I’ve been a happy customer for more than 5 years. The shop is clean, the barbers are all friendly, and my haircuts are exactly what I want, even when I change my style. Prices are reasonable and I appreciate the little touches, like the straight edge razor shave for the back of my neck. Definitely highly recommended!

I have been going here for about a year. They are the most friendly and welcoming barber shop on the block. There is usually no wait and the barbers actually listen to what you want. I’ve been to a couple local barber shops but keep coming back here for its convenience and price. I feel comfortable with all there barbers cutting my hair. Whether you looking for a quick buzz or a relaxing haircut this is the place to go.

Dilya is the best Barber that I have ever had. She is smooth with the straight razor, uses a hot towel and lotion to warm up and soften the hair.
Her skills with the buzzer make me come back here week after week for my grooming. I feel like a rockstar after getting up from her chair!

Luiza is the miracle my bf and I have been searching for. After months of visiting random barbershops in the city, we’ve finally found the one. Luiza makes you feel really comfortable and she even recommended a great hair regimen for in-​between cuts! My guy also had a shave with the haircut and said it was relaxing. Will definitely be coming back!

I’ve been a regular customer at Murray Hill Barbershop for over four years. It is a real throwback to the neighborhood barber shop. The barbers know your name, they are friendly and all of them are talented. Sergio and Yan are my usual barbers, you really can’t go wrong. Nice hot lather and clean up of your neck with the razor afterward. Fast in and out. Great location. Highly recommended

Yan has been cutting my hair for almost 20 years. He has gone from a make-​shift family operation in Chelsea, to a small (3-​chair) space in the Village, to the bright and clean facility in Murray Hills. I have never worked with the other barbers in the shop but they all look friendly and capable.
Because my hair grows fast like weeds and that I have the typical coarse and straight Asian hair that may present a challenge to some barbers, I go to Yan every 3 weeks to get my trim. Yan knows exactly what to do and does it efficiently with no fuss. I also enjoy the straight-​blade shave at the back of the neck. It provides a nice, satisfying, ending to a scheduled maintenance.

I’ve been going to Yan Barbershop for 10 years. Yan started cutting my hair at his shop in the West Village. His haircuts were so amazing that after Yan moved his barbershop I started coming to Murray Hill just so he could cut my hair. Nice guy. Great service. Very efficient. Yan will cut my hair for another 10 years.
Insider’s Tip: If you have long hair like I do, ask for a scissor cut. Yan is more than willing to oblige.
