Overall not bad but there were a couple of issues. The inn is in a good location right across from MN State University and the facilities are decent. Free parking and free Wi-Fi. There is a mini fridge, microwave, lot of outlets for charging electronics, and the bed was fine — clean linens which is always good. They offer a free breakfast but it’s basically lots of carb items like bread, bagels, and cereal. Nothing in the way of hot eggs or bacon. The two issues we had were: there was a bad B.O. Smell in our room and we actually had to buy air freshener to make it bearable; also the bathroom smelled as if the floor had been mopped with dirty mop water. Next, as I was sitting in the room, another guest opened the door and almost walked in. It turns out that he’d been assigned my room. We needed to go to the front desk and the attendant(I think he was an assistant manager or something) did not even apologize for the problem. Further when the second guest’s key was reprogrammed, my key stopped working and I had to return to the front to get my key to work. This is the same attendant who when we checked out didn’t offer any sort of thanks or ask how our stay was — just a rude attitude. There are many motels and hotels in Mankato. Americinn has good nightly rates but I think next time I will stay somewhere else.

Good place to stay to watch Minnesota vikings training camp, has a pool and hot tub, only bad thing is in edible eggs for breakfast

Great place to stay, across the street from Minnesota state university! Pros: indoor pool and spa, billiard tables, free hot breakfast(waffle iron and scrambled eggs), free wifi, all day free coffee. Pillows are great. A/c in the room. We had a great whirlpool. Cable tv: wake up to sport center everyday. Newly renovated rooms. Only con: walls are thin. Very thin. You should check in– I recommend.
