Best Custard I have ever had. Seriously. No one gets the flavor and texture done this good. No where!

Awesome Frozen custard! It’s not as hard of a custard as I like but it sure hits the spot and the owner has a super interesting story. Stop by while strollin through town.

Coming from Dairy Queen saturated Texas, the Avalanche menu is reminiscent of Blizzards. However, the creaminess and fresh toppings take the taste far beyond that of a typical soft serve Blizzard. The owner is so genuinely sweet, it makes the wait well worth it. It’s apparent he truly enjoys what he does. We had the Rapids, butterscotch & salted pecans which was a perfect balance of savory and sweet. The regular size is plenty for two. The countless smiling faces is yet another indication this is the place to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Delish, thick, real ice cream treats! Apple Pie Avalanche is to die for. Giant, delectable chunks of real apple pie! Girl Scout Thin Mint treats are over the top favor!

Great Custard, had the Strawana which was great. Slow service for a busy Saturday. This place Beats local ice cream shops and the cost was $ 27 for five people which was reasonable.

The custard was really good. And a nice guy was working there today! They are very light on the toppings. Could not even taste the cheesecake or caramel that I ordered :(

Tasty custard. Not as rich as the best places found in the mid-west. They are stingy with the toppings and only one worker was there on a super busy Saturday. Overall good but not as great as I have had in the past. They need to hire more workers.

This is definitely the best spot in town for ice cream. Matt Carpenter is always very polite, pleasant, friendly, and definitely has a great sense of humor. The Girl Scout Cookie Avalanche is our favorite. Also, the Incline Volcano is amazing. Matt also lets you create your own, which I definitely recommend. Nothing surpasses this place. Stop in and try it yourself.

How could you go wrong custard oh my goodness it is absolutely divine. The owner is so sweet and always has a smile on his face for all who come and visit him. I personally like his shakes you can add any form of topping to go in it and it is so good. Its small very simple but also very very tasty.

Got the incline avalanche which is chocolate custard with pb and banana and it was good. I’m not much of a custard person and it didn’t blow my mind so…

Delicious custard with lots of serving options, and even a pup cup for your four legged friends. I like the oreo avalanche(similar to a blizzard), but have also had the vanilla custard with strawberry topping– also good. My family visited and got milkshakes, a banana split, a cone, and an incline and everyone loved their choices. Great spot for dessert. They have some seating outside the window, but also nice to get and walk up and down Manitou.

My husband and I stopped here during our 1 Year Anniversary trip and got a Avalanche with butterfinger bits and it was so good!!! I highly recommend stopping here for a cool treat!

Yummy ice cream shop with outside seating. The custard has a nice thick, creamy consistency that allows you to eat the ice cream upside down! Highly recommend the apple pie avalanche, pumpkin pie avalanche, single track avalanche, and butterfinger avalanche. These are the popular flavors, and we got to try them all! Delicious custard and friendly service.

Moving here from the great state of Wisconsin where custard is more common than ice cream, my husband and I had to try the custard place in the springs with the best reviews. We got a cone and a brownie sundae. Custard was delicious, creamy, perfect consistency, and decadent. The brownie sundae was just ok, for 5 bucks. I may be spoiled from Milwaukee and St Louis custard and sundaes, because I expected a whole warm brownie in the sundae. What I got were crumbled pieces of part of a brownie. Next time, I’m sticking to the custard and trying the avalanches!

Okay yes, it is the dead of December in Colorado, but for whatever reason, I was in the mood for ice cream and happened to be walking in front of Manitou’s Colorado Custard Company. I’m more than happy I stopped, and if you don’t want to read any further? Know that this is without a doubt the best Ice Cream joint I’ve found in the Springs. Star 1: How was the service and atmosphere? It’s nothing more than an outdoor stand to be honest, but in this case, the beauty is in the simplicity. There was one man behind the counter, but his warmth, wit and charm brought a quick smile to the faces of my friends and I. Brilliant. Star Granted. Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost? $ 4.51 seemed like a bit much for my «Apple Pie Avalanche», but I was far from disappointed. This was a sizable quantity of ice cream and a full piece of apple pie. Star Granted. Stars 3 and 4: How was the food? Okay what? I would have guessed that an Avalanche were comparable to a McFlurry, but boy was I wrong. I was surprised when the server took an entire piece of apple pie and put it in a cup, and was truly blown away when he was able to blend it with vanilla frozen custard. From there, the taste blew me away. Yes, this is like a McFlurry, but about a thousand times better tasting with fantastic consistency. It’s slow to melt as well! Dual Stars Granted. Star 5: Would you eat here every day if you could? Friendly service and a wonderful selection of high-quality treats at a reasonable price? Yup, this is as good as it gets. Star Granted.

On the hunt for the natural spring water around the city in the AM. I stumbled across this place as it was open. The day was starting to get hot so and the special of the day is Lemon Avalanche. Wow good thing I got a large because it was sooooooo good and refreshing. The gentleman, Vic, who works there, possibly the owner was very amiable and nice. Somehow he switched from the custard guy to a tour guide. he showed us all these cool spots on the map on where to visit and everything. I really appreciated all his help and dedication to customer service =) CCC gets 5 stars!!! **So I came back another 4 times throughout the 2 days of stay in the city and got the Malt, shakes and another Avalanche… I asked him is there another CCC somewhere? The answer is no… well I look forward to returning to Manitou Springs soon!
