We come here from Texas because the ice cream is so good. Just joking but seriously, when we are in town, we HAVE to stop here. The coconut almond ice cream is out of this world. I can see why they win the best ice cream year after year. We also bought 2 dogs treats for our dog and he woofed them down. So all of us were satisfied! Don’t miss this stop if you are in town.

Walked in for two dessert sized truffles. Delicious, truly delicious. I got dark chocolate and my husband got milk((but why was it filled with dark chocolate?)) We paid like $ 7 for just these two which is twice as much then the shops at home, but whatever. I want another right now.

We loved the ice cream so much we went back before we left to go back to OKC! The ice cream is to die for and the staff was super friendly. We also got some truffles to take back with us and they are delicious! If you are here, you should definitely stop in! P. S. If they have the horchata ice cream, totally get that!

Confections of deliciousness galore. The staff is friendly and there is eclectic décor including a bounty of Star Wars merchandize. The Darth Vader lords over the area with swagger. One can’t go wrong with the Dark Lord of the Sith beckoning you to go cray with the truffle purchases. I make a point to stop here whenever I am in Manitou. I am never disappointed. The one downer is the coffee. I ordered an Americano and it was weak and not very good. It was like a regular coffee but worse. I do not fault them because their main business is chocolate and they do super in that arena. This quaint business is a must-see. Go out of your way for a visit. You’ll be glad you did.

Ice cream was good and the chocolate frappé was even better! Lady scooping ice cream was nice but the owner was a royal bitch!!! She would not ring you up and would go around you. Your ice cream melting down the arm and still nothing. Then she gets mad when you ask for a bag for your items!!! No let me carry it with melted ice cream arms!!! I will not be returning in the future because of the rudeness of the stoned manager!!!

We experienced such friendly, helpful service here & managed to try every ice cream flavor:) We rarely find a place where the flavors are so delicious that it’s hard to choose, but here, I had a difficult time. I chose the chocolate peanut butter chocolate chip & my boyfriend chose the coconut almond, mango, & strawberry. Delicious!

Ch ch ch cherry bomb! One of the first places I stop when visiting Manitou Springs, I get a bag of yummy chocolates to last all week(and maybe use as bribes). You must get at least two of anything that looks good because you’ll be forced to share. The cherry bombs and Hawaiian salted caramels are a must.

Our two visits to the Manitou Springs location were great! They have delectable sweet treats and is a better, more local alternative to Durango-based Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. The shop is cute, and on our visits they’ve had a plate of various samples by the register. The clerks on each occasion have both been efficient and accurate. One was friendly and engaging, the other more silent(but that did not affect the vibe of the store or her job performance). We LOVE the fact that PPC has dark, milk, and white options for nearly all of their chocolate products. On our two visits, we’ve ordered all sorts of savories including marzipan, salted caramels, coated pretzels, peanut butter cups, barks, etc. Surprisingly, the truffles here are my least favorite– don’t get me wrong, they’re good, but they’re not as fabulous as I’ve had elsewhere. The truffles come in two sizes and there are plenty to choose from. My favorites have consistently been the dark choc almond bark and dark choc peanut butter cups. The almonds seem to have been salted and roasted before getting mixed with the choc, because this bark has more flavor than ones I’ve had elsewhere! And the peanut butter in the cup is creamier and more«real» than what you’d get in a Reese’s. Haven’t tried the ice cream yet, but we have had Josh & John’s elsewhere so I think we know what to expect. I subtracted a star for having only one clerk working the counters on each of our visits(this is true for their new downtown store, too), requiring customers next in line to have some patience; their website does not list hours, history, or information on where/how they source the chocolate; and the truffles, which are more expensive than their other chocolate products, are not the best items they have to offer.

Ice creams(5 flavors) were delicious!!! The chocolates were a disappointment. I can’t remember what they were but they were small filled chocolates — key lime pie, tiramisu, raspberry, etc but none of them brought forth the oooooos and ahhhs that we expected. Try one before buying a whole box is my suggestion. Very very nice people though and I wanted to give them a higher rating because they were so patient and kind.

Everything was fresh and tasted amazing. We ended up getting a little sampling of a bunch of different candy types. My favorite was the almond berry dark chocolate bark. It was great! They had some many sweets to try it would take a couple visits to try them all. Definitely a fun little place to stop in if your near by.

Excellent ice cream! They have tons of flavors and I had the chocolate coconut flavor and it tasted exactly like an Almond Joy, complete with real coconut and all! We got some truffles to go and while the flavor was good(um hello, it’s chocolate, how can you go wrong?) I thought I was going to crack my crown biting into it – bad boys be hard!

Pikes Peak Chocolate has a large variety of chocolates, a few delectable-looking cupcakes, and houses Josh & John’s ice cream. This dessert shop is definitely worth taking a peek in and will most likely have something you will want to try. I keep getting ice cream there due to the heat and need of something cold and sweet after a visit to the zoo, but next time, I vow I shall return with a review of a cupcake! I did try a salt water taffy sample of what seemed to be Dr. Pepper flavour and was not disappointed.

We came home with $ 17.00 worth of chocolate. And you know what? It was all delicious. My kids had chocolate covered marshmallows and rice krispies. They loved them. The hubby has chocolate covered pretzels and Oreo bark. Yum! I went with truffles. Oh my! The truffles! They were amazing. After spending the day walking through Manitou, this is the perfect treat for the drive home.
