Definitely the best Belgian waffle I have ever had. I had a Belgian waffle with strawberries, Nutella, and whipped cream. I want a million of them!

Absolutely amazing. Staying in the city for two days and knew we wanted breakfast before heading home in the morning. Thank you Unilocal for leading me to this gem! They seem to always have at least a little line(20 minutes long on a December Saturday morning). It’s worth any wait! Our party of three ordered: The Elvis– waffle with peanut butter, banana, bacon and syrup! WMD– waffle with strawberries, bananas, hot fudge sauce and whipped cream. The turtle– waffle with dulce de lech, walnuts and hot fudge. They were all amazing! Each one of us loved the one we ordered the best(seriously, Elvis. Hands down) The owner of the cart was so nice and does a great job with the food! This cart is a must for us. Grab a waffle and sit on a bench facing Central Park. Perfection.

Yummmmmmy! Perfect for if you have a sweet tooth. Make sure you pick it up and eat it fresh, preferably somewhere close to where you purchased it and somewhere you can sit and use utensils. We got something off the menu(can’t remember the name) with two waffles, strawberries and bananas, whipped cream, Nutella, and cookie crumbs. Absolutely delicious and filling. Enough to share with at least one other person!

When I walked around the park, most of the food stand sell the hot dog. This is different so I give it a try. The wafel would be a good choice when taking a rest.

The best waffles in the world!!! If you visit new York you definitely need to try this, I thought I was in heaven. Speculoos spread is the best spread I have had in my waffles. Totally recommend this!

Praise the LAWD for these waffles!!! I almost saw the light when I ate the waffles. The only down side is that when I finished it I cried a little because I wanted more.

On the edge of Central Park sits Wafels & Dinges. My husband LOVES waffles and ice cream, so as soon as I spotted the cart, I knew we would be stopping there. He ordered the basic with waffles and vanilla ice cream, which cost $ 6(which I thought wasn’t bad for NYC). The waffle and serving of ice cream were decently-sized. They have a lot of business, and it is a crowded area, so they make the waffles ahead of time and then heat them for the order. While I understand that this is a necessity, a reheated waffle is never as good as a fresh waffle– sorry. The waffle had good flavor and was presented nicely. It probably would have knocked my socks off had it been made freshly instead of sitting out(for Lord only knows how long in the humid summer heat) and then being reheated.

Good sweet crepes. But big warning about the Savory ones: they are not done with Buckwheat as it should be. They only do crêpe with sweet dough, not really nice with ham, cheese …

Walked all over the city looking for the carts. Finally found this by Central Park. It was worth the walk. The girl working was super friendly, the line wasn’t bad, and the wafel was AMAZING. We got the Throwdown Wafel inspired by Bobby Flay. This thing was so good. Can’t wait to go back and try another.

This cart is located on the outside edge of Central Park. I saw it and ran to it. I noticed the yellow and black colors. The cart has some interesting things that I don’t usually put on a waffle. There was things like peanut butter, Nutella etc. The guy running the cart was ok. He didn’t seem to be in the best mood but it was ok I was there for the food.

Such a lovely place to have a great sweet snack. Their waffles are so good. There are a lot of different toppings and I was not able to choose one for about a minute. My choice fell on nutella and strawberries. I enjoyed it so much. Will try to get into the area as soon as possible to eat some more of their gorgeous waffles.

I had a meeting over at the NYPL Performing Arts Library, and as I left the subway, I stumbled upon this waffle truck. I had no idea what I was getting into! I ordered the Throwdown Waffle for breakfast(lol, oops), mainly because I was Food Network fangirl all summer. DANG, this thing is incredible. That spekuloos spread is really something. Probably enough to share, but you won’t want to.

Stopped here on my way back from FAO Schwarz as it’s just a block away. Saw these guys on food network and had to try it. The waffle was delicious. Got Da Bom with chocolate sauce. If I go again before I leave Ny I will get one with lighter toppings so as to enjoy the waffle even more! I’m originally from NYC and I wish this had been around when I was in college! Don’t pass them up!

My last full day in NYC and no better way to end it with a delicious Belgium waffle. My friend recommend we stop here and it was conveniently near our hotel and right outside Central Park. The two guys working were super friendly and one was pretty hilarious. Very helpful and patient as we took a while to decide what to get. They have a menu that has prefixed toppings, but my dad, bro, and I decided to create our own. Starts at $ 6 and the first topping is free. An additional topping is $ 1 and for $ 2 you can get unlimited from the choices they offer. I got walnuts and bananas(healthy, right?) It was fresh off the griddle and was oh so good… and beautiful! It was the perfect combination and the waffle itself was chewy on the inside and had this wonderful sugary crunch on the outside. I wanted to chew it forever. Unfortunately, it was gone in a matter of minutes. Yes, a bit pricey for a waffle, but it was a generous size and the quality was top notch. Couldn’t expect a better waffle. Was also nice to sit right in Central Park and walk a little after to burn some of that piece of heaven off.

This truck makes your sinful Belgian dreams come true. Needless to say, I was more than ecstatic upon learning there was a place to get real Belgian waffles in NYC. After having been separated from a good waffle since summer of 2008 when I visited Belgium, I had been searching ever since. We walked over 20 blocks from the Gershwin Theater in a quest for something to satisfy our sweet tooth(and for me, that longstanding longing for just a damn Belgian waffle). After standing in line for a good while, I decided on the Liège waffle with a scoop of ice cream and some speculoos spread. I’m sure what I got still didn’t qualify for an authentic Belgian waffle(and you can see the tools they use in the truck; it looks kind of like a regular waffle maker you can get in the US), but boy that was the closest thing I’ve ever gotten in this country. I think they may just add yeast to the waffle-making process to get that thick consistency and texture, unlike the other places that advertise Belgian waffles on the menus but don’t deliver nearly the same thing. I did not like the speculoos spread, though. It was my first time trying it so nothing to do with the truck; I just don’t like that thing. But the gingerbread cookie ice cream was good, and the waffle was freshly scorching hot. Next time I’d definitely want chocolate or nutella instead. We took our little trophies to the benches in the park and devoured away. Perfect sweet ending to a day of strolling in Manhattan.

First time at a waffle cart & I was immediately impressed by the high energy & customer service by the lady serving us. It was just about to start raining heavily & was freezing cold that day, but staff was still upbeat, helpful & friendly. I wasn’t sure what to order, so I asked her to make me whatever she recommends. I’m glad I gave all the power to her! The food was delicious. It was a waffle with chocolate & strawberry toppings. All the flavors and textures went quite well together. Nothing overpowered the other, taste-wise. I also had a latte to pair it with which totally unified the whole meal. I loved it! :)

Having enjoyed a ‘Brussels Wafels’ in Belgium it was super nice to be able to return to the experience here US. The carts offer a quirky experience to a number of great options for ordering a wafel. I have tried the belgian chocolate fudge, the nutella, and the spekuloos all as one single dinges on a wafel on different occasions and all of them were simply great. If you follow them on Facebook(or Twitter I assume) they seem to have a daily challenge where you can get a free dinges upon ordering. The carts do not seem to be fully up to speed with the challenges but if you put in the effort and have fun they will know what you are trying to do.

Wow, dessert for breakfast? Why not! These wafels are something else. They only had sweet wafels(I wanted to try some savory ones) but oh well. These were still quite delicious! =) A must-try when in NYC!
