I went to this shop in 2012 and have recently began wearing a studded black cross body bag that I bought there. I decided to look them up on Unilocal and I’m really surprised by the low ratings! I had a great shopping experience there; the guy working the place was really cool and a bit intimidating but didn’t make me feel any less cool(thank you guy) and he helped me score this cute bag I’ve been talking about without being too pushy. He made some nice small talk that reminded me how proud I am to be a native New Yorker. About the bag… It’s still in rotation and still holding up REALLY well, in fact, a good friend of mine today commented on how great it still looks after all these years! I think I’d like to go back and check out what they have… I was not disappointed back then hopefully I wouldn’t be now. :)

I just had a great experience here today. I was looking for a new top that I could wear for work, and drinks after work, and I popped in here while walking around the East Village. They have a really cool selection of locally designed pieces that are fun but also really wearable. Really nice fabrics, some fun prints, but the key is that everything’s beautifully cut. And the best part was the designer was in the shop helping me try things on, and showing me how to wear them. Which was awesome, since normally I’m pretty helpless when it comes to putting things together. Anyway, I ended up with a gorgeous hand-dyed magenta merino scarf, and I will definitely be back for more!

Great clothes. Amazing Prices. Fun owners who design their own clothes. I recommend them.

HORRIBLEHORRIBLEHORRIBLE customer service and quality control! Very rude on the phone. I’ve lived in NYC for 10 years, I shop A LOT in these local boutiques, and have never met such unreasonable owners. They sold me a damaged piece and refused to exchange it or even give me a store credit. It was a silk print piece, they clearly messed up the print, but decided to sell it as if nothing was wrong. Their excuse was that«it’s one of a kind». No, it’s just bad quality control. Granted, the piece was on seasonal sale but the damage was NOT the reason that it was on sale, because the same piece in another size was also on the rack(i.e. they were just trying to shove this damaged piece to someone, they didn’t even mention that it was final sale when I was paying) It’s very disappointing because these owners design some nice stuff, but they just don’t have the vision to run a reputation business…
