My expectations of sausage pizza are generally low, but when your lunch companion is 4 years old, getting something adventurous can be more trouble than it is worth. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the simple can actually be quite noteworthy. This was, hands down the most delicious sausage pizza I have had in some time. The sauce was so tasty, the crust light and the herbs on top were a great perk for a grown up palate, but not too overwhelming for the kid. I would definitely recommend this place for families. It was great! A Manitou Springs gem.

Awesome spot for pizza. The crust was not too thick or thin, just in between. Not soggy. My friend and I ordered the Jackie O. I normally would not order such a pizza but decided to go outside the box and I was more than amazed. Pesto and feta, how can one go wrong? They also have a full bar selection, another plus. I wish we had a spot like this back at home. PS. they do have a single person bathroom.

If I could give this place not one star, I would. Service was TERRIBLE. They don’t have a POS system to do their orders, so they have to add everything by hand on a piece of paper. We had a server seat us, get out drinks, take our order… Then a different lady brought us our food. On their menu it states«15% gratuity will be added to a party with 6 or more» (We had 5 people) We got our bill and gratuity had been added… By hand, everything we ordered was written down with a price next to it and it all added at the bottom.(State tax and gratuity) Our server had attitude, acted REALLY unprofessional; rolled eyes, was sassy… Ect. We asked to just speak to the manager… A dread headed lady came out and said«you’re going to pay the total it says or I’m calling the cops» Then it began to turn into an argument(which should NEVER happen unprofessionally in a business) Our total had just been added wrong and that’s all we were trying to say. Our bill was too much. The lady then proceeded to call the police on us. When they showed up she said«those are my favorite police officers in town and smiled» The officer asked the«manager» what her story was and told us we need to pay the amount it said, which was $ 10 more than it should’ve been… VERYUNPROFESSIONALANDTERRIBLESERVICE!!!

The pizza was decent, but not very filling. It had very thin crust and they weren’t too generous with the toppings. They only have one size of pizza, which is too big for one person but not big enough for two. A couple of people in our party got the tomato soup — they said it was decent and pretty tangy.

Take a break from«the box» pizzas! Really nice to enjoy artisan pizza. The crust is delicious, topped with the perfect amount of sauce.

Pizza is pretty good but the service sucks. Waited an hour for a personal size pizza.

The flathead crust was uninspiring and flavorless. We paid $ 1.50 extra for roasted red peppers and they gave us about 4 minut pieces. The menu said there would be fresh basil on the pizza, but the only place we found it was on the menu. Don’t go.

Older little place and cute with all the Marilyn décor. Just like every little restaurant I’ve been to, no restrooms and they charge for refills. Small menu but why go to a pizza place and get a salad? Lol. J/K. Server was great and we got our food within 10 mins of ordering. I ordered: Grilled Chicken Pizza with BBQ sauce. I was happy! I ate almost the whole thing(pizzas are 10 inches, like the size of a dinner plate). I love thin crust pizzas and the crunchy-ness was perfect. And«YES!!» to the fresh basil sprinkled on top.

What a delicious place to go. A very unique atmosphere and great people. The pizzas they have are worth the price and also worth waiting for. The first time we went there was during the Mardi Gras parade. A packed place at the time but they were really good at serving everyone who came in

The staff was excellent and so was the pizza! We had the Supreme pizza, slightly modified and we really enjoyed it. The crust was yummy. I would definitely eat here again!

The pizza is great here. The pizza has a thinner crust and they have many unique flavor combinations that can’t be found anywhere else in Manitou. The service is also excellent. We’ve been in a hurry before and they were able to get us our pizza in 8 minutes! Definitely worth a try.

I recently visited Marilyn’s with a friend of mine. We shared a Manitou pizza and it was amazing! It was definitely on of the best pizzas I have ever had. The service was great, the waitresses were very friendly! We had a great time and I would definitely go again.

I’d like to be able to say that the food is good. From what I hear, it is. Unfortunately, I had to leave my group before the food arrived because it took over an hour. To be fair, we had a very large group. It still took much longer than expected and other tables were served out of turn. It’s a neat place, but not a good place for a large group.

When you walk in, you get buffeted by pictures of Marilyn Monroe. Once you get past this, you notice the décor and the room looks like it is still stuck in the 50’s. Loved it. I had the Philly cheesesteak here, and being from Philly, I’ve found there are 2 types of steaks: Philly steaks, and steaks cooked as philly steaks. Marilyn’s offers the cooked steak, and it is the best I’ve ever had. I even considered ordering one to go! If you ever find yourself in this area, please don’t let the appearance fool you.

Pizza crust is pretty tasty, and overall the pie had a good flavor. Milk shakes are simple with no ponce. Overall it was an ok stop for an afternoon meal. The service was a little on the slow side for there only being us and one other table.

Thin crust pizza is awesome! We had Manitou Pioneer, substituting sausage for ground meat. Cold Beehive wheat beer and friendly service! 10″ pizza plenty for 2.

Do I believe in love at first sight? Nah. But I did love Marilyn’s at first sight. From a distance even. How I got there: Mom, Munchkin and I had just finished ogling at the beauteous sights of Garden of the Gods when we found a handy little route into Manitou Springs. Since parking on the main road is difficult, we found a spot near the park by the water that runs through town. Across the river was a building on stilts with old windows. One of the occupants was a pizza place(according to the big letters that read«PIZZA» on the back of the building). Perfect! Lunch time, folks! We crossed through the park over a pretty little bridge and found the front entrance to a building whose title is painted in pink on the window. Inside, the walls were adorned with pictures of the gorgeous Mariyln Monroe. And by adorned I mean, almost covered with frames. The most important part: Mom and I shared a «Manitou» pizza. Although I initially told myself I’d only eat a slice or two, I couldn’t stop myself from shoving my third piece of cheesy, vegetable heaven into my mouth. It was a perfect mixture of sun-dried tomato, mushrooms and artichoke hearts that sunk into a lovely mozzarella which laid on an olive-oil soaked crust. I believe Marilyn’s has become a must on any trip I take down south from now on. Oh! Bring cash! They don’t take credit cards. There is an ATM next door if you’re caught unaware though.
