Great good, service and value. Went with a group of 12 ranging in age from 12 to 50. Everyone was raving about the food.

Paul was a delightful server and offered amazing suggestions. I’m so glad he was there to introduce us to Boodads because he made our experience there memorable. He was very polite and knowledgeable. He must of read my mind too because he knew I wanted to have a bloody Mary to drink ;). Everything was delicious and had me super full & pleased. Mussels were the best I’ve had here in Colorado and their twist on traditional shrimp Alfredo was amazing. My wife and I will for sure return. Keep up the Great job guys!

Good service, delicious food. Easily one of the best restaurants on the street. Calm ambience with fun Cajun music, you can relax further with knowing you’re not going to break the bank with their fair prices!

Mmmmmmmm. The service was amazing. The food was amazing. I am blown away by the low reviews. We ordered enough for 10 people to eat and loved it all. The drinks are mixed perfect and they have so many varieties of liquor. Could order anything I ever wanted. Military discount too! Try the crawfish dip!

My girlfriend and I stopped in two nights ago on a cold Sunday evening. The place was mostly empty, we had excellent service here. We started with blackened gator as an appetizer and then moved onto our main entrée. I had the blackened crawfish ettoufee and my girlfriend had the gumbo. In all our dinner for two with an appetizer and a cocktail for each of us came to about $ 40. Which was very reasonable for great food I definitely recommend this place. To anyone who likes Cajun/creole food

Um! Delicious! First time enjoying Louisiana style foods, so I’m no pro, but everyone I went with was thoroughly impressed with the food. Flavourful, spicy, southern! Like I said, delicious. Most of the table had one version of the etoufee, or another. I had the grilled shrimp, and my sister had a veggie burger. She didn’t want to finish the last bite because that meant the burger would be over, and she wasn’t ready for that. Wine by the bottle, a little expensive for what you get. The hot sauces at the table, deceiving. They seem to just refill old Louisiana type hot sauces with tobacco. That is my only qualm.

Great Creole food here. I love Nola, and you can get some here. I dislike biscuits, but they can change your opinion here. I will never visit Denver without a visit here. I am indebted to this kitchen sha!

Finding a good Cajun restaurant outside of Louisiana is challenging. This one is not bad as long as you don’t KNOW how Cajun food is supposed to be made! We ordered Red beans and rice. They came out as dry beans over a cup of white rice. No juices from the beans. It’s as if they drained the juices off and did not include that with the dish. Strange! Next was the chicken and sausage gumbo. The roux was thick like jelly. It should be much more liquid as well. They used chicken strips for the chicken… like you use in a chicken strip salad. Come on guys… really? I think there was supposed to be sausage in the dish but I never found it. Etoufee was great. They got this one right just ask for your rice on the side. They give you way too much rice otherwise. Veggie side items are good. Okra, Cole slaw. Tiger shrimp were good… just small. Guess that is to be expected. Dessert? Ordered pecan pie and it was half of a slice. Like they forgot to give you the end piece. We got the top crust and a little bit of the pie but that was it. The waiter got annoyed when I asked for the rest of the piece. He said they are all cut that way. That is just poor cutting. He did comp the dessert which is NOT what I wanted. I actually wanted the rest of the piece. Lol. All in all… for Colorado Cajun it was ok. It you have been to New Orleans or grew up in a Cajun household it won’t compare.

Do not come here. It’s not authentic, their Mac n’ cheese is literally Kraft but they sprinkle bacon on top so I guess that makes it better? They also charge out the booty for their food. Honestly, I am a foody, eat out a lot so I appreciate at least semi-decent food. Everything including their overly seasoned ranch is way below par. Service was good and they have Breckenridge Brewery beer so that’s a plus… If you read this and have any taste buds left, you will be disappointed in a $ 50 meal you could have made at home for $ 5.75. Ordered: –fried calamari– edible when drenched in Louisiana hot sauce. –Jambalaya with mac n cheese and side salad with ranch –shrimp po boy with Mac n cheese

Do yourself a favor and do not eat here. The beer was warm and the tater tots tasted like they fry everything in the same old oil. What made it even more disappointing is that I had to pay for it. Crossing my fingers I don’t get food poisoning. The only positive thing about the place was the patio provided a nice breeze and a place to escape from the heat.

Awesome food. Great atmosphere. And very friendly service from James. We had the Beach Salad, which was fresh and crispy and the raspberry dressing was out of this world. The burgers and tots were a hit and the buffalo chicken sandwich turned into s wrap was delicious according to my daughter. I would highly recommend stopping by for lunch or dinner.

Fried Okra was good! Jambalaya and Etoufee was sad, but edible. This place did not plug the hole in my heart that was missing New Orleans cuisine.

3 stars for customer service, but I think I’m being too nice. –1 for nasty food. Went here because the place looked crackin with everyone on the balcony on such a nice day. But looks were deceiving… My sister and I shared the crawfish étouffée with a side of fried okra and my dad got the shrimp jambalaya with a corn on the cob. Our dish was super salty, and the jambalaya was super bland. We ended up mixing them entirely to balance the flavors. Overall, I’m a little sad the food was disappointing to the fact that the workers were so nice. I know it’s not their fault.

Our family is from Texas and Louisiana so we were really excited to try Colorado’s take on cajun cuisine. We came on a Sunday and the wait was 30 – 45 minutes long! It took another 15 minutes just to get our drink orders. The table in front of us(3 adults and 2 children) told us that they’ve been waiting for an hour and still haven’t gotten their food! We ordered an appetizer of the fried calamari(never got it), the stuffed catfish(pretty good), the catfish baskets, and I had the cajun burger. I COULDNOTFINISHIT, it was not very appetizing to me, I literally took 2 bites of it and tossed the rest. The staff did inform us that they’re new, so maybe give it some time and they’ll improve?

I really wanted to like this place. I am from Louisiana so to find a new place in my favorite locale(Manitou Springs), I just had to check it out. We had 1−½ hours on a Sunday to have lunch and make a 2:00pm commitment. We sat down and waited for 10 minutes before getting menus. Once we placed our drink and food orders, we waited another 1 hour, 10 minutes to get our food! During our wait, the waiter apologized profusely for the wait, and refilled our drinks 3x. Once the food arrived, it was very disappointing. The crawfish po-boy was mostly bread, red beans and rice tasted like a bad box mix, and the shrimp étouffée was cooked with mini, over cooked shrimps. Needless to say we won’t go back for the food. The location is good and might be nice to have drinks on the patio, but do not order the food…

Walking through Manitou Springs and got hungry. Hubs wanted to stop by and see what Colorado bayou cooking taste like. We walk in and wait to be seated, not really knowing where to go. There are no signs and no one comes to greet us. Finally, a girl with a blonde ponytail sees is and seats us(keep her in mind). After we are seated she lets us know that our server will be with is shortly. A gentleman came and got our drink order and we started to look at our menus. (Menus that have ten million things on them scare me. Pick the best of what you can do, and do it fresh! You’d be amazed! Especially for such a small hole in the wall place.) Back to our food… we get our drinks, it’s yet again a different server! At this point I’m trying to figure out from the mingling in the back who’s section I’m in and who’s not wanting to take our table and do their job. It was so frustrating! We got our food, my coconut shrimp was burnt lol it was good! Just cooked too long the fried pickles were cooked together in little mounds(like they had thawed and refrozen possibly-not sure, didn’t ask) the kids liked their kids plates«ok» and my husband got a shrimp burger he said was amazing. The girl with the blonde ponytail did refill our drinks while we were eating and even got a bag for us to take our kids leftovers back to the hotel in. The first gentleman broke some change for me as well, thanks! This place just isn’t put together. I feel it’s lacking leadership and organization… going to stay south for the southern cooking

Menu is broad. Bayou burger and black n bleu burger were good. Their Boo Das sauce was exceptional. Cajun shrimp wrap was decent. The tots were fantastic. Friendly staff. The outdoor deck overlooking the town of Manitou Springs looks to be a real winner when it’s not winter.
