Great atmosphere and exceptional service. Very friendly people and the food was good. My wife had fish and chips and I had the sample plate. We enjoyed everything. Not the best Keltic food ever but we would like to eat there again.

In town for a wedding and decided a good pint and burger would hit the spot. I was not disappointed. The interior of the pub is just that. Dark woods, a large bar, and pub tables adorn this little gem. Had a pint and The Braveheart burger. Comes with banger sausage ground up on top of a hefty patty. Fully dressed with bacon, ham, swiss, and cheddar. Don’t tell your cardiologist. Oh so good. A two hander for sure. Natural cut fries really went well but made it almost to much to eat. Almost. The Good Good atmosphere. Friendly Staff. Good Beer. Great burger. The Bad Burger didn’t come with fries. Was an add on. The Ugly Nothing I can think of. Will be back the next time I visit.

The environment was very Irish. There seem to be a lot of things around the bar that had a to do with the Irish culture. It was a bit dark if you were not sitting by the window. It was also a bit small for a bar. The food was really good but the price vs the amount of food you get is a bit off because it’s expensive for how much you get. It had good flavor but i wish i had more for what i got. The one thing that i did like was the beer! They had a decent amount of beer choices . I would recommend if you want a very chill environment.

A nice pub in Aggieville with an authentic selection of good Isle foods. The lamb stew was really, really good and seasoned to savory perfection. The Braveheart pub burger is an homage to heart disease– burger topped with 2 cheeses, grilled ham, bacon, and a banger(sausage). Only thing missing was a fried egg– which you could add if you needed extra protein . Not a bad place to watch a bit of soccer or rugby on a cold day.

Keltic Star is a treasure! Don’t miss out on this gem. It’s a fun atmosphere with an English phone booth inside… nice bar setting or take your pick at one of the booths or high tops. Staff is all super friendly, polite, and even conversational! I was in Manhattan for the weekend and managed to make it here twice… once for dinner and the other time for drinks. Both times I left very satisfied and wishing I lived closer so I could make it here more often. There are some TVs, which made it fun to be amongst the fans during a K-State basketball game. Food was pretty good! I had the Fish and Chips, which were deliciously flakey and cooked to perfection. I had a couple bites of the Bangers and Mash and while I thought it was certainly worthy of ordering at a future time, my boyfriend thought it was decent, nothing to write home about. I was happy with both meals though, and can’t wait to go back to try even more. As an appetizer, we had the Reuben dip which was great for sharing between two or three people. It made me really want to try their Reuben sandwich… I’m sure it is nothing short of fantastic! When we went back for drinks the next day, I had the hot chocolate with Malibu(on the menu but I can’t recall the title)…it was scrumptious, as was the cider or two that I had on tap. Can I just go back here, like right now?

Great little pub with the perfect atmosphere. I came on a Tuesday when it wasn’t busy, but enjoyed the staff, music, and food. I tried the pub platter and enjoyed everything that was on it. I recommend this place to anyone that enjoys a traditional pub experience.

This is the second time I have dined here prior to a KSU football game and I must say both times have exceeded my expectations! I sat at the bar both times and the bartending staff are all super courteous, professional, and knowledgable of the drink and food! The beer selection is perfect for a modern pub and is served cold(and Guinness poured correctly!). The Irish Soda Bread with the brandy butter is indescribable:-)! Regarding the appetizers, we ordered the Welsh Rarebit both times and was delicious(who knew bread and cheese sauce could be so damn good?). I ordered the«Irish Egg Rolls» once, an item that I would typically steer away from, delivered on all fronts…’twas delicious! As far as entrees go, the first time I dined here, my dining partner and I both ordered the Reuben Sandwich-amazing bread, succulent corned beef(REAL pulled & properly marinated braised corned beef-none of that sliced deli crap!). Tip on the Reuben: 1 sandwich is HUGE! I will update this review after I finish my meal, but damn, I wish there was a Keltic Star in Kansas City!!!

Killer Fish and Chips! Don’t even bother eating them at any other place in town! Everything I’ve eaten(and drank) here is absolutely delicious. Get the sampler platter and a lamb slider and find yourself in UK food heaven. They even have a cocktail with Pimm’s :D

Warm greeting as we came in the door. Open seating. Great easy going music Very friendly staff! Loved the input and communication through out my meal!(checking in on us) New what was good if not ordering the special, and I let them choose! Reuben has real corn beef and probably the best Rueben I have ever had! Fish was battered well and it was buttery! Cornish pastry was great! Bangers and mash was not my favourite but hubby loved it. Shepard’s pie was great too! And then there was the strongbow cider!

Had the cheese steak special. They serve it with pulled corned beef and jalapeños. DELICIOUS. Service is attentive but not intrusive. It is a great place to have a sandwich in Aggieville.

I’ve lived in Manhattan too many years for this to be my first time here. I have been missing out! Great food. Great service. It has the feel of an actual pub. I tried the fish and chips today. The last time I had fish and chips this good I was in England.. in the 80’s. I will definitely be back!

Definitiely a place to visit in Manhattan KS. You feel as if you have stepped into the British Isles, the food fits, and you can even get odd things like chocolate covered bacon(ok, it’s good once). Still, the beer is great, almost anything you pick on the menu tastes great(I’ve been here three times now), and you will leave feeling great.

I recently ate here with my brother, who attends Kansas State, while visiting for the K-state Vs Texas Tech game. And I took him out to lunch we stopped in and both really enjoyed the food and atmosphere! We both got the Reuben sandwich and it was the best Reuben I have ever had! Very authentic and you get what you pay for, quality and authenticity. The atmosphere was cool also clean and like an old English pub I enjoyed it. The service was great and the owners take pride in their pub, walking around and conversing with their customers. They are very nice people was happy to eat there and will again when I return.

I was starving around 2PM and started wandering around Aggieville in this beautiful weather. I had Keltic Star bookmarked as I tried to go here when Eric R. and Harold L. were visiting me 2 different weekends. However, I got busy unpacking from my move and never got over here. I was intrigued by the very British menu and set my sights on the pasty first. I have had a pasty once at Cornish Pasty Co. in Vegas. The atmosphere is very nice inside — purple accented bar stools, a red telephone booth inside, and a spacious area with lots of televisions. The bartender was very nice and we chatted throughout. I ordered the pasty which comes with a potato side. I got mash with brown onion gravy. The potatoes were not very hot but the pasty was, so I just ended up smearing the gravy-drenched mash on the pasty as I ate it, which was quite good. The pasty already was hearty with beef, carrot, potato, and rutabaga inside. I also got a side of brown onion gravy for dipping. The best part of the experience was the Irish/Celtic folk music blasting in the bar. For those who don’t know, I played in an Irish folk band in college and really enjoy this music. The atmosphere cannot be beat! I look forward to returning, especially to try the curry and the lamb stew. Cheers!

Good place if your looking for something out of the ordinary. The fish and chips were great. Had the Scotch eggs and they were interesting but good. No complaints about the service. Had the St. Mary’s and a Snakebite from the bar. The St. Mary is like a Bloody Mary but made with whiskey and Guinness.
