Great food, amazing service. Defiantly will be coming back! The Gril was off but the owners offered to make chicken fingers and fries still. Great guy!

Honestly, this place is probably the closest thing I have to my mom in NYC. Their extremely reasonable prices make sense once you come to understand how good of people they are. Bomb sandwiches made with all the love. I give dirty looks to people coming out of 7⁄11 on A, and sometimes mutter obscenities at them. If Santa Barbara ever closes(or is forced to close), it’ll probably be time for me to move out of the city.

Great little deli at the corner of 12 and Avenue B. The Steak sandwich is awesome. Chopped up steak with cheese and onions. If you want, you can put in the works; Mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, salt & pepper. This bad boy comes in a hero and even that gets a slight toast. Breakfast sandwiches there are outstanding. Bacon is always cooked crispy so the BLTs are to die for. Love your buttered breakfast rolls? Get there quick because they sell out fast in the mornings. The price is cheap but don’t fret, the quality is good. Nice selection of potato chips, soda and juices. Yes they even accept EBT cards, but man does it hold up the line. I always joke with the owners after a long wait of EBT purchases in front of me, not to worry, I have cash lol. Nice people there. For old school Hispanics, they sell Dominos there! Spanish dominos, not the confusing American ones with the double 9’s and so forth. All in all is a great place for breakfast and lunch if you’re a sandwich person. Quick grab of something small like batteries or condoms *wink wink*. I know I’m thankful it’s there.

This deli has the absolute best sandwiches in the neighborhood if not further! Inexpensive and totally high quality!!! When you ask for it hot they even toast the hero/roll! Ask for the grilled chicken or the steak sandwich for complete meal on a hero!!! All my European customers swear by this place for the closest thing to home! Everyone who works here are super nice and friendly. Go in around 4 or 5 and you smell the bacon grilling from a block away… the perfect time for a tasty BLT! I run a store around the corner and can tell you that breakfast, lunch, or dinner you have walked in the right door!

Located on the corner of E 12th& Ave B, I cannot count just how many times I’ve stopped by this bodega whilst in Alphabet City. It might be the cheapest bodega I know, selling sour patch kids for $ 1 instead of the $ 1.50 that most places charge. The workers are super nice and appreciate your business, but stay away from this place around 3pm on weekdays. Kids from nearby schools stop by here for their mid-afternoon snack and it becomes a war zone.

Nothing to see here, unless you happen to own this place. In which case: Dear Powers That Be, If you think that I’m going to ask the burly man cashier to help me reach the tampons on that unreachable ledge reserved for cleaning products and instant noodles, thank you — you have more faith in my social grace than I deserve. Fondly, Steph C.

This is my corner bodega, and has been for the last fifteen years. They opened right around the same time I moved into my apartment. Rafael(Rafi) the owner is a very nice guy. He’s from the Dominican Republic, and spends fall and winter there now, so he’s only around in the summer. I remember when his hair was black. It’s just your standard corner bodega, but it’s clean and the people that work there are all nice. The have a deli/grill and make a killer steak, onion and cheese pressed hero. Killer as in good, and killer as in if you ate this everyday your heart would explode. _______
