Without a doubt 5 stars. Almost my entire office goes to David, and it’s easy to understand why. He takes exceptional care of everyone who walks through his doors, and takes great pride in his work.
He knows how to work any hair style, and is truly a perfectionist. I have since moved away from the UES, but still come to see him regularly.
Go to David, I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

It took me a while to find a barber that I liked after moving to NYC. Once I started coming here and getting haircuts from David, I knew I wouldn’t have to look anywhere else.
David can give you exactly the haircut that you want for a totally reasonable price. I would definitely recommend his shop to my friends (and I already have).

No one should feel unsure after a haircut, if you do switch barbers. That’s what I did and found Dave. He is a fantastic barber. He helped me correct the butchering from my previous barber and gave me a clean cut style. I recommend Dave 100%. He’s always booked so call in advance.

Very inconsistent. Went there after a friend’s suggested it but was disappointed after my 3^rd haircut as the quality went down. Feels very rushed every time.

First impression how nice the place was. Well kept by David. Next was the personnel and how he cared for all his customers. David’s a realllly chill guy and it’s obvious that he works for all his customers. Lastly, the place is affordable.
Bottom Line: This place is a hidden gem!

I moved into the UES in June and after trying a couple different barbers (Level 78, York Barbers, etc.), I have not looked any further since my hair was cut and styled by David.
Dave has been my go-​to barber now for about four months and each occasion, he has taken the time to understand the shape of my head, ask me what I look for in a haircut, what I have disliked in past haircuts, and really make sure I leave happy. I have been more and more pleased each time I go to Men’s Lounge.
Dave has now gotten to know me as a regular customer, even after only five or six haircuts, and knows to give me «the usual» when I walk-​in.
The rest of his crew are also great barbers and are worthy of the 5-​star rating. I encourage you to get your next hair cut at Men’s Lounge.

The best mens hair cutting experience I have ever had. Great service & friendly staff. The attention to detail is amazing! It is a good quality cut every time, you won’t be disappointed. All my haircuts here have been exactly what I wanted and for a decent price. Highly recommend.

I recently moved to New York and was in desperate need for a good haircut, so i looked some places and found this barbershop. I booked a time with David and went to get my «mop chopped». David sat me down and asked me what i was looking for and spent some time getting to understand my style. Within minutes he was able to pick up on an issue I have been having with my hair for years and explained how my previous barber was using the wrong methods for my type of hair. He hadn’t even cut anything yet but i knew he was my guy!
If you go here, you are not going to get a generic «cut and run» type haircut, they will take their time and make sure that you get a top quality cut. Hands down the best cut I have ever gotten. Come down and see for yourself — you will be glad you did!

Best hair cuts and best people. David’s been cutting my hair since he opened up two years ago. Can’t go wrong with this place. They’re very busy so I go during lunch time. For good laughs and great cuts for men, this is the place to go to.

This place is the place to go for an amazing haircut at a really affordable price. David and Maria are so dedicated to their jobs and I’m very impressed how they make customers feel at home in their barbershop. David especially is great because he asks you exactly how you want your haircut plus he even teaches you a little bit about the trade while he’s cutting hair. Will definitely be back soon! Oh, and watching the big screen from the mirror is a huge plus +++++

My new go to hair cut place. I just moved to UES and went to eddies which I thought was over priced. I thought my haircut here was better and reasonably priced. 17 bucks. Will be back!

I’m hard to please with my hair and wasn’t crazy about barbershops I’d been to since moving to NYC. I saw the Unilocal reviews and decided to give it a try– and I’m so glad I did. I made an appointment with David for 7 pm.
Things were running a bit behind, but that’s only because David really takes his time and doesn’t rush and the customer before me had crazy hair. So I had to wait a bit but it wasn’t exc
My hair is thin, and my hairline is receding. I’d been wanting to try something different with my hair, something to help make it look fuller and more modern. After telling him what I was thinking, David walked me through how he would cut my hair — I really appreciated him taking the time to explain. Once I gave him the okay he started cutting, and I haven’t been this happy with a haircut in years. In summary, David works magic. It was completely reasonable at 25 dollars. I’ll be coming here forever.

Hands down the best haircut I’ve gotten since I moved to NYC 3 years ago.
Don’t lose your time looking around, ask for David, he knows what he’s doing. I asked for an edgy, sophisticated cut and that’s exactly what I walked out with. Worth your time and money, I’ll definitely be back.

The barber cut my ear. No apologies. Also, she didn’t really speak English so it was hard to communicate with her. I don’t understand why there are so many rave reviews. They gave me a $ 10 haircut for $ 25.

Probably the best spot for a good haircut at a reasonable price in UES. Got my haircut for only $ 25 not including the tips. Maria, who worked on my hair was great, will definitely be back!

This place gave me a good cut, but I’m not sure if I’ll be back. The pictures on Unilocal don’t show that there is now a pretty large jewelry case in the front of the shop. I’m not sure what’s going on with that, but it caught me off guard that a barber shop was also selling jewelry. I want my barber to be a barber. this made me a bit nervous to sit in the chair.
In a small place, such as this barber shop, organization goes a long way. It seemed that almost every drawer in the place was open and wires hanging out all over. I’m not trying to beat up on these guys, but getting a haircut at a new place is about trusting the person cutting your hair… it’s more difficult for me to relax when the barber’s workstation looks like a bomb went off. A clean up would go a long way.
Like a said, very good cut, very good price, and nice people… just not sure I’ll be back. I really wanted to like this place, and I think if they got back to basics it would benefit their business.

There’s a few times when a new connection works out to be a NEW BEST… my third haircut by DAVID was the best so far!

Quality, Quick, Affordable
All things a man wants when he goes to get his haircut. Men’s Lounge staff were all very friendly. No fake corporate bull$h*t tone of voice or fake happy smiles found here. All welcoming, relaxed, but with a professional meanor. You get full barber-​service, start-​to-​finish, and walk out relaxed, with a boost of confidence feeling great. Their pricing is a steal, so tip well! These guys work hard.
