and reliable. Professional crew. Bought everything, delivered to my apartment and assembled without any delays. Excellent !!!
