Good haircut at great value! I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for a basic haircut. I’ve been going to Mila.

I’ve been getting my hair cut by Mila at D&P Barbershop since last year. My first time here was following a bad experience at another establishment on Astor Place. Mila is friendly and professional and I leave with a great haircut every time.

I used to live in the East Village and on impulse decided to have my long hair cut off. A few minutes later I happened to pass D & P and walked in. I was thrilled with the cut and the color, and could not believe it when I went to pay and was told the cost. I really thought that I had heard wrong. My friend treks all the way to the end of L.I. for exactly the same results, and pays over $ 300 for them. I live all the way up in Washington Heights now but I still go to D & P. A clean, friendly place to get a great cut and style.

I’ve been going here for a few months, it’s so apparent when someone knows what they’re doing with hair. The lady that cuts my hair, Natalia is great. She’s pretty humble and pleasant and definitely knows what she’s doing. I won a haircut at a real salon($ 30 value… or whatever) it took an hour and the haircut was nothing like hers and her prices are very reasonable: $ 18. Definitely recommend this place.

This is my NYC barber shop, from when I moved into the East Village and now when I live in Stuy Town. Mila is a sweetheart. Like others say, I don’t have to wait long for a walk-in haircut, and she always cuts my hair(wavy short hair, male) perfectly. She’ll foam shave the back of my neck too. One time I even got to take part in a Skype call she made to her friends in Uzbekistan! It’s one of the first places to make me feel home in NYC, and it’s still affordable and easy. Thanks Mila. :)

This is definitely an East Village gem. Mila is great. She is friendly, accommodating, and gives a great cut(not one bad cut in 3 years). She charges just $ 16, but I always give her $ 20 b/c the service is great, and I have never once needed an appointment. I just walk in, and she fits me in within 15 minutes, if not 5. The place doesn’t look fancy, and Mila’s English is good, not great, but don’t let that stop you. This place was recommended to me by friends in 2009, and I still recommend it to my friends today.

A really wonderful east village secret for keeping your look up to date at the right price. Mila and her staff are available for a quick trim, shaping up eyebrows, silky blow-outs, even color. Be really clear if you call for an appointment, English is not the first language here. However, there is no problem translating your style wishes once you are in the shop.
