This salon has been under new ownership since Oct/Nov 2015 and the new place is fabulous — lovely renovation, clean space, friendly staff, great color selection(and quality), and Helen the owner greets me by name. They’ve also got a roster of really amazing massage staff; Justin in particular is clearly professionally trained. For nails I’ve gotten to know Elisa best and usually request her by name. Can’t say enough good things and I think they are struggling to get up and running because of all the horrible reviews on here for the previous business. But trust me(I live in the building and walk my dog down this stretch of 64th several times a day) — Kim’s Coco Nails is gone and the new business is well worth a visit.

$ 15 for an eyebrow wax & I will have to go to my regular place to have them fixed! I showed the lady a pic of how I wanted brows shaped. My brows look ABSOLUTELY nothing like what I wanted. As a matter of fact, it looks like she barely did anything. Didn’t ask her to take more off b/c I was afraid she would really ruin them. NEVERAGAIN!

First of all these people are absurdly expensive and not honest. The manicurist slipped collagen gloves on me before telling me they cost extra and then charged me 21 dollars for a manicure! In New York! To add insult to injury, the manicure started chipping the very next day. This place is a rip off. It is getting two stars only because I am feeling merciful.

As convenient as this place is, I can’t get myself to go back there. I had two bad experiences… I arrived with leftover gel manicure. The lady sits down and starts using her fingers to scrape the gel off… I said aren’t you supposed to wrap my fingers in ton foil and acetone?! I couldn’t believe she was peeling them off… That’s what ruins your nails. Not to mention I had to wait. Manicures do not last even a week. Their presentation of nail Polish is awful, too. Would not recommend.

The owner of this salon is one of the nastiest people I ever seen as a proprietor. Her prices are outrageous and she changes them at will. I will NEVEREVER go there again. No star rating.

Jesus — Take the Wheel. In order for me not to get kicked of the Unilocal,I’mma crunch my anger down into a few select words written in a small bullet list: 1. They are dirty and they lazy people. She took the foot scrubber out of the drawer — used it(lightly … like that’s gonna do a damn thing) and then swished it BACK in to the water my toes were in, and then put it in the drawer. 2. My friend and I were sore for 2 days after their chair massage. I was so pissed off about the quality massage, I got up 5 minutes later. I couldn’t take it. 3. The flimsy disposable one use flip lops she put on my feet had nail polish on them already. 4. They were unprofessional. I can’t even relive the moment I had when it was time to leave. Just know — it was not good. In short. Don’t go there. Don’t pass go. Overpriced. Dirty. Mean. and Unprofessional.

This is very close to Lincoln Center. I chose the spa pedicure and it was great, scrub, mask, scrub, lotion and i chose french tips. The place has lovely light, no acrylic nail smell, friendly staff and is very clean. My girl was so good with foot massage, I asked for 10 minute hand massage – They used a timer but continued for a bit after it dinged! I loved it. With 20% tip the whole thing under $ 90. If you pay cash they give you a little tube of lotion.
